@@garycousino4016 Mrs. Teresa was my elementary substitute teacher for years I've known her my whole life this is my hometown. Me, my sister and my brother grew up here my mom was born and raised here and to answer your question about Mr hicks yes she married 1 of his sons. As a little girl I swam in the original hot springs in the early 80's before what people see nowadays.

@@kellettmargaret7 First time I came up there to paddle the river was 78 or 79. Most of the buildings in town were vacant. Used to camp at Rocky Bluff campground. Must had been around 1990 we came across the bridge and saw a piece of plywood propped up against a tree that said campground. One of Mr Hicks sons was in the process of removing junk cars from back behind the gas station. Had maybe half a dozen camp sites cleared. We stayed there instead of Rocky Bluff and hired Genes son to run shuttle for us. That went on for several years. Sometimes we would have 20+ folks in our group staying there. Hot Springs really took off after the campground .
