Thanks! It's a lot of getting used to the game itself and how the ship feels to control. I do tend to get into some sort of mojo when playing and just do... it? Weird, but *shrug*
@@martysmith3220 for me its more the mobility that makes it. so even if it did not actually have mech models, the way they move makes me think about mech anime
Overloaded at 1:18 gave me a heart attack. Excelsior has two modes. Fast, and Die. For the true Excelsior experience, disable the slow-mo during phase. If you can play it like that I'll report you to the AI inspection team
Generally, missiles with low-ish damage per hit and deep ammo pools work best, unless you've got Antimatter SRMs (but that needs beating Tesseracts, and i am not doing that) - it's mostly about not getting too much flux at once. Harder to fuck up that way :)
@@avanitia It's poorly advised to try and face off Omega ships with conventional means. You want to have a bunch of destroyers/frigates and one _very_ well armed Conquest with dual Mjolnirs. Any more than a single capital will make the Tesseract AI 10x more dangerous and confuse your smaller AI ships. Another thing to note: Tesseracts are *_very_* weak to sabots. Especially when spammed.
@@atomic_bomba To be fair, most things hate being saboted. I know how to beat tesseracts up, it is just that it requires a specific fleet / fleet large enough, and by that point I tend to lose interest in a run. Just my way of playing the game really.
Excelsior is from Ship/Weapons Pack, the Flux Shunt Cannon is built-in on Excelsior. I don't really remember entire modlist when I recorded that, but I can definitely see stuff from Diable, Tahlan Shipworks, Magellan Protectorate, Seeker and Iron Shell. There definitely were more mods in the save, I just don't remember them all.
The enemy commander be like "It's the F*cking Main CHARACTER !!! WE ARE DOOM !!!"
That applies for every fight player is in after certain point in a run. You just kill everything in a fight. No survivors.
Watching people play these flying juggling acts will always fascinate me. Nice video!
Thanks!

@@avanitia regardless, it's certainly fun to watch. The music definitely helps too 😁

how it feels to chew 5 gum
[also I now want to grab the diable mod to punish them. thanks!]
Chewing 5 gum while listening to monotone music, so your brain goes full autopilot. After battle is done, you wake up.
@@avanitia dang. I wanna write more video game music
Based music choice.

I feel like I'm watching Touhou
That is an apt comparison. It can be harder with different enemy setup (say a lot of beams :P)
So, this thing gains phase coil charge by sending objects into the shadow realm? Neat.
Using annihilators for phase shunt. Very clever.

What's the mods? I know diable, but never seen excelsior or the flux shunt cannon

@@avanitia gotcha thnx a bunch
Wait somehow i got the ones that cant phase?
You need flux to use the phase cloak in first place.
