Sir you are so right about the Fordsync4 site. Wish you had made this video in September. I have been trying to get a refund from them since October. The product looked like it was pride out of the vehicle with a crowbar, screen was a mess and bottom pins were cut off with a razor knife, What a mess. When I wanted to return it they just started senting me bad engish emails that made no sense and finale a video to install that the got from a Maverick truck club member..I have been going through the credit card company for a refund and will see how that goes. You are the best and most down-to-earth, more mature gentleman. Thanks for the information on how to upgrade. The physical end I could handle, not so sure about the programming. I have done a little, but this maybe more than I could handle. Thanks again for the info doing these videos.
You received yours??? I received a couple of trim pieces and the module. Nothing else, my emails have also gone unanswered. This was ordered 2 months ago.

Funny how here you show up a couple days later. 😉 As for the Maverick - may not be the best idea to take a trip to CHINA now. After they process you through customs they’ll arrest you for saying bad things about Chinamen. I’m still here, and I’m still following. Give us an update on the Toyota soon. Cheers!

I order a Sync 4 for my Explorer. Alot of problems. The APIM was from a 2021 Edge but programmed to an Ford Mustang. I got the system working but had another guy program an F-150 APIM with Nav. I did get $300 back from them.
Saw this kit online about a week ago and really like the idea of the upgrade but when I saw the price... Huge red flag. No way in hell would I pay anywhere near that price.
I bought a full 13.2” screen and APIM from a 2023 Escape. I built the harness and got everything working. I just didn’t have a good way to mount the 13.2” and it would be floating (I didn’t like the look) so I sent it back as the eBay seller allowed returns. I bought this kit but it hasn’t arrived yet. Looks like I’ll have to do a bunch of forscan fixes.
Have you contacted them at all and have you experienced the same thing I did with like them taking forever to respond to anything ? The kit will work as long as you take forscan and adapt it But you can buy the same components. Much cheaper.
I bought it just a few days ago so I haven’t contacted them. I would have kept the Escape screen if I had a good way to mount it. The APIM would have only needed minor tweaks to turn off the climate control.
@@Fitzgerald52 Yeah I have a 13.2 screen and same here it worked fine but the mounting was an issue - I also thought the 12 " screen looked more factory. The screen they are selling is from a transit or a Chinese vehicle - the screen portion is identical to a Ford F150 screen with an added plastic cover on the back. Let me know your experience :)
Just got a 2023 Ford maverick hybrid hybrid lxt, and I might buy an adapter, but if you can, provide a link to the products you use to upgrade and how to. I would gladly appreciate it
Most of the big manufacturers lock the software so you have to go to a dealer/ shop licensed by ford to make the system software corelate. Make sure the way the electrical connection doesn't void your warranty.
