    When I was nine my parents convinced our library to waive their rule against kids perusing or checking out books from the adult sections. The librarians were delighted to make an exception. The librarians were extremely helpful. They taught me the Dewey decimal system, how to use the card catalogue, how to use bibliographies to find related books of interest, all kinds of good stuff. The custodian taught me how to sweep and dust unobtrusively and how to do random handyman repairs. I became somewhat of a mascot. I shelved returned books, reshelved misplaced books, helped people use the card catalog and find books, retyped worn or damaged catalogue cards, and occasionally ran errands. I cannot thank my parents, the librarians, and the custodian enough. A lot of who I am today was formed by their influences and the thousands of books I read as a result.

    This was adorable!!!! His best advice: keep watching comedies! Watch Jacques Tati! (Of course he likes Jacques Tati! How could I miss that connection??) And great advice at the end, about developing three minutes if you want try comedy out. I've watched a million interviews with him since the early 90s, this is one of the best, he used to be super reticent and he is so warm and relaxed here. The kids asked some great questions! The stats guy was great, too!

      This is one of the best comments we've received in our 5 years and nearly 100 interviews. Thank so much and I will pass on your comment to his publicist and to Chris Ford, who provided the super cool stats.

      Finished the interview. I don't think you know what a "method actor" sounds like. They usually start from the inside out, not the outside in, which is what he does. From what I saw, he sounded like a comedy guy, giving advice about comedy. Well.....been nice tramping all over that one line comment! lol.

    "I just was wondering if you had any idea how much joy you and your shows have brought to the world. Because we did the math and we've been studying statistics right in middle years, and so we took the average viewership of every year of Seinfeld and we multiply it by the number of episodes. So there's 180 episodes and just under 5 billion viewers, which meant about 150 billion minutes, or 2.5 billion hour or 103 continuous. 103 million continuous days. And that would work out to 282,000 years of joy, of laughter, of fun, or 3500 lifetimes. Isn't that something? I'm overwhelmed. I'm so glad I'm a part of that. Isn't it, indeed, a heck of a lot of joy to spread around the world. So thank you."

    I agree that people should look to the science on climate change. I don't agree with any of the decisions being made and I do not agree that we should be giving China a free pass while our economy goes down the toilet. Climate change is a sensitive topic and it would be best to read the science and not the politics.

    He shouldn't worry about how big his footprint is. He should be concerned about the false info. he is being fed and seek out the real experts who are not on the govt. payroll. Industrialization has not been around for 300 years. We are moving away from an interglacial period of about 12,000 years ago, so the climate is naturally warming. Soon the Earth will be headed back into an interglacial period, and there is nothing we can do to stop the Earth nor the Cosmos !

      You would welcome your colonizers?

    • @shaigrin9772
      @shaigrin9772 5 місяців тому

      @@sef0007 that's funny, there were jews in the lands throughout history, there are thousands of artifacts that indicate Jewish presence throughout the millennia, so it's was not colonization only a return to the homeland. When the partitioning happened it was done while separating lands that had already had jews who lived there or bought lands from the rules of those lands (Ottoman and Brits). Also a reminded that half the jews that came to the lands did so after being ethically cleansed from the wonderful Arab nations around the world. Also the partitioning did not require the removal of Arabs from lands under the nation of Israel, which is why 2 million Arabs Christians and Muslims currently live there as equals to the Jews. I love how you idiots say "well they can return where they came from" as though the Jews that were persecuted, murdered, and exiled from every single Arab nation can return to their former homes. Why don't you say the same to the immigrants in Europe from the various Arab nations? Becuase they would be killed? What the hell do you think would happen to the Jews that would be send back to nations they were forced to flee.
