- It's the final day of Sema Week Powered by Nissan and we've concocted a matchup of cars that only a child would dream of! Jessi has the incredible Nissan 370Z Nismo. The keys to a mint 1970 Datsun 240z with an RB26 are in the hands of Finnegan. Sabounchi sweet talked his way into an 1100hp ethanol Nissan GTR. And Fred? He is a wild card and no one has any idea what crazy truck he will arrive in. It's a 1/4 drag race the likes of which have never been seen. Will the Roadkill spirit beat out the tuner world? Will they fall to pieces while the highly engineered 370Z rockets past them? Or will Fred bring something so audacious that his asphalt loving co-hosts will be left in the dust?
2015 SEMA Week Powered by Nissan begins on Monday, November 30 on the Motor Trend Channel, with a whole week of videos dedicated to bringing you an exclusive inside look at SEMA, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.
SEMA Week Powered by Nissan culminates on Friday December 4th with a War of the Worlds grudge match. Each host will leave SEMA and travel to an airstrip in the California desert with a hand picked vehicle from their respective market which they will line up for one epic head-to-head drag race for ultimate bragging rights!

Thanks for watching everyone! To answer all of your questions. We specifically didn't launch the GT-R because we didn't want to stress the transmission. Roy from Narvaez racing was nice enough to lend us his car and I didn't want to be the one to break it. Plus, I figured, why not give these other guys a shot by hanging back at the start for a bit. ;)

+sage sokol uhh, NO. the gtr is probably running ~45psi on two massive turbos. if you "turn up the boost" on the rb26, up to the maximum of ~14psi, you would be getting 400whp best case scenario. that gtr is probably capable of mid 8s in the quarter mile and almost 200mph in the half mile...i would still take the 240z though :)

Gordon MacSwain, check out the video made a couple years before this when he put it up against a twin turbo 370Z. He built the car himself at home, it's miles cooler than the Nismo Z and GTR, but maybe only 1 mile cooler than that Trophy Truck.

this video is perfect evidence of my theory that every true car nerd needs at least 4-6 cars. 1. You have to have some kind of truck. 2. You ha e to have some kind of off road toy. 3. A nice daily that you don't spend extra money on but still enjoy driving it. 4. A straight up track/drift car that you can abuse and drive balls to the wall only. 5. Some kind of really clean classic or tuner car that gets driven the least but is saved for beautiful weather days or special events.

+snakerb yeah an off road motorcycle for green laning, a tourer for long trips, a sports with a turbo and long swing arm for racing, a daily like a Honda hornet that you don't need to worry if it's stolen and maybe a scooter with a top box for short easy trips to the shops

Fred is right, next time it needs to be an offroad challenge. Here's an idea: you're all given 2k or so & gotta build your own homemade trophy truck to the best of your ability. Then race it against each other out in whatever desert terrain Fred picks. Everyone please thumbs this up so they'll do it, could be funny as fuck!
