Such a great video (and channel in general!). I hope this video gets a lot more love considering ESC 2023 (hopefully in Glasgow or Manchester!). Cheap Ryanair flights from Dublin 😂👏🏻
I really liked this one! It’s got more humor in it than I expected, and the little cuts into song lines or other jokes do a great job breaking up the video. I thought it was very interesting that you brought up the ending of the orchestras in Eurovision, I had only ever really seen reference to recent ones and so hadn’t considered that.
Thanks so much! Haha yes, I thought it'd be necessary to have the usual sprinkling of British humour within this episode in very apt style. And yes the orchestra bit is an interesting one: being the last officially within the contest but having some appearances later on in various guises. Being so significant within Eurovision it's definitely still referred to quite a bit on occasion. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Your content is simply amazing and gives an important perspective to Eurovision that both fans and not so fans definitely should see! Thank you from Finland!
well, I am back one year later after this video (and 24 years after the UK last hosted Eurovision Song Contest), and I think, in 2022, UK has the biggest chance, since 2009 and 2011, to win it all over again and bring the contest home in 2023.
I agree - it's been a long time since having such a major positive feel for the UK entry - who knows, maybe a high left side scoreboard finish being likely..! (And thus meaning a sterling British production of the contest on the cards when it comes back around!)
I'm also a fan of Eurovision - since 1985 to be precise. I'm curious if you already have your own song that you think should win in Liverpool or would you like a specific country to win to see how they organize the contest in 2024 or it doesn't matter to you? Greetings from Poland
Cześć 😄! Thanks for your comment! Ooh that'd be interesting, a Eurovision Song Production Contest haha! Looking at the wide variety of polished National Finals out there we can see there would be some incredible productions, whoever wins. The way things are looking with a likely Swedish win we know they'll deliver a fab show; and another fan favourite Finland had a good show back in 2007 and may come back with something new, to name just a few. Infact, some of the current top 10 betting odds (🇸🇪, 🇫🇮, 🇺🇦, 🇳🇴, 🇮🇱, 🇪🇸, 🇬🇧, 🇦🇹, 🇫🇷) I feel could wow audiences next year - Spain being the one with the longest waits to win so they could completely deliver something unique. In any case, I'm always excited to see how a country takes the challenge and really makes it theirs - bring on 2024!
I saw a clip on this on Twitter and was so confused about the good quality/UA-cam presenting because I wasn't sure if this video itself was an old TV clip from the late 90s 🤣
Can people stop blaming Ulrike when it was actually Conny who said it was a long time ago first!! Mate, you're supposed to report the facts. Shame on you
Fantastic overview Fernand! Lots of great insight and some real 90s nostalgia there! 😄
Bringing a real blast from the past! Cheers Linus! Always great to hear from you and glad you enjoyed!
I can't wait to see what the BBC will do in 2023.
How do you not have thousands of viewers? This was great!
Adding the time stamps is a nice touch🔥 Love how professional your content always looks too! Sick
Just found your channel today. I would have died for this kind of video years ago - what a phenomenal channel, deserves to be everywhere!

Glad you enjoyed the video!
This is the first Eurovision show I remember watching. I was quite small but I was obsessed with the VHS my mom recorded :D
Time for the BBC to host again now!

Suomi in the house! Kiitos from London! Thanks so much for watching!

4:01 Literally another year later we came 2nd again 😂😂
Great video man! Can you do other Eurovisions too please?
Absolutely! Do check out my channel where I also have 2019, 2021 and 2022 all to enjoy! Plus other big live shows too...

Haha, that's quite the compliment in a way - being that good it feels like something from years ago! Thanks for watching all the same!
It's coming home is an English thing. Not UK
