@@loveutubeok it’ll be a bit I think but I’m going to try and put more energy designing these! This will def works for cars but you’ll wanna be really careful not to scratch it
@@stephensun8460 it has a few different ways but mostly by slight friction. There is also a tiny tab on the bottom that clips it onto the bottom of the Osmo pocket 3 so you’ll hear an audible click once it’s in place. It’s a strong hold at that point but once you clip on a battery handle or extension handle it’s not coming off at all and will be locked in place
I just ordered mine (I got both versions because I need a cold shoe mount for lighting (I make beauty videos on the go so that extra bit of lighting goes a long way). I also got the one that fits well with the case because I'd like to keep my pocket 3 protected. Might be overkill, but I needed both functions. If you ever make a magnet mount that has a coldshoe mount AND fits with the dji pocket 3 cover case, I'll buy that one too. Did I mention, I haven't even finalized purchasing the Pocket 3 yet; it's in my cart tho and I'm checking out soon... that's how serious I am! Hey zoss you've got a new sub here! I'm getting my OP3 next month and was looking for a magnetic mount and it seems like i found mine! Watching from Malaysia 🤍
Appreciate your efforts on this! Just got my OP3 and about to place an order, but can you make a quick video/short on the differences of the magnetic covers? Not sure the difference between the friction slide cover and the magnetic cover. Thanks!
I’ll have a full updated video coming soon since the lineup is a bit different and a ton of new accessories are available. In short the difference between those two is the friction on is held on by sliding it onto the back of the magnet and has a different design while the magnetic one has a metal plate inside of it that allows it stick to the magnet and likely won’t accidentally come off. Both block most of the magnetism so the items in ur bag are safe.
hello! sorry about the confusion. This video is a bit outdated. Stay tuned for an updated video soon! Check out the buying guide at the top of the store for more information or use the chat. I'm available :)
it's feedback like yours that really pushes me. Many new ideas came up while redesigning so you definitely helped guide me in the right direction. I appreciate you!
Great job. But t's not a sound studio but a mount. So we should care more about solid mounting than dampened sound on surface contact. I prefer a strong magnetic function for prevention of loss of expensive gears.
Everyone has their own shoot scenarios. Metal to metal is pretty loud. I’ll be making an updated video now but I offer four different magnet options now; peel and stick grip pads, microsuede lined magnet, rubber cover and the bare magnet.
I watched both videos and this is pretty awesome! Congrats on the design. I have a few questions if you don't mind. 1) What are your plans for reintroducing stock on Etsy? Is there an email list to signup for if there is no stock? 2) I missed the explanation of key differences between the compact and dual versions, can you provide details? 3) What are the use cases for each version and would I need both?
Hey! Currently i don’t have it set up but i have a newsletter on my website. Ill have a sub domain for my products sooon with the goal to eventually move from Etsy to my website. The main differences between the two is that the compact version works with the DJI Cover that comes with the pocket 3 while the dual cold shoe version has two cold shoes but does not work with the DJI cover. I would say if you travel or if ur always mobile then the one the compact would be best to protect while transporting but also having the mag mount ready to use. The dual cold shoe ones is definitely more utilitarian being able to attach DJI mics, shotgun mics, and lights. Hope that helps!
You could look into getting this produced by a manufacturer that will be able to make a ton of these so you can sell them before you get knocked off. Or you could do it by investing in a larger machine to produce more. Just a thought, def have a big opportunity
Getting a manufacturer to make these would be a good idea. I'll start looking into it though i dont know where to start lol . I wasnt expecting such a positive reaction tbh
@@iamzossthat’s how you know you got lightening in a bottle haha all the mounts Currently are only the go pro style mounts, no magnets. You can still make money if you can crank out enough by yourself, not sure how long they take to make. But nobody else is currently doing it. I looked 😂
In its current state, yes, as I’ve done it before. I don’t advertise that you can just because it’s risky. I’ll be making a specific car mount attachment that has 2-3 magnets for added security. I’d be more comfortable promoting doing it after that :)
@@iamzoss Sure thing! I placed my order for the mount last night. I can’t wait for it to arrive. I created a bracket for small cameras and gimbals about three years ago put it to Etsy and it still sells today.
LOL I know I can trust the product because you’re almost willing to break your fridge to prove it 😂😂😂 can’t wait to order one *hope it comes with a magnet cap soon lool
will this magnet addition cover up usb port for adding in accesories like a wireless mic receiver? i just bought the lark m2 wireless mic by holllyland and will need to plug the receiver into the usb port to get good audio as i wont be using the dji mic with this
When using the battery extension? There is about 14-16mm of space behind the USB C port after you stick it anything. With no extension, using the usb c port on the bottom you are 100% clear
🙏🙏 the 1/4 mount is really made as another mounting solution. You might be be to fit some smaller friction arms in there when using the magnet but not most. I could make a magnet attachment that adds addition 1/4 or cold shoes by connecting to the magnet when using the built in 1/4 mounting 🤔
Thank you! The 1/4 insert is good to have when you don’t have anything to stick too! When that happens you can use a clamp and friction arm or even add a GoPro mount. Whether or not you neeed it really depends on how u use your osmo!
The test with the fridge is a good idea, but shouldn't the real strength of the magnet be evident from the fact that when you remove the magnet holder, the fridge door opens? At least for the car version.
Smart! My fridge is not that magnetic haha surprisingly. Probably not thick enough metal it almost opened the fridge lol. But the car version will be multiple magnets. I’ll do the door opening test with those for sure!
Who’s excited about the DJI OSMO Pocket MINI?
Just bought the big cage from you 2 hrs ago! Now I see this too!
Should t wait for the car version to come out or do you think this will still work?

Video is good, but too dark to see the details of the product. Does this have the cold shoe mount ability still ?
Yes! The magnet design is the only thing that changed. The dual cold shoe and case friendly mounts remain the same just better magnets
how fast have you been in a car using the microfiber version?
I’ve went up to highway speeds with a safety chain ofc! It’s close to the car so it’s pretty secure.
This a different kinda review.. love this
I am so happy you redesigned it after the last video.

Have you considered that the magnet may have a detrimental effect on the data stored in the Pocket 3 or media… have you tested this???
Hello! The magnet’s power is all in one direction, away from the device. Also microsd cards and other modern storage media aren’t effected by magnets.
