Hi! Tea enthusiast here. I remember visiting Teavana as a teenager. They had some pretty nice teas, and my favorite was a strawberry oolong tea. I was pretty sad when I learned that the store closed down and I still miss it
fun fact actually - target is huge whilst kmart is dead in America BUTTTT its the complete opposite here in Australia. Target is basically non existent whilst Kmart is EVERYWHERE
Canadian here - zellers was dope. It had a restaurant in the back that was like a 50s style diner and I remember as a kid my grandma would always bring me back to school shopping at zellers and we’d have lunch as well.
I remember the diner too! There's a picture of my little brother crying in Santa's lap as a baby there. I wish they still had the diner, ours is a Canadian tire now
Actually broke my heart stepping into fry’s electronics for the last time knowing it wouldn’t happen again. Always loved the designs and architecture they had for their Phoenix locations.
I'm Canadian and my local mall had a Zellers. It was kinda like the Canadian version of 90s/2000s Target, but ours had a little diner inside it near the entrance. When Target bought them, they all turned into Targets for about 2 years until Target pulled out of Canada. My town's is now a Canadian tire. Zellers tried to come back recently but it's more like a few little displays in the Hudson's Bay stores (which is like Canadian Sears lol)
Frys was so cool, i only ever got to go once but it was like a radio shack on steroids. you could actually buy components for working on electronics unlike the radioshack near me which was basically a phone store with some extra stuff in the back.
BRO no way i remember teavana it opened in a mall I used to go to as a kid I went there a handful of times because I like tea it was pretty cool from what I remember I was sad as hell when the store closed tho but I never knew it was a whole business I used to only think it was just that one in my mall
I feel like a majority of the American population was heartbroken when Toys R Us shut down. While it's a good thing that Macy's kept TRU's flame, their version of it just isn't the same as the standalone stores.
my guy is shocked by encountering one of the most iconic historical names in lazarus also how did you miss that part of why k-mart (and sears) went under is that the dying k-mart bought sears. which then proceeded to also die and never make that money back
hastings was the hype back then yo -like blockbuster, gamestop, and books-a-million on crack - streaming also killed it, i miss that place - also as an american tea fan i have never heard of teavana.
Quality content dude! Thank you for taking me here algorithm.
