    That was a lucky find in the dumpster. Pleased to find your video. We have 2 of these exact same heaters, one is not heating. Will take it apart tomorrow. Thank you.

    Here we are in 2022: I use the radiators since the utility cost of an electric boiler has continued to raise, just purchased (2) (5) piece lots from China, $10.26 total on eBay for KSD301 Temp over range cut off switch.

    Perhaps the oil leak caused the short of the thermostat, as the plastic connection looks burnt.

      What failed:
      KSD301 snap action disc thermostat, 90 °C, NC (open on rise), 120V, 16A, made by Ningbo Yuanfang Thermostats Co.Ltd
      Replaced by:
      NTE-DTO190 - SNAP ACTION DISC THERMOSTAT OPEN ON RISE 190 DEGREE F +/-5 LOOSE BRACKET 1/4 INCH QC TERMINALS www.nteinc.com/circuit_protection/disc_thermostats/disc_thermostats.pdf
