Bonus fish completes the drum set. Those were some nice size fish. Congrats to you sir out there in the cold grinding it out with a cold. Nice video, hope you get to feeling better soon 👊🏻
That first one was a monster . And the other two were nothing to sneeze at. Definitely catching some nice fish in cold water brother. Thanks for sharing.
07:20 That's not what SHE said! 😂 I think that Drum would have gone closer to 12 lbs. IMHO. My 9 pounder was 24 1/2 long and 7 tall. Great catch either way!
I love your videos man I've been watching you for a year now I've learned a lot of my stuff from you I've probably watched all your videos and will keep watching your channel greetings from San Antonio texas
Another great video from realistic fishing. Thanks for taking the time in this cold winter weather to go out and make these awesome videos for us to enjoy watching. Have a great day!!!
That thing looks like me after the all you can eat buffet. Well done. I wish our water temps were even close to what you have. Ice is starting to come off, though.
Man the most realistic thing I ever heard on UA-cam anything in the winter is a blessing amen to that brother lol so far I only caught 1 small bass I’m in southern Illinois so our waters are still cold . Great video I need to catch up and binge some videos. My first fish last year was awesome huge American carp which I caught it on your cheap drop shot method I learned from your channel
Great winter fishing right here! Pretty sure you told me on a previous video comment that the grind is where you grow, and you were right! A hard grind all day long on the Muskegon River (in Michigan) fishing fast current with little experience led to a ton of snags and lost rigs. With a budget realistic rig I ended up catching my first ever Michigan Steelhead! Thank you for your insight once again Alex. I appreciate the support you give out to your subscribers and the wealth on knowledge you are willing to share. 🐟 On!
Those drum are fun to catch. Years ago my buddy and me sat on the river bank and caught 20 or so apiece in just a few hours. We were fishing with night crawlers on a drop shot. I am gonna try the Shad on a “realistic rig” sometime.
I've started using some cheap, cheap mono that works really well actually. Wal-Mart carries it but not with the other line, it's usually where the reels and smaller crappie lures are located and it's Mr. Crappie line, but you can get it in hi-vis, camo, or clear from 4lb to I think 12 and it's like a 1250 yard spool for $6-8. I had a drum around that size bite a Roadrunner on the 6lb and got it in fine and have even had several decent spotted gar fight on it and got them in. Awesome vid, should really start picking up if the rain can hold off enough for the clarity to improve. Just hope TVA doesn't drop the waters much around when they move up to lay.
Alex, a little slow here in Orlando, crappie bite was red hot 2-3 weeks ago! Was just informed that a tornado hit your neck of the woods. Hope all are well. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Orlando Ron
I really like that you caught Shad a while back and froze them, I will for sure do that in our creeks for chubs here in southern Indiana this year. What great catches on cheap mono once again who need the high $$ equipment to actually enjoy fishing and catching a lot of different fish. You are "THE MAN" Alex.
Was out in 29 degree weather trying local trout stream, threw spinners and power bait....skunksville. Nice fish, wonder if you had a state record brother.
@@RealisticFishing That was cool, the only Drum we got in Nj are the saltwater variety, mostly Black Drum. Do people eat them things? Or are they considered trash fish down your way?
I'm so jealous. I've never caught a drum up here in Ct. but I have caught them when I visited friends down south and they fight like tigers! Closest thing we have here is the common carp. Good job buddy.
Oh - I forgot to mention, I just learned about when crawfish spawn. When that water temp hits 50, the males come up on the rocks and start looking for the females. They make little clicking noises which is imitated by lipless crank baits, square bills, and weights bouncing off the rocks from your t-rig. Figured I’d throw it at you. I’m a long way from 50 degree water here (ponds just started thawing for the 15th time again here in Chicagoland). I’m so ready to get out on a regular basis man. 19 days till spring! (Leaned this from a former tournament/outdoor channel host Named Steve Rogers. Solid dude. Has a ton of very straightforward you tube vids out there)
Nice drum! Have you tried a shad under a bobber there yet? A guide on Lake Anna, VA who uses live bait for stripers caught a 9 and 10 pound largemouth bass last week. Would be cool if you broke your largemouth bass PB soon. This is the time of the year when the big girls bite. Tight Lines!
3 nice fish, so you caught a drum set... LOL
😅
😂
Badabing!
Ba-dum sst
That’s funny 😂😂😂😂 best comment ever 🍻🍻
I have to say...that was a PHAT fish, man. Congratulations on your catch!
Thanks Leo 🙌
Bonus fish completes the drum set. Those were some nice size fish. Congrats to you sir out there in the cold grinding it out with a cold. Nice video, hope you get to feeling better soon 👊🏻
I hope so too 👍
Beast of a fish. Old gentleman I was fishing with caught a 17 pound drum. Never saw one that big before.
They get huge!
Alex, hope you and yours are safe and not impacted by the tornadoes. My prayers are with you.
That first one was a monster . And the other two were nothing to sneeze at. Definitely catching some nice fish in cold water brother. Thanks for sharing.
I love catching the biggins!
@@RealisticFishing 👍

👍👍
07:20 That's not what SHE said! 😂
I think that Drum would have gone closer to 12 lbs. IMHO. My 9 pounder was 24 1/2 long and 7 tall. Great catch either way!

Nice set of drums play on my friend.getting off couch now to do alittle winter fishing my self. Great vid lovem
Catch any?
Your videos get me amped about fishing, thanks you for keeping it realistic!
Good brace of fish. When we're told it's too cold to fish, no one has told the fish 😀
They are still hungry 😀
Outstanding! Not one but two in one day. Keep those lines tight.
What a tank!! You got those drums figured out. Way to go!
Great stuff love that late winter when water comes up from 30s to 40s. Stuff happens.
those drum look like they fight good. that first 1 was a beauty. good job
The fishing has been slow here in NC too. Got skunked my last two times out. Nice bonus when you can get’em, nice!
What part of NC I love in New Bern
That thing looks like me after the all you can eat buffet. Well done. I wish our water temps were even close to what you have. Ice is starting to come off, though.
😅
Are you alright? Tennessee took a beating.
this video is very amazing. happy watching your channel
Thanks!
That was a huge drum. It's pretty cold here in northern WV at 24° so I didn't go fishing today. I'll be out there soon though.
Hopefully really soon
Now THAT proves you don’t need a boat and complex rigs to catch some MONSTERS! 😱
You have been absolutely slaying the big drum lately!
Dang. I go out a reservoir in eastern Colorado during the summer and catch drum, but these are 3x bigger than my best. Awesome.
They can get big! My largest is a 28 incher
Awesome vid Alex. Reminds me of my TN tour. Cant wait to come down again next month. 🤙🤙🎣🐟🐷🐷
Might catch a giant!
Awesome catch man! That was a big Drum. Take care and tight lines!!
I LOVE THAT YOU TAKE WATER TEMPS
If I could catch fish like that in my backyard why go to saltwater?
Grinding through the winter near home, because thats realistic 👍
Couple of freaky big drums there my man!
Keep up the great work,Alex!
Bulbous!
Good god that was some huge drum

Super Duper catch congratulations my friend
Oh yeah!
No skunk for me today on my first saltwater Pier fishing. But also not as big as your fishes! Nicely done.
Fish on Indeed.... What a nice toad of a fish. That had to be fun. So cool. Ten pound fish... great stuff.
Nice fish, you make me feel like a chump cuz I didn't feel like dealing with the cold weather to go fishing today.
The fish are waiting for you
3.5 lb. Is my best drum. Great video
Good god man! That fish is HUGH. Great fishing. Now if we can get close captioning back.
I don’t even start watching the video before I’ve clicked the thumbs up 👍🏻. I already know it will be solid!
👍

Never seen a drum that big before nice catch

2 awesome big fish for and awesome guy. They were beasts. Love it.
👍👍
Those were Beasts!!! You set the bar high already in 2020 with those two hogs!
Oh yeah!
Alex you catch the drum queen. Then her husband and their chlld. Great day fishing. I need to try the Realistic rig too.
Caught the whole family!

love catching drums , they fight real hard
pull like trucks!

Thats some impressive fishing line to bring those monsters in. Nice job man.
$1.97 Walmart line Zebco Omniflex 12 lb test
That's AWESOME! I wish I had them by me.
Congratulations Alex this are great fishing videos
Wow!! That's a beauty. Maybe grab some neocitron on the way home. Your like a realistic commando.
💪
Duuuude!!!! That was a beast!!!! Awesome catch Alex!!!
Oh yeaaah!
Way to go love hearing them pull drag
That was massive. Great catch!!
Great video my friend 👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣🙏🙏🙏
Was out in 29 degree weather trying local trout stream, threw spinners and power bait....skunksville. Nice fish, wonder if you had a state record brother.
I caught one 2 inches bigger 👍
@@RealisticFishing That was cool, the only Drum we got in Nj are the saltwater variety, mostly Black Drum. Do people eat them things? Or are they considered trash fish down your way?
Nice job on the drum. I still need my first!
Nice Slab, sure looked like it had some shoulders and a nice fight.
I'm so jealous. I've never caught a drum up here in Ct. but I have caught them when I visited friends down south and they fight like tigers! Closest thing we have here is the common carp. Good job buddy.
Thanks for watching 👍
46 degrees is tee shirt weather here in Wisconsin this time of year.
Ya same here in Minnesota
My cousin said that but when we met in oregon and it was 44 degrees he was cold haha
I know, right! Gonna be right up there on 3/1. Going out to try my luck on some panfish!
It's long sleeve and constantly wet in WA. Wet shoes are doing me in with the friggin wind.
Everyone knows Oregon is just North California. Makes sense.

55 is when they craws come out around here 😉
Realistic Fishing yeah I just learned that. Def need to keep track of that myself. Think I need to invest in one of those thermometers u have.
River monsters!! 🤓👍🏽🎣🐟
You have a nice lil honey hole for those drum it seems like bro ! Super underrated fish, they get huge!
nice to see u catching those nice fresh water redfish that's realistic.
Nice drum, that's a hoss!
Looked like fun! Bonus fishing outro best outro! Nice!
Bonus FIsh!
Wow! Those were some monsters!!! And be glad you had a cold because I'm sure your hands were smelling just terrible after handling those nasty boys
😅
You working those drums. Bounus fish are the best .
Drum can be awesome hell of a fight too. Congrats
Any day fishing is good day fishing. But catching a monster fish makes it better.
Here in New Hampshire we don't have drum. They look fun!
This water is only 3 ft deep or so, the bobber would have to be set really shallow.
@@RealisticFishing I was just thinking it may keep it away from the drum, but they are all fun to catch!
The drums were awesome
Congrats on the amazing catches ..great video!
Ooo another one peeling drag for sure
Absolute monsters. Great video Alex 👍
Great video Alex! Your the Drum king! Keep up the great work! 👍
Biggins!
Those were some tanks! Awesome catches!
