Wow, so AWESOME to see cold-hardy Citrus growing in beautiful South Carolina! But that juicy, intense green color of the Carolina Lime he gave you a test tasting, is that sweet citrus or regular sour citrus? If it was sour, well, it didn't make you "pucker up"and make the facial grimace when one tastes something sour or piquant! I'm betting he also has sweet citrus and kumquats as well? And the Giant Blueberry "bush", more like a small tree, really HUGE! So glad to hear Stan's sharing them with the beautiful Mockingbirds, bird of a thousand voices and so beloved by King Nezahualcoyotl(Sleeping Coyote in english), known to him as Cenzontles. Thanks for sharing, 👍and greetings👋from central Mexico! 😊
Thank yiu once again for stopping by and leaving an awesome comment. It was a perfect balance of sour but not too sour and a slight sweetness. Amazing. He has a bunch of sweet oranges like satsuma mandarins and changsa mandarins, he does have some kumquat trees as well. He had so much to see that I had to.come back and film another day, almost a part 2 to this. Stan is an awesome guy and had a blast seeing all the citrus he has planted over the years
Couple generations from now there might be satsumas that'll grow up here on Lake Erie (7A). Meanwhile I'm learning to make tasty marmalade out of my trifoliates.
I have two satsumas here in north georgia (7B) that are in the ground. They are inside an unheated greenhouse and only got slight damage when the weather dropped to the single digits outside. (bought them from Stan McKenzie 10 years ago)
Might want to eat the sweet orange with the peels still attached. "Austalide K from the Fungus Penicillium rudallense" could be a good thing to Google search
Excellent tour! Nice to see the other trees Stan pointed out to you.
@TheCitrusman Stan posted a tour of his 2023 McKenzie Farms
I saw that been subscribed to him for a few year. Stan is awesome, amazing resource of information
What happened to the 10 degree tangerine? It was mentioned but not explained. Thanks

My jaw dropped at the size of that blueberry "bush" 🤯
It's unbelievable, I asked if I can come back next year and help him harvest. I didn't even know it was a blueberry until he told me
Rabbit eye blueberry plants are quite tall.
Cool Place!
It is awesome there. I had to go back and do a part 2 for this. Thanks for stopping g by
Great video. Your guest could use Sucary and reduce into sweet syrup like Mung fruit but local.
Yeah even for breeding with a really sour citrus also, make it perfectly balanced

Absolutely, we would make a really sour lemonade out of trifoliate
