He seems like such a polite and thoughtful man. Its amazing how different his zeitgeist is compared to how he talks about his profession. Its incredible to think how differently he would be revered if he didnt screw it all up on that stage

This was adorable!!!! His best advice: keep watching comedies! Watch Jacques Tati! (Of course he likes Jacques Tati! How could I miss that connection??) And great advice at the end, about developing three minutes if you want try comedy out. I've watched a million interviews with him since the early 90s, this is one of the best, he used to be super reticent and he is so warm and relaxed here. The kids asked some great questions! The stats guy was great, too!

This is one of the best comments we've received in our 5 years and nearly 100 interviews. Thank so much and I will pass on your comment to his publicist and to Chris Ford, who provided the super cool stats.

Every actor has a method. You'd have one too, who are you kidding? Hey Kathleen, cry right now. Now laugh as if you just heard a joke. (see what I mean?)

5:46 Maybe he "sounds like a method actor" because he gets asked questions like "describe your process", ever think of that?

Finished the interview. I don't think you know what a "method actor" sounds like. They usually start from the inside out, not the outside in, which is what he does. From what I saw, he sounded like a comedy guy, giving advice about comedy. Well.....been nice tramping all over that one line comment! lol.
