I can honestly say i very rarely ever comment on videos but this channel holds a very space place in my day to day routine i watch almost everything he puts out its just so calming and cool to watch everything come together and listen to him speak keep up the awesome work my day get a little better when i see a new video pop up and my kids are absolutely obsessed as well.

As a long time leatherworker, the only thing I might add, would be a string around one end of your front toggle so it’s not so easy to lose when you open it.

@@diycimbrer Ok, I can understand that🤗 and they are easy to carve. I would have mine full of different peppers. I’m much more of a pepper person than a salt person. I have to be careful with salt for health reasons.

My only suggestion for this kind of thing would be to use bees wax or similar on the interior of the salt/pepper containers in order to seal them up.

I totally love that idea. Maybe I will try to build it.
I do have some questions though:
It's been a year since you posted the video, so maybe you might be willing share some experiences with the pouch ;)
Have you noticed any "leather taste" in your salts an peppers?
And what about moisture? Depending on the weather it might be difficult to avoid that leather and/or spices could absorb humidity and the like🤔
Still a totally lovely idea. I like especially the way to fixate the middle part with the toggles!

@@diycimbrer "The devil is in the detail" as they say. Your tutorials are so very easy to understand. If I attempted to build without measurements and instructions it would fit either a giant or a child. lol
The legs are 75 cm 30” long and the width is about 30 cm 12” … hope this will give you an idea on how big it is 😉

Would coating the containers with warm beeswax help in stopping the spices from spilling out into the box? Or would it contaminate the spices?
It could probably work 😉👍🏻and I don’t think beeswax is poisonous … so great idea.
