When I was in elementary school, I feel like I had selective mutism. I wasn't diagnosed, but as soon as I left the house I wouldn't say one word to anyone. I used to think.. Ok, after lunch I'll have more energy to talk, I just need to eat. It didn't help, but I was so young I think I was trying to figure it out. I felt like I was so different from everyone else and felt so alone. In junior high school, I met a friend that I felt comfortable with and opened up with her, but around everyone else I wouldn't say much. In high school she was upset with me, so I spent half of the years in high school alone, wondering the campus, during lunch. The only one I started to talk to was the security guard. He was a nice guy. It's so cool that you got to direct a movie! Something I want to do is edit films or cake decorating. With the editing part, I edit my videos, that's a start.. So I'm happy about that. Cake decorating is something I'm working on right now, starting from the basics.
I'm so happy you directed a flim. I know it would be good. it could have been Beyonce altar ego that came out lol. SA has deterred me from many things. I learning to regain back my life in baby steps. thano you for the video. it was helpful and relatable to watch.
I'm so happy I found your Channel. I'm a senior in high school. I have 0 experience in making short films or movies because I never had things to make one like a camera and a laptop to edit. I really want to direct and film movies but I don't know where to start? I don't know if I should go to college and study it. I know these type of things take time but it's something I see myself doing forever and nothing else. It's the only thing I have a passion for basically and I never met someone who likes films like I do or wants to make one and I feel like we're very alike! Anyways if you think I should go to college what colleges would you recommend ? I've been looking and looking and all I found was nyu but I really doubt I would get in with my gpa.
bido keila Maybe instead of a normal college you can look into film schools, many of them have 1 and 2 year programs. Or you can take film classes at your local community college, that's what I did. Then I moved to LA... I would just keep researching the paths your favorite filmmakers took.. not everyone goes to film school. I think the best way to learn/grow as a filmmaker is to just start making movies even if just for fun at first. :)
I have selective mutism and I started middle school today! I'll be honest I was nervous and stressed. I don't have any friends in my classes:( I wish I did tho. And I feel weird when I need to talk and someone says she doesn't talk it makes me feel alone I just wish I didn't have to deal with this I wish I could talk when I want to and it's like no one really understands what am going threw and the stress and anxiety it gives me.
