Thank for this! I dislocated my thumb at the tip about 13 weeks ago & also had an avulsion fracture. The hand therapist has been great with the weekly sessions plus working on my own several times daily but progress seems have plateaued. I’ve been looking for something to help the process of getting more mobility & this is exactly what I was looking for, both instrument & technique.
I understand you are treating scar tissue at the location of your avulsion. As far as I understand with an actual trigger finger, the triggering happens at the A1 pulley beneath the MCP. That is where the tendon gets caught with a trigger finger.
Shouldn't you not massage toward the direction of distal end of the finger tips? I would think to massage only the direction prox that way you make the edema flush out rather than get built up at the finger tips.
Actually I was hoping to see true-grastoning of mid-trigger finger (as per title of this vid). True grastoning of TRIGGER-SCAR-TISSUE would be located on the PALM area (post trigger-surgery). NOT on the finger-area! I was also hoping to see how people graston their PALMS with a beveled butter-knife or spoon. The butter-knife hack is supposed to be neck-and-neck with official tools, but I see mostly talk online. They fail to offer quick/clear CLOSE-UP demo's of those hacks.

I know this is an old video so this is a long shot but I have a question for anyone who could help. After a day of scrubbing floors and windows and countertops and moving furniture, my right hand is now really stiff and slightly swollen. This is especially the case for the tendons/muscles on the top and palm of my hand between the knuckles of my index and middle finger. So much so that if I lay my hand flat on the table or hold it out flat, I can't get my index and middle finger to come together. It's been a few days now and I still am unable to get the to do so. I've looked around the Internet for advice and haven't been able to find any. So if there is anyone out there with a tip or two on how to help my stiff and swollen fingers/knuckles/hand, I'm all ears!

Graston a.k.a.appropriated Chinese Tui Na scraping techniques
That's true - this is just stolen from Tuina and renamed
How often should you do this? And duration each time and for how many weeks? Months? I have 3 broken fingers..

You want to go in both directions, and even into the forearm.
You obviously don't know . Who's the Doctor here him or you ?
@@jenny-DD Silly assumption on your part to assume I am not a doctor. Regardless, I asked the question to improve knowledge and learn.
@@jenny-DD I'm pretty sure a chiropractor is not a doctor. Different set of skills/knowledge.
