In this episode: The Führer's death was announced by radio from his headquarters: 'Our Führer, Adolf Hitler, died this afternoon in his command post in the Reich Chancellery, fighting to the last breath against Bolshevism for Germany! In truth, Hitler took his own life on April 30, 1945. The following day, his close confidant Joseph Goebbels and his family followed suit. The death of this prominent National Socialist brought the so-called 'Thousand Year Reich' to a swift and tragic end. The Wehrmacht signed an unconditional surrender just days later, and the Allies took control of Germany. While the war in Europe concluded, fierce battles raged on in the Pacific, only to be altered by the introducing of a new, devastating weapon.
Yeah, I totally totally hear you on that. It ain’t right. Especially since you’re paying for premium. And it bugs me to death how they’ll let any scam artist or entity with a crummy product run ads that we are forced to at least partially watch.
@@Luca.Bruschetta You know, occasionally I’ve seen a video on you tube that was edited and I was able to find and purchase it elsewhere. But that’s doesn’t always work out. We do need a place to go to find good and unedited material. Peace out ✌️
@@KevinN-df8eo This really is an excellent series. It is the perspective from German historians and they’ve gone at this darkest of chapters in their own history with a thoroughness and a meticulousness not seen that often.
My mothers' brother was among the troops that liberated the camps. He was a sensitive soul, and what he saw disturbed him so badly he took his own life after 10 years of alcoholism and nightmares.
I know it means I am a nasty person... but I react badly every time I hear any of this "Oh the Werhmacht prisoners were treated badly by the allies.... " Really? So what? What on earth did they expect after how THEY treated everyone else? Whats that saying about sowing the wind and reaping the whirlwind?
Granted, I know the Soviet generals were despicable because two of them were competing as who could get to Berlin first and as if it wasn’t bad enough, the Soviet general through their soldiers into fire unnecessarily westward it was even more of a canon fodder event going into Berlin and it’s heartbreaking, but that’s communism for you

brought the so-called 'Thousand Year Reich' to a swift and tragic end. What is so tragic about the end of ww2 in europe ?
could have done without the 1984 censorship
UA-cam had become so infantilizing. 😠 I'm an adult who pays for Premium. I can handle some disturbing images and unfortunate words. 😡

Right!!!
Me too dude, like we're gonna need an entirely new app for the grown ups with a few bucks to spare 😡 😂😢

Agree and censor the word suicide is BS. Come on UA-cam, your politics on videos is insane.
Excellent series on a topic very heavily shown on YT. Glad I watched it.

Don't praise it after you cover it in censorship blurs. There's even audio censors in this.
Thank you for the series

You believe the lies.😂
It's how you feel. Your not a bad person for feeling that way. I feel the same.
Très bonne série
Big fan ... but can we have experts from the other side too
And today, we are still fighting the bolshavics
Where do you live, just so I can avoid getting mixed up with it🫣😂
I usubscribed . I'm not a child and don't need protection from reality.
No thumbs up for those who bow to the bullies of u.t. And the reason I'll not subscribe!
Don’t mess with the Red arm
1000th view :)
They used the English for Belorussian --- White Russian. 1st White Russian Front for Zhukov's 1st Belorussian Front.
If you were German surrendering to the Russians was a 10 year sentence to the east if your were lucky.
Ironic the Germans were so good at retreat

If Germans did not have the Russian front americans and english would have never gone past the Normandy beaches
They are still the enemy
