    My man, I can't tell you enough how you have completely enhanced and improved the entire way I watch, play and learn playing pool. You make practicing so much more enjoyable!! Your passion for billiards is so easily transferred to the viewer. Your ability to teach is truly a gift. And I know each lesson takes you hours and hours to create. Don't EVER think your "Labor of love" is ever lost on your followers. You're awesome bro!
    Make today a great day!
    Cheers,
    Shawn M.

    Thank you for confirming that a small amount of cue ball spin is transferred to the object ball - in this case, backspin on the cue ball causing topspin on the object ball, helping the 9-ball into the pocket. I've known plenty of people who said this didn't happen but I have proved for myself before that it does, but of course only a small percentage of spin is transferred, but that can be the difference between making the ball or not.

    I like those rail hop shots. It's a very creative way out of difficult situations (and really not expected by the most players, I think). Have never tried it, but I will find out if I can control this type of shot.

    I don't understand why putting bottom will create follow through for the double kiss shot... Confused.

  • @Rickbearcat
    @Rickbearcat 2 роки тому

    I tried the double kiss shot to make the ball in the corner pocket on a Diamond 9 footer with semi-clean balls and dirty/used cloth at least 30 times. It never went in. The table would not allow it. So, this shot is probably only possible with clean balls and fairly new cloth. You need to inform your audience of this and how the conditions you play on will affect shots. (I am an advanced player with a Fargo of 610)

    • @oliveroshea5765

      I tried on a table I have access to that has a slightly smaller cue ball. When playing the double kiss pot, it won't go. If I use the yellow to pot the smaller cue ball instead, that seems to work.

    what is the best cue to buy? i know you would say it depends of each player but what do you like most? carbon fiber? brand? 🤔

    • @nutbag
      @nutbag 2 роки тому

      Okay, but first, you tell me the best food to eat, the best woman to marry, the best state to live in, the best job to have, and the best house to buy.
      In other words, you answered your own question. Try a few out. You may be able to rent a cue at some billiard parlors. I started with a $100 McDermott. As my skills increased, I moved on.
      I will tell you the best strategy for me has been the less deflection the stick has, the more forgiving for my errors, but the less you can do with English. So it's a trade-off. So I use 2 main cues. A Meucci for when I am in tune, and a Joss when I am out of practice. Lately, the Joss has been my go-to. Much better for longer shots, I just can't get as much action with it and it is also a bit heavier.
      I am guessing you are a novice, so I suggest you start out inexpensive and work on your skills first. You can only be as good as your tools, but you need to walk before you run.
      Do not be concerned with the players with fancy cues. That great looking $500 cue may give you nightmares.
      Best of luck with your game!

  • @garybkatz

    On that 1st shot (the double kiss), perhaps adding a bit of left english to the CB would help spin the 9 ball into the pocket?

    • @Sharivari
      @Sharivari  2 роки тому +1

      I've experimented with spin but didn't notice any positive effects. It even got worse because of the inaccuracy in aiming and because I couldn't hit maximum low anymore.

    • @garybkatz
      @garybkatz 2 роки тому

      @@Sharivari I messed around with follow plus spin, but it doesn't work, at least in the setup you presented. The funny thing is, I've sunk balls with double kisses, by accident! Naturally, when I try to do it on purpose, it's hard, lol!

    • @adifloroiu4144
      @adifloroiu4144 2 роки тому +1

      if the angle is totally against you, on this shot you would actually hit harder and with enough spin to hit bottom rail first and not scratch. I used to train as a beginner with this shot but on the long side of the table where it becomes just about impossible, start with the 9 around 4-5 balls away from the further rail and move it closer to the rail with every successful shot. in my club we would call this a whip shot because you need so much spin the white actually slaps the 9 with just the spin effect, the touch is impossibly gentle the smallest fraction you can pull of without missing.

      @@gredangeo To vaguely answer your questions it depends. In 8 ball pool mobile, the white ball trajectory depends on the force you use and side spin only works after making a collision in the game as opposed to irl where the spin acts immediately.
