A brilliant black comedy with an amazing twist at the very end. From the glitz and glam of Las Vegas to a slow motion take of Blackpool's kiss-me-quick seaside entertainment.

Agreed. A wonderful film that nobody saw.
But those few of us who did-lucky us!

Thank you so. much. for posting this. This scene is such a glorious tribute to the absurdity, beauty, and pain of comedy. And, yes, the song is a brilliant accompaniment.

The title is "La Queue de Torture". I'm pretty sure it means "torture" and not "turtle". Also, my name is spelt Chelsom. Other than that I'm grateful for your comments! Thank you!

Got a bit more time now I'm back from an obviously much needed trip to the opticians. Uncanny that a simple missing 'r' should produce a search result naming an actual bayou in Nathan Abshire's neck of the woods. I google-translated the proper spelling and it comes out "the tail of torture" which is a bit difficult to comprehend in English. I was expecting something like "a tortuous route" but no "tail" (not "tale") it is. Once again, thanks for A: The horses moth information, and B: The film. It's been in equal first place with all my favourite movies since I first saw it.

Turns out the title (as listed on various track listings) may either be wrong, or a humorous take on the original. The song is definitely named after the bayou when played and sung by other Bayun musicians. It might take some digging to see if the spelling change was deliberate or erroneous. If I find a definitive explanation, I'll edit the description again.

I think he's quite right about the turtle, but obviously not about your name. 😅 If you are the real Peter Chelsom, I want to tell you that I love this film very much. You've managed a (sadly unrecognized) masterpiece. ❤

Amended, thanks. Track listings do say "Torture".

@@mirkoeinhorn09 I checked track listings and "torture" it is. Just a super-massive coincidence that there's a bayou called "Queue de Tortue". Such a big coincidence that I wonder if the song is an oblique reference to it, like the bayou is "torture" to navigate or something? Either way, corrected now.

You only have to enter the title here on UA-cam to realize that it is undoubtedly Nathan Abshire's version of the Bayun classic "Queue de Tortue". So the name in the track listing is either a mistake or a joke. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. 😅

@@mirkoeinhorn09 Good call. Yes. I'm thinking me and Peter have both read mis-spellings of the title. I'm going to re-insert the reference to the bayou. Thanks.
