Hey have you tried deceypting thr backup for this via OpenSSL? I am testing one of these and recovery on a Coldcard always fails, but does work via OpenSSL, but throws skme warnings.
while it does not have a screen, the balance can still be easily verify on the Nunchuk right? I think it is a good option if one need to go travelling.
Can the tapsigner be reset to create a new bitcoin wallet/private key so if a friend gave me a already use tapsigner can it be reset to create a new private key and/or backup.
Great tutorial. Something about this reminds me a bit of Arculus Wallet without having used it yet. Similar but Arculus uses their own software wallet interface?
Hey, thanks for the awesome videos. Quick question, can you setup Multisig ON the Coldcard instead of Nunchuk, then export them to Nunchuck for better security ?
Ben, any insights or comments on Tapsigner vulnerability to NFC cloning tools like Flipper Zero? Not much out there on this and I figured if anyone could get the skinny, it'd be you. Cheers and thanks for all you do.
It's now been like a year. How come no other wallets support this yet? You didn't mention anywhere that the device does not produce a 24-word phrase for writing on a steel wallet. How do you protect the "backup file" itself from fire?
Thanks! Main thing is that Coldcard allows you to confirm transaction details on the hardware itself, whereas you're just trusting your phone hasn't been compromised when you use the tapsigner.
I rep'd two TSigners recently and have been getting all sorts to errors from the Nunchuck app. Holding the card very steady in the phone's 'sweet spot' seemed to help. I was able to get both keys recognized, and finally a functional 1 of 1 wallet. But I constantly get a "std: exception" message every time I try to make a 1of2 or 2of2 multisig wallet. I assume the Nunchuck wallet needs a bit of polishing up?
I continue to get errors. The keys are saved to the card but I'm not getting the backup file. Instead I get a prompt to open in Brave browser on my phone and it tells me Im good and to name the key., however I've yet to receive the backup file. What should I do?
I think it is more likely for BTC to retest the resistance to the upside and then move lower. But as always, things change on a daily basis and all we can do is to trade responsibly and keep track of the markets and re-evaluate our strategies frequently. I want to thank you Alice vanesha For being my source of crypto education, As I am comfortably making 9.5 BTC.
I have a similar testimony, with 1.5Btc, I already have 6.8Btc within 3 months since of contacting .For about a year now with smooth strategy, i've seen them deliver solutions above my expectations I would refer her in all forms. .
yeah, i have worked with her and she did wonderfully for me by trading for me and making me grow my 6btc to 18btc within weeks . not even up to a month .

What happens if you need to do the backup and you have more than 1 wallet associated with the tapsigner?
Thank you for these videos. This has helped me immensely remove my bitcoin off of the exchange

Thanks for the helpful vid, Ben. Is that backup file you sent to Google Drive encrypted?

Can a Tapsigber be used in a mulitsig wallet as well as in another hit wallet?
If someone got your encrypted backup file…how long would it take to brute force it?
Are you able to print off the backup file?

They recently added Sparrow Wallet support.

How is coldcard more secure than this ?
Thanks!

I get the same errors and no backup file.
@@gannicus8228 I’ve given up on it for now. I’ll check-in in 6 months.

Did you accidently associate opening whatever file type in Brave? Not sure if that's gonna be a fix.
