The calendar has rolled to July, which, meaning Penn State Football training camp is just around the corner. Today, we preview the upcoming season by discussing Blue White Illustrated's exclusive interviews with several prominent Penn State football players. Nate Bauer and Sean Fitz spoke with quarterback Drew Allar and center Nick Dawkins this week and we let you in on those converstaions during today's BWI Live Show. We'll also take your questions in the Mailbag segment to end the show.

It was a massive week in Penn State recruiting last week and BWI Publisher, Sean Fitz, weighs in on the wins, losses and what's next in today's recruiting update. We'll discuss how Jayden Woods, Jeff Exinor and Troy Huhn all affect the team's recruiting classes in 2025 and 2026. He'll also discuss the news from Monday that one of Penn State's top receiver targets, Matthew Outten, chose Virginia Tech over the Nittany Lions. What happens next for the team's recruiting efforts at wide out?
Finally, Fitz will preview the upcoming commitments that will decide the final push for Penn State recruiting. How will Lex Cyrus' decision affect the team's outcome? He'll also preview Taz Williams, Randy Adirika, and LaVar Arrington II.

Penn State starting quarterback Drew Allar sat down with Bauer for a season preview last week and Baur joins the show to discuss his big-picture takeaways from that conversation. One topic that came up was Allar's willingness or hesitancy to run the football, which is a feature in new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki's offense. How did Allar respond to that question? Why is WR a challenge? James Franklin...recruits know his offense is in disarray/bad.....they just dont put up numbers.

It’s definitely not a good sign that the program is trying to get Drew to be a leader. What I mean by that is you either have the temperament and drive to be a leader or you don’t. I don’t think you can force a kid to be a leader.

Prediction: Franklin runs Drew about twenty times the first game. Injury week one. 😭
He better run more...maybe catch his throws..because other than a TE/RBs..they have nothing at WR.
Allar will put up numbers vs Rutgers/Indiana/Northwestern/Purdues of the conference/non conference cupcakes...but vs quality teams that play real defense...PSUs offense/Allar are always shelled. All opponents have to do is load the box with 8..force Allar to throw to WRs who cant get off the line/get open...game over...8-4.
I agree and disagree because we haven’t seen Mr Ks offense with talented ballers. I think this is going to be an Oregon type offense with the PSU defense and that is a force in college ball.
