I Painted The Badges Gloss Black On The Audi SQ5 | They Look Great

  • In this video I decided to delete the chrome on the SQ5 badges and paint them gloss black. The process is simple, but very involved, I cover the steps of removing, sanding, taping and painting the badges. Let me know in the comments down below if you think I did a great job.
    I used the following tools:
    Heat gun
    Sandpaper 500 Grit
    Double sided tape
    Masking tape
    Panel removal kit
    Razor knife (to trim the tape)
    Paint: Rust-Oleum 2x Painters Touch

      Thank you, the front is still OEM. The plan is to maybe change the whole grille in future, hopefully it will come with a black badge to complete the look

    Looks good. Have you ever tried muriatic acid on chrome. It turns it black. No need for paint. Could probably do it right on the car.
