Actually the B58 in my opinion is a 2JZ that evolves and adapts the new electronics, but because of that and the new block head design makes the sound not exactly the same as the 2JZ, but it can be overcome by using a custom designed exhaust manifold, increased rpm, and some other tunings maybe it can have a sound that is even the same as the 2JZ

Drifting needs something thats not going to give him issues. And he doesnt have a big team. Not saying the b58 is unreliable but his 2jz set up has been working for him and they have the parts etc. Its a known platform for him
