I'm sure whatever you charged him was half of what a dealership would have. I'm a small business owner as well I work on cars. Had a customer last week was just as stupid. People don't appreciate what mechanics do and try to make you feel bad to give them a discount. Good mechanics are as hard to find as good customers are.

You know what’s funny though!? I used to have this all the time when I was charging less. Now I charge labour out at more than dealership price. $180 an hour and $220 an hour for diagnosing, had less clients complaining, cause if you have a good shop you need to charge what your worth so people know you’re good!🤩

At first I couldn’t tell if Big Bro was saying some of the things he said on purpose or by because he just didn’t know any better. Sometimes people say very confusing stuff like that to try to trip you up so they can take advantage of you. Like when he said he had to Uber for a week and not go to his normal job. That just dosent make any sense at all! Why not just Uber full time if you make more $ doing that. And skipping rent to pay to get his bike fixed makes zero sense. This man has definitely drank too much lemonade. This man should have just asked you to hold the bike for a few weeks until he saved up the cash to pay you. I just started my own business and was running low on cash. Guess what? There was a ride out that I didn’t go to and a four wheeler sitting in my garage in pieces until I can get my bank account back up to where I can afford it. It was very very hard for me to miss that ride. But I did the responsible thing. Big Bro wants everything and does not want to cut anything out. That was crazy to me.
