another switch option anyone trying to emulate a build like this could try out are akko cs rose red switches, theyre fairly smooth (my batch was around the same feel as gat yellows) and are pink so they will match the keycap set, they are also ridiculously cheap coming in at about 30c a switch (abt the same as the feker milky greens). hope this helped anyone trying to decide on what switch to use for their budget build!

I have $200 invested into a GK61 optical. Foam under the board - Krytox 205 g0 lubed Gateron optical blacks - Zeal gold plated stabs - Razer shine through PBT caps. The end result is incredible. Worth every penny. My fav. part of the board has to be the Zeal plate mound stabs. So crisp and precise even without lube, but mine are lubed with a bit with Krytox 205 g0. Now all other stabs pale in comparison for me.

I have this board actually. It, some Gateron blacks, and Matrix Keycaps were my Christmas present. It has me hooked on the hobby. I actually took the day to work on the stabs. Trust me, these stabs are pretty bad if you leave them factory. I clipped, and band aid modded them, and they are LOADS better. Aside from the 2 stab housings that have broken on me. Good thing the split space bar comes with 2 extra sets. I'm gonna say, it's not bad, but the NK61 might be (probably is actually) the better choice.

You know what? About 2 years ago I bought a keyboard Akko 3087 World Tour with shipping for about 60 bucks. Keyboard for the price of it's keycaps - how!?!?

3 months later and there are probably 20 to 30 bootleg sets always available on bg and Ali. Its obvious, but as long as original sets are as expensive as they are, fake ones will become more and more common. It might be wise for designers to occasionally do cheaper quality sets along with the standard gmk/epbt sets. This way, there would be no reason for bootleggers to even bother. Designer clothes companies do this all the time and make “tiers” of products to expand their accessibility!

For a hobby as useless as keyboards to have such expensive prices makes no sense, hence they should make them cheaper if they want any sales.
