This model was $2,000.00 (US Dollars) when it first came out ( 2014?) and is still being sold for $1,500.00 in NYC. I've been trying to correct some issues with my AX100 for some time. A great example is your shot at 7:45. The trees and shrubs are bland green. The water is bland greyish. My lake shots are identical during this type of lighting. The ND filter settings at the front don't make much difference. When I shoot the same scene additionally with my old GoPro, the same scene is rich in color - greens are alive. Orange and reds in foliage stand out. The water is crisp bluish. Your shots in the forest scenes are excellent. Any thoughts on corrections that might improve the shot ?
It looks laggy when your recording in 4k and moving the camera slowly as evidence in this video. It does have HDR and tri-luminos colour technology though which is great. Maybe stick to 1080p 60fps high bit rate, that way my eyes won't cringe. But good video. Sad though it's 2019 and this camcorder has a much larger sensor than those used on smartphones yet it looks like it can't shoot 4k 60fps smoothly.
Guys, this one VS the Canon Vixia HF G50 UHD 4K... My priority is low light and manual controls, especially IRIS... They both seem to produce equally good quality picture
You might need a 4k codec. Try downloading VLC Media Player and see if that works. If it don't the graphics card in your laptop may not support a 4k codec. I have a laptop with Nvidia 630M and it won't play them but my other laptops with more recent GPUs are fine.
@@sang3Eta From all you typed it doesn't appear to be user friendly. It's more of a pain in the ass to the average user who only has basic to intermediate computer knowledge. Codec, VLC, GPU, this PU, that PU, upload this, download that... people just want to plug, (perhaps click one or two things) and play (or upload to a file). They don't need all the tech nerdish "we are smarter than you" complicated bowshit from these companies!
@@n123v That's due to the sensor. It supposedly saves battery power, as millions of schmucks like Juan below wanted instead of a true CCD sensor. People like him don't know what they're buying. Sony could sell him a turd in a box so long as CMOS was onboard.
