@@iPayneswrld gears is a great game but I don’t think it cements itself as fundamental of competitive online arena shooters as Halo does. Halo 3 is just super polished with tons more strategy, map control, teamwork, weapon balance, etc.
The good old days man, when Halo dominated the MLG scene. Such a great game series up until Halo Reach released.
Staying up late and grinding that level 45....everything on the line. just one more win...49-50...no level up...what a feeling

I don't really care to get on and play it, as long as i got some friends to play it with. But there is a lot of things about the game that frustrate a lot of people. I'm not even a MLG player, but I can totally see why they hate on the game.

@jake23211. Yes it was Heinz and just recently they made another switch. Heinz is aso no longer with str8. Its tsquared, chig, soldier187, and ghostayame. Be sure to check out the newest mlg tournament. Mlg raleigh

MLG has definitely come a long way from the halo 2 days.
Used to play for several hours a day, now just have fun occasionally with halo 3, but can still appreciate the subtleties of halo's game strategy. Really great.

@BLUE5294 actually Str8 Rippin Got signed to a 1 million dollar contract, which means each one of them got about 200,000 k. The other 200,000 k probaly goes to the maneger, traveling fees, etc.
2021 here. Still playing mcc. Got a whole 4 man squad I play with almost every day and we still like to try like this. All of us are approaching 30

fair enough, although as a side note i didnt find the graphics in reach to be much of an improvement. biggest difference for me that i didn't like was the speed of the game; yes there's sprinting but i felt like it added a whole new mechanic to the game that really wasnt needed (for example knowing when not to sprint if theres an enemy nearby cuz it fucks up your aim, not to mention people hear you breathing for miles) also a big neg for me was the aiming feel, particularly with the sniper

i like how when i play i just know people movements so i can grenade spam and hold areas with the BR im surprised to see pros not really accounting for that and staying on one side of the map I always try to rotate around especially on Pit

@UltimateGuy2000 basically in halo its your ability to out maneuver, map knowledge, your ability to work with a team, and your ability put shots where they count (CoD 2+4 were the only good CoDs) MW2 requires no skill what so ever, the 2-3 shot kill with automatic weapons lowers the skill gap to almost nothing. also the shotguns and high kill streaks basically tempt kids to camp to get said kill streaks and with that said, anyone who can sit in a corner with a shotgun can go positive in MW2...

I actually don't mind the hit markers. I wouldn't really care if they got rid of them for guns, but I definitely can appreciate grenade hit markers.
