when he spoke french, i was waiting he says : "Monsieur La Paditte"
xDD
Tu aimes la langue Française c'est bien 👍. Une langue avec énormément d'histoire.
"merci pour le lait"
Hahahaha...
Au revoir shoshanna
the last clip was soooo unexpected.
He was fantastic in Inglorious Bastards, loved the Italian scene at the cinema. 😂🤣😂 Great actor!
yep his Italian in the film is on-point, it's a joy to see an actor so artfully skilled in the craft
I'm in Montreal, Canada and fluent in English and French. While watching Inglorious Basterds I didn't even notice the switches in language from English to French & vice versa. Just when the dialogue was in German I watched the subtitles.
that's so badass! I am brazilian and speak portuguese and english. I find it awesome when people speaks in another language
I had a friend growing up who would speak to his parents in Arabic then turn around and talk to us in English and we asked him once did you realize you were just speaking Arabic and he said no. Being bilingual is fascinating to someone who isn’t, I mean as you say you didn’t even really pick up on it as it’s all just words you understand. to repeat myself, fascinating.
I did the exact opposite. Understood the German speaking, but had to read subs when speaking french
idem for Italian, he is astounding
I wish I was bi lingual
they're missing the strudel.
What a gem 💖
1:22 That's a bingo! LMAO!
The ultimate "before they were famous" moment
I love how this is something absolutely insane in America, because every high school attendee in Austria has to know 3 languages XD
So true. In Germany you (normally) have to speak at least three languages to be allowed to attend university. I learned three foreign languages in school and two at university (one was Latin, though, that doesn't count).
it's also impressive in the UK because learning a language isn't compulsory. You're very lucky you have to learn languages in school. It's nobody's fault their country doesn't have the same curriculum.
@@bluebellbeatnik4945 Absoutely, but I believe that every person of this new generation, meaning age 20-35, should at the very least be fluent in 2 languages. It's necessary in a globalized world to communicate beyond your immediate vicinity.
I mean, Austria fits like 57 times in USA or Canada and every country within a 500km radius speaks a different language.
Here, in Canada, you can drive 24/24 for 7 days straight and you still haven't left the country and everyone speaks the same language, except Québec, which I hail from and of course, I speak French too.
@@jaybee9716And Americans such as myself, ditto, except we don’t have Quebec so we just speak English and maybe Spanish which is something we have on you guys. You may speak more French but we speak more Spanish. All in all it’s not because we are dumb , which is the stereotype, it’s because of Geography and History 😊
He speaks Italian as well
It was mostly in Inglorious Basterds.
@@lindildeev5721 not just in the movie. In an interview, Tarantino said he thought he will never be able to find an actor for Landa's role, because he needed someone who speaks English, German, Italian and French fluently and also someone who will have the charisma of Landa's character. Luckily, he found Christoph Waltz, just the perfect guy for Landa's role and an incredible actor.
au revoir shoshanna!
Attendez la crème...
It was a great movie with multiple languages
"A river Derchi". Brad Pitt's extremely bad Italian just killed me.
I loved the singing Waltz!!!!!!
Amazing actor.
what a legend man i swear
The one I like the most is the last 1977 part :)
Pure genius!
I'm humbled to be the same species as him
You can tell his mother language is German, he learned English first then French.
It is amazing, that in addition to Austrian, he speaks English, French and even German! I wonder if he speaks Swiss as well.
Aren't Austrian and German the same language?
@@YoureRightIThink pretty sure it’s a joke since Austrian and Swiss aren’t languages
I‘ve heard that he also speaks Liechtensteinish
@@YoureRightIThink Depends how you define language. We have different dictionaries and some grammar rules are different. But both countries call there written language German and Austrian is only s spoken dialect
@@ObamaGaming44 Switzerditsch (Swissgerman) is a different language to German.
Austrian is just a bunch of austrobavarian dialects and not a seperate language
He spoke 4 languages in Inglorious Basterds.
He speaks even some Italian
Well, I like him very much but it is not so uncommon for a european to speak more than two languages. I've learned english, spanish, french, a bit swedish and russian and I'm german.
@Felix ertl hä wtf wenn man auf dem gymnasium war kann man auf jeden fall 3 sprachen
When you learn it though is your French as bad as his?
1:22
what german show was this at the end?
Am dam des
italian missing
Attendez la crème 🙂
1977: that's Numberwang!
Ein deutscher spricht deutsch. Sensationell.
Unsinn, Christoph Waltz ist doch kein Deutscher.
Nein, er ist Österreicher.
er ist von Österreich
@@hideonclouds das ist natürlich dann wirklich sensationell
Er ist deutsch-österreichischer ihr Pfeifen.
Aber er spricht auch zwei anderen Sprachen. Das ist sehr gut, besonders in Amerika.
WOW his German is so good
He is from Austria👀
@@alexbond8473 r/woosh
Waltz ist aus österreich mann, das is warum waltz Deutsche ist so gut
Amazing, his accent is the same in all three, i figured he wouldn't have an accent in German but i guess that's like expecting John Malcovich to not have an accent in English
Just watch Inglorious basterds. He speaks german, english, french and italian in it
Dominic decoco
@@casimirkulikowski5949 maaargheeriitttti
his german is surprisingly good.
I mean he is austrian
well... duh
He’s Austrian compay
Lmao, Austrians are native German speakers
Once I had business with an Italian born in Canada he could speak seven languages.
Let him learn Polish, it will be something ;-)
He speaks Austrian and Italian as well. His Spanish is very good also. He’s a bit like Viggo Mortensen who speak like 10 languages fluently. It’s crazy…
View viggo mortensen speaking 7 languages!
He speaks Austrian and French I know that.
bruh „austrian“ lmao
@@huan9207 : Would it satisfy you if I said German?
Waltz speaks German with little to no obvious accent. Is he from Wien? Or just speaking clear standard German?
He was born in Vienna (Wien)/Austria but he speak high-german just like u in germany. He lives now in (Vienna/Berlin and Los Angeles)
English Anglais Englisch
French Francais Französisch
German Allemand Deutsch
I’m sorry, but all I hear is Hans Landa
Te falto el italiano, viejo
How shocking a european speaking 3 languages
How shocking. A European claiming to speak 3 languages, one of which is actually pretty bad.
His French is not very well spoken
Falsch das dritte ist nicht deutsch. Sondern österreichisch
