Ryo did an awesome job on this one ! Much better and interesting than Hyperkill in my opinion
This album was a 10 out of 10 for me I don't care when nobody say about this album
The album started as a 9/10 for me, but after many many repeat listens straight through, is like 11/10 now lol.
The thing is with really really great music sometimes, you have to give it time and "try songs again" when they didn't grab you the first time. The extra effort is almost always worth it, but sadly most people don't know how or why to do this.

@@XavierMacX I feel this so much. First few times I listened to the album I pretty much only liked Acid Inject and Come Home, now when I listen, there is something in each song that I look forward to, especially Looking Glass and Dragon chaser.
Favorite deathcore album this year.
Come home is one of my favourite songs of all time, Darko proved that they are true kings of multiple genres
this album is a masterpiece. it took me a few listens to really get into it. and i now have a personal connection to it because i just lost my childhood cat and i was listening to “Come Home” when she passed. i dont think there couldve been a better song that would remind me of her. unfortunately i usually have to skip that song now cuz it makes me cry 😂
I just absolutely love the variety in this songs. They're not afraid to step out of the box and provide us a full hearing experience.
Infinite Beauty is probably favorite non metal song of this year, The title is so accurate.
It’s still metal, 100%. Just kinda similar to Kardashev.
I think it falls under Shoegaze.

This album absolutely slaps. It's an absolute feast for the ears, so much variety and originality, perhaps not sections or songs individually but as a package. 9/10.
One of these days Darko is gonna release an EP of nothing but soft songs and everyone will be super confused but still love it.
Come Home is so fucking amazing
I'm not sure if I liked this album or the self-titled more, but I do know that I don't skip any songs on either, and that's fucking ridiculous.
Chat's ratings are stupid imo this album is flawless.

sand script is for sure my favourite. not only because of the piano, but the vocals absolutely go in.
Darkocore at it's finest. Darkomode engaged. Infinite Beauty is a gem. Evolving though, when that feature came in - I just dropped dead. Shaolin G spittin' acid. The features are crazy. Repetitive? Really? Go listen to Lorna Shore's album. XD bleagh!

Despite loving FFAA and Within Destruction, this one's an AOTY for me so far, gotta see what Architects bring to the table
If I had to predict what Architects is going to bring to the table, it would be another highly disappointing album.

At first listen I felt like this was a "alright/10". I've viewed Darko as somewhat of a gimmicky side-project band. But listening back to this album with no expectation or preconceived notions, this fucking slaps. It won't end up as my AOTY, but I can completely understand why it does for some people now.
Soft tracks are my favourites somehow, I (once again) didn‘t expect a Deathcore band like Darko ti write genuinely good emotional songs. I come back to those the most since many other tracks on the album are missing character for me

It is a great album! I love the variety in their songs and the slow ones are every bit as good as the nasty ones. 9/10 for me. It's gonna be hard to decide album of the year, we have so many amazing ones to choose from!!

How come you can see the lyrics for these songs but I can't?
Wasn’t as impressed with this one as much as their last album. This one feels slightly padded and less developed for me. Plus, I’m so used to their style at this point that I’m almost not surprised anymore. Still decent, quite good in fact, but unsure about replay value. Hoping they get more creative in the future, Darko still rocks though!

Big agree on this, once the shock factor is gone on Darko‘s sound it also looses Character and the songs start feeling same-y. You either have a problem with it or not

Didn’t liked the first album

But I am not a huge fan of Tom Barber.
He’s not bad. Absolutely not.
But his style never clicked with me
Will never understand the hype around this band. It's like listening to Emmure in 2022... 🤷🏻♂️
They actually don’t have a lot of time on their hands with BabyJ touring in spite and Tom touring etc with CG. BabyJ just dedicates so much time and effort into all this and then Tom will fly down and bang out vocals. 9.5/10 for me for sure!
