PART 2: The Complete History of WWF (WWE) Bone Crunching Action Figures (1998)

- It's here!! 1998 was the year the wrestling wars were heating up -- both on the television and in toy aisles! WCW figures were made by Original San Francisco Toy Makers and WWF figures by Jakks Pacific! Over 60+ different WWF wrestlers would have an action figure at retail in 1998 in the Bone Crunching Action line, but with the birth of the Stone Cold Era, most collectors were looking to find Steve Austin!
Join FC as we look back on EVERY WWF figure release in 1998 in Chapter 2 of Bone Crunching Action History!
As a wrestling collector myself, I've stood by and watched Hasbro's WWF line soak in all the nostalgic glory, and rightly so! But its time for Bone Crunching Action to get the recognition it deserves. With our three chapter BCA series we will leave nothing uncovered!

October 15: Part 2 (1998) (that's this video!)
November 2: Part 3 (1999 to the End of BCA): • PART 3: The Complete H...
Thanksgiving 2021: MEGA BCA History (A video of all 3 chapters combined into one with some added scenes!)

These were the best action figures back in the 90s. I liked when WCW changed their bulky action figures to have moving joints.
This was the era where I got into collecting. I dove into the box sets, which were awesome for a new collector jumping in because right off the bat I could have four of the main guys I saw on TV all at once. Superstars 6 was such a good set, with that new Owen and HHH being highlights, and leading into the Superstars 7 series that remains one of my favorites. Great video!
Great stuff!! Loved all these figures growing up
I remember back in the to the mid to later part of the 70's. Mego Superheroes action figures were my all-time favorite toys back then, that is until the movie Star Wars came out. Then the entire world of action figures changed forever. Playsets, speeders, ships like the X-Wing Fighters the Tie Fighters, and even the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star were made. Crazy aliens, Taun-Tauns, Jabba the Hutt, and so many more. After the Empire Strikes Back was released, I was entering High School and action figures and "Toys" were for kids. Wrestling was always popular in our state. We had the AWA's All-Star Wrestling show. But then like everywher else the wwf became popular. During those years I missed out on a LOT of really good action figures. The DC Superpowers collections, followed by these wrestling. I eventually got back into collecting Star Wars and Marvel Legends, the Toy Biz figures, but again I missed out on a lot of really cool and unique figures. It was really great time for toy lovers/collectors and especially for kids.
I grew up with these and had alot the figures my mom and dad bought me so this brings back great memories:)
I got "no holds barred" for christmas & it was the 1st wwf/wrestling toys I ever owned.. had to purchase it 1st when I started collecting again! I recently saw Luna on ebay, didnt know it was kinda rare!
Inject this in my veins lol! I love your vids man, I would watch if they were an hour long! Thanks again for all the hard work!
Wow brother powerful video, one of the best on thie topic...Hell of an era!
insane how you have all these sets dude, amazing content, Keep it up!!
Whoa...😮...gonna go watch the third video in this series now so I can see what kinda revenge you got on your friend...🤘🏼💯✔️
Hello, just want to say awesome video, awesome content. Seeing these action figures takes me right back to 1998 watching wrestling while playing with my action figures.
Man, if you were collection back then, it looks like there were a TON of sets, with 2 or 3 figures you'd already own but would have to buy again to get the one new guy. I would've hated that. lol.
I had a few of these. These were on the way out when I got into wrestling figures as a kid. The Titan Tron figures were the main line. I had that attitude ring but it was repackaged as a Wrestlemania ring
😂😂😂 that Kane your friend had is epic af lol
I’m loving this series!
Great content I loved these figures.
amazing video!!!
Thank you very much for this video. It is very interesting.
As a child I played with the wrestling figures from Hasbo. I don't know much about the time after this.
Some of the WWF Jakks figures are really nice :)
My childhood right here. Great video!
Outstanding thank you
I remember getting that Wrestlemania 14 4-pack in 4th Grade. lol Good times.
7:16 did anyone realize the spelling error on Jimmy Snuka
Great video
so many figures. Great video
I've also made the Jim Crockett promotions/ NWA roster from 1986 until 1989 using only the BCA figure line
I certainly didn’t appreciate Slammers at the time because I didn’t like the action features but now I kinda want them all over again.
I wasn’t thrilled with them myself, but as a kid it was my only way to get Bret, so I made the most of it. Plus the slammers Faarooq could do a sick dominator haha.
I remember being so pumped for that Kane figure. Also, The Patriot was used as “masked” Kurt Angle until we got a proper TTL version of him.
the-2nd-series-of-slammers-were-one-of-the-best-overall-series-though.....FIrst-time-we-saw-Kane,DudeLove,Taka,Patriot-and-a-much-improved-HBK-figure
0:35 WOAH😲🤑🤑🤑🤑Them Action Figures are Badassery
“The tush of the figure” lol so cute 🥰
Lol… I had that Kane as well and never realized it was hard to find. My mom got it for me as a gift one day. Wish I still had it.
New collector, where can I find these? Ebay doesn't have alot :(
Used the ring catapults as ramps or background pieces on the Titan Tron stage they later put out
6:25 OMG Owen Hart looks Badassery Once Again Mate!
Nice review wwf bca 1998. More add characters update figure
I remember those Yokozunas going for 200 and up
Out of all of the WWF, WCW, and ECW, this figure line was my least favorite line at the time because they had nobody. All they kept doing or repaints and re-releases but now I do custom BCA figures and I find that they are the best to work with. So what I did was I went back and I created most of the roster from 1996 until 2000 I only make customs of those figures that they never released. I never made an Undertaker or a Stone Cold Steve Austin but I did make a Savio Vega pre-nation of domination, Jim the Anvil Neidhart, Terry Funk Dory Funk Jr the radicals Etc. Whoever they didn't make I make now.
3:51 I use to Have that HBK💔figure with his Blue Attire same as that one but in different Clothing.
Itchy for some BCAs....damnit!
DAMN IT, MICHAEL!
WM 14 HBK is so dope, so is the Best of 98 HBK.
coooool!
Stomps were awesome
True, Slammers 2 was a great set!
I remember i actually had found a Kane.. the store was charging $20 for that figure!! I begged and pleaded with my mom! I was successful and brought it home but I didn’t get another figure for about a month or two lol. At the time.. Kane was worth it!! Lol
I remember always being disappointed with the Austin head moulds as a kid and yeah, looking at these, they were ass.
This is why Stone Cold Steve Austin has like 30 figures in this line
The Rock has about 20 figures
Billy Gunn has about 10 figures
Road Dogg as about 10 figures also
I remember the Bone Crunch tag teams: Godwin, Headbangers, L0D and Blackjack.
Jakks Dropped the ball on HBK figures I’m still hurt.. yea Austin was popular at the end of 1997, but Hart and Micheals carried that company
I agree but they didn't sell merch like Austin.
I had so many of these but I COULD NOT get my hands on a Jerry Lawler. I Ross, 2 announce tables, 2 raw is war monitors but no king.
I found Kane at Kb toys still have him .
LOL So they thought Kane looked like The Undertaker under his mask? Hilarious.
it would've been great if Toybiz got the wcw license two years earlier, we could've had Vincent, Dusty, Rick Rude, Glacier, Mortis, Alex Wright, though the trouble with a huge roster is they don't get to everybody regardless of time
Also, I remember finding Kane at a Meijer back in the day, they only had duds from that series on the peg, I got suspicious and climbed up the shelves and blindly smacked my hand up on the riser and BINGO I got that Kane!
I got the taker, the British bulldog, and owen hart. Love to get a kane tho
I have that Yokozuna in white.
I want to find the Honkytonk man again
The last Bret Hart figure??Brother I have all kinds of newer Bret Hart figs.. Good Video regardless.💯
The last WWF Bret Hart figure, not the last Bret Hart figure!
I-wish-they-would-of-slotted-Chainsaw-Charlie-somewhere-else
Rippled-and-Ruthless-3-was-supposed-to-be-Rock,Owen-Hart,Chyna-and-Shamrock-I-believe
Its-sad-those-Legends-figures-didnt-take-off....Would-of-been-interesting-to-see-who-they-would-of-made...
Have you done a titan tron live series review
I cover it a little bit in part 3 of this BCA Series! But extensively, no. I will eventually! Up next is WCW Toy Biz History but its going to be a while, im still pretty early into that one
They could of given Kane eye makeup

I liked Jakks. Mattel seems so lazy by comparison.
These toys had the best playability... I lost interest when they came out with the titantron figures.
Loose joints fresh out the package👎😂
Had loads of these but they are hideous. No 2nd hand market for them either.
The fact you can still buy these
These fell off so hard in 1998. Wtf were they thinking?
This line fell off HARD by 1999. Total rush jobs.
They couldn't even get the wrestlemania 14 attire right smh
