Totally live, she sounds almost studio perfect. She was one of the greatest all-time "frontmen" in rock history. David Lee Roth, Paul Stanley, Robert Plant, Vince Neil. She stands tall amongst any of them.
The Runways were awesome how they aren’t in the RNRHOF is unbelievable that band if given the chance would have blown bubblegum music away,DJ wouldn’t play their music songs like American Nights Neon Angels on the road to ruin,of course Cherry Bomb written on the spot by Joan in reference to Cherie Currie those 5 ladies deserve Rock and Roll immortality I know Joan’s in but without the Runaways putting her front and center then there is no rock star Joan Jett !!
emma duncan I saw her recently in Dallas and wish I'd seen her back in 1982. Great rendition of one of my favorites she does, and she does so many I really like.
totally bad ass..i had the i love rock n roll cassettes as a young rocker..such a awesome album..i remember the song nag was mine and my cousins favorite..good times..
+C Lisk Yep, "I Love Rock N Roll" was a great album and it's still my favorite Joan Jett era. I listened to this album all the time as a kid. There wasn't a bad song on the entire album, and it had a great rockabilly-punk sound. The band was really solid, too.
When I see a drummer with brushes in his hand I want to throw up. So I take a hit of pepto and turn on a Joan Jett video and the world slides back into place!
Well... Starting with the only tricky bit - Middle She hits a D major with an E bass (if you have a bass player he takes care of the E bass while you just hit a D chord. On your own, you can add your guitar's open E). Then it's - D, G, A, G, A x 3 followed by B for a little while

Ray Olson I listened to the studio version to see if this is them lip-syncing. It is not. Totally live.
"They say I'm demented and I never could sing." They used to say that about her when she was in The Runaways because I remember those reviews.

Es Un Placer Escuchar Y Ver A Joan Jett, Como Transmite Esa Energia, Ese Empoderamiento, Ese Talento, Gracias Por Existir Joan Jett, Te Amo!!!
I love the part where Joan tells everyone she doesn't have to please no one. I love that. That's Joan, that's the way I feel she really is f*** it
Quite possibly my fave Joan Track, and considering how epic her catalog is, that's saying something.

Nice! Great rockin' song! Joan Jett slays me.
Janis would have LOVED this.
I like hearing what she has to say. Why did you cut it out?

anyone know the chords to this song? I can't find them anywhere.
Well...
Starting with the only tricky bit -
Middle
She hits a D major with an E bass (if you have a bass player he takes care of the E bass while you just hit a D chord. On your own, you can add your guitar's open E).
Then it's - D, G, A, G, A x 3
followed by B for a little while
Intro is just a big old E chord, then....
Stop. B, A, straight into verse 1
Verse is super simple:
E, B, A, B x 2
Chorus:
E, G, A, C;
E, G, A; B. B. B, B, B, B!
I thought she was going to say “I love shoulder pads”.
