Man I binged the playlist a few weeks ago and felt sad that it had been months and the devs hadn't seemingly added custom games. I saw reviews saying the game was dead, and lost all hope... and yet, Chilled always delivers. Nice. Loved this game more than I thought I would
The game just had a free weekend and was on sale for $7.
It's a *fantastic* game. Yes, it has experienced players and a learning curve, but it's incredibly fun!
The devs added private lobbies back in october. They were just really late to it. The video he did months ago was also private lobbies. They also update the game pretty regularly.
*correction. He streamed a private lobby session months ago but didn't upload it to youtube. My mistake.

@@teliotyI hope so. When they started playing these before privet lobby’s. I was same near instantly hooked. I was sad that they stopped playing. But I understood why they stopped.
I hope they continue to play this now that privets are a thing.

Good to know private lobbies are finally in, I always felt like this is a game this group would return to every month or so with that.
Hopefully the exposure from you guys playing will give a boost to the player count because I feel that's the game's biggest hurdle

It seems fun
Its great. I got into it because Chilled first started making videos on it. Then watched Kara and skadj play it for a month before getting it myself. Ended up putting a few hundred hours into it at this point and its one of my favorite games in recent years.
Unfortunately you just missed a 2 day free weekend and a 60% off sale on it that was running for a week but its a good buy.

I don't know how this game doesn't get talked about more? I don't really ever hear about it except on Chilled's and Friends' channels
The games population was really really low until recently. Thats probably why. They were tweaking a lot of the game to make it flow better, so new stuff wasn't coming out to really get people excited i guess.
They just did a free weekend (last weekend) and lined it up with a 7 day 60% off discount (no longer running). So the populations doing a lot better than it was but still not great.
I love the game but took like a 6month break from it (though a lot of that wasn't my choosing). But there were definitely times I'd get on, try to find a game and just not find one due to the low population and just get off. I find games now at least.
Also its a game that i feel like you absolutely love or you find boring. Not really much in between. And its kinda niche in a way. At the end of the day its a fps but you need to like the deduction and deception part on top of it. At the end of the day its still an fps, but you can't just treat it as only an fps to really enjoy and have fun with it. If that makes sense.
It had an issue where it failed to retain enough people, basically. Bunch of people got too good at the game and it's not much fun to get shot 30 seconds into the match (and you don't even know what you did wrong)...
At some point, all that was left was the stupidly good players who didn't even bother to blend in anymore, making the game bleed even more players due to rising skill floor and just loss of fun (this is about where the Kara/Skadj/Ozza group stopped playing... wayyy after everyone else had stopped playing).
Last I checked (before the free weekend), it had like 80 players, which means further issues even starting games. Best thing they've done recently is adding spy-bots to emulate non-skilled players so new people have a chance to actually play the game.

On the first full game: that's really cool that they have in-word progression through the night when it's time for each successive step of the mission. Like the big event of the night starts when it's time to infiltrate the vault? That's really cool!
The sequence of showing off that glorious vaudevillain mustache at 1:27 is just golden.

God, I so wish I could be with this type of players, just having fun and doing the objectives, while also trying to win at times. I enjoy trying to stay hidden throughout until the package is in play, but I know that isn't always viable.

I remembered when they wished for custom lobbies, I am glad it exists now it is funny seeing the crew do spy versus spy advance, why do I call it advanced because spy versus spy is a 1v1 game in the 80s also an ok cartoon!
I wonder how much harm they did themselves by waiting on adding custom lobbies. Probably would have kept creators on it longer, keeping it in streams/YT longer, therefore more exposure.
@@IRanOutOfPhrases I'm confused. Firstly, private lobbies were added back in October 2023. Its not like they were just added and thats why Chilleds making the video now. (Also Chilleds played a session before this a couple months ago with private lobbies, I don't think he made a video on it though, so you would've had to catch the stream). Anyway, the devs also communicated since the release of the game that they knew private lobbies was a very popular feature request but it would take them awhile to add it. It was always on their road maps. They didn't "wait to add custom lobbies", they added them when they could. You could argue it still "took too long" but it was never going to come out faster than they could do it.
Lots of creators said they'd play the game a lot once private lobbies were added, but outside of Chilleds group (albeit late, but not as late as this upload makes it seem) I don't know any that came back.
Its a fun and great game. But its either going to be someones cup of tea or its not. Like you're either going to love the game or you're going to find it boring. Theres not much inbetween.
@@lazer1061 I guess the game hasn't been out as long as I thought. Although I still have to wonder if not releasing the game with that option was still an issue. It always seemed like they had fun when they were playing it. But they definitely stopped playing it prior to October. How much longer would they have spent on it if they could continue to enjoy their own shenanigans with the usual 'Among Us' crowd?
yeah this game is probably only 1 or 2 years old, as for chilled group taking their sweet time doing a custom lobby, that boils down to other priorities lots of games little time between editing and streaming and set up which is overlooked by the viewer, set up is actually harder than it looks!

I'm surprised that someone who has been subbed to this channel for 3+ years has this dog shit of an opinion. First, we can talk from a business point of view. This channel only has to feed my family, it doesn't have to support a whole company. So right there your point is invalid. Secondly this is essentially a VoDs channel. I stream on Twitch and will continue to post VoDs here as it's what people want, but that isn't the driving force. It's extra. Even if this channel stalled to 10k views a video (Which is still a lot), it's still extra. Third betting on REAL people to fail or comparing it to people who lost jobs is always a shit thing to do.
