👍👍.. that looks to be a RGT IVECO/ Cummins...I had an RGT QSB out of our komatsu hoe this winter...that one had a wear sleeve and lip seal type... don't remember how I pressed it in there.i think with studs/ nuts, some spacer and the damper some how.. can't remember, was definitely not as difficult as u had to deal with as I had the engine out to roll bearings..I replaced with an OEM,but I think I seen your unitized part somewhere on line as an option ..but anyway 👍👍👊
Check out Snap On S6129 seal remover. Perhaps some SilGlide on the install? Maybe a plate with crank bolt pattern and pull seal in. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for watching Seal remover could be handy but as far as instal for this seal I don’t do enough of them to justify any fancy tooling for this particular engine.
They are nice for not marking the crankshaft. But a lip seal/wear sleeve also fixes that. Maybe a way for dealers to ensure they do the work and they use their tools
Thank you for the video!
I learned something new today!
That’s good
Thanks for watching

👍. I’m not sure that unitized seals aren’t a solution to a problem that didn’t exist. Traditional seals seemed to work well for years.
