Thank you for your comment. We can trace the design sheet with icing clay and color it with resin. I would like to make such a work someday and make it into a video.😁
This seems like a very good project for the whole family of to teach people how to start in arts and crafts having them draw their own characters, tracing over it with a pen might help with the inking process, how to safely use the oven with thsi plastic, how to apply resin to finish a piece and then they can keep it as a charm to remember every art form requires practice and hard work

How do you keep your shrink flat? Mine is always slightly curved, they cool so fast that i don’t have much time to press it with anything heavy. Loveee your work ❤️

My cat passed away last month due to lung cancer. She was the prettiest girl in the world. 1 in a million. She was Siberian, Neva's Masquerade cat with the biggest blue eyes and cute little pink nose. I love her and miss her so much! I wish I could make something like that and wear her portrait as a necklace or a bracelet so she still would be with me.

Sanding is for the pastel to adhere well. Because pastel is a fine powder. Pastel does not adhere to the smooth surface. Sanding only the back side. The front side is drawn with a pen, so if it is sanded, it will not be beautifully finished. (Ink bleeds) If the gel medium is not applied, the resin will penetrate the pastel and the pastel will become transparent. It is very important.😊
Can you please tell me if I can use the same 0.3mm clear shrink plastic to shrink down to a 6cm circumference circle and if I can ~ what size circumference circle do I start with?
Finished size /reduction rate 0.4 = Size before baking 6cm/0.4＝15cm However, the shrinkage rate of shrimp clastics is different for vertical and horizontal. It is not a perfect circle. nelco.jp/Antique_button.pdf
A transparent sheet will shrink when baked. And it gets thicker. Since the back is colored and the front is coated with resin, it looks like a double layer. It is a single layer.☺️

Patricia Dumatrait if you are in the US look for “shrinky dinks” paper. They even have a frosted style that you dont have to sand :)
Try coloring shrink plastic on gray or tan paper instead of a white surface! It makes seeing your white powder/paint/pencil much easier

Utilice láminas de plástico con un grosor de 0,3 mm o 0,4 mm. El material es poliestireno.

UV LED resin is used, so it is cured with a nail lamp.
Sunlight also works, but it takes longer.

If the oven can keep the temperature at 320 ° F,
