Here in Brazil we have this board called "SuperGun" to consolize the MVS and costs about U$30 (just the board that plugs into the jamma connector, no controllers, mvs board or external shell)
Those are in other countries too

For the price, it really is unbeatable. But I myself like it when my Consolitzed MVS runs at 5v like the open MVS.

I bought this unit from time harvest a while back and it's still working great. Some versions have USB ports and others use Saturn ports. All have neo get pprts

I always wanted a Neo Geo as a kid but never had one. I don't know anyone who did. If money were no object, I'd buy this if original AES hardware was too hard for me to find.

The previous one I did a video on is really cool, has more video options and controller options, so if once you receive it and it works fine... yeah you are good. This one is just a basic cheaper option, I kind of like that but also I think the biggest con for this cheaper one is the weird 4 pin power supply... i dunno how I would replace that... the previous Neo Geo I did a video on uses a barrel jack and is easily replaced... I wound up buying a better power supply for that one easily... so to me being able to replace a power supply easily is a big pro.

I once had a consolizrd MVS board put together from a place called Neotropolis and their customer service was the worst I've ever experienced so I ditched it and got a whole arcade 😂
I have a couple consolized Neo Geo MVS units & carts from Neotropolis and never had an issue. This was back in 2015-2017

20 years ago I got an original AES with no game and a controller for $150 years. Later it wasnt working fine . But this is a nice deal since it is bases on original hardware
Now I just have emulators to play these great games

How's the video quality of this compared to that $250 one you reviewed a week earlier that looks like the AES case? Or how does it look compared to an Open MVS?
I actually bought a home system and still own it but I never bought a game. I did buy a 2 cart full size arcade MVS and owned for 10 years and bought 10 carts for it.

Hi, I purchased this along with the Bitfunx 2x adapter but the colors are way oversaturated and the picture looks awful. Not sure if its the 2x adapter or maybe I got a bad MVS system? Any suggestions @Madlittlepixel ?

Higher Voltage RGB out was the issue thru the av port in that one if i remember, good question, seems GBS Control has options for that.

Is this completely safe to plug into an OSSC? My memory may be faulty but I seem to remember, way back in the day, you fried an OSSC with a NeoGeo. This option looks dope and I'm thinking about grabbing it. Let me know!
yes, it will be fine with an ossc. I tried it on the ossc with component cables. The older one that fried my ossc was a combination of issues it appeared... probably partially my fault I think.

@shermansheepherda8488 161 works on original hardware, he is talking about emulation and mentions steam so probably retroarch or similar rather than hardware emulation MIster FGPA etc. 161 cart on a nice MVS is my preferred way too. (Well I'd prefer the actual games but you know what I mean)
if you like the emulation its fine, Steam is just not a thing most genuine game collectors really want
they need to make bootleg neogeo carts because real ones are stupid expensive
