Dunno if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last few months xD
THANK YOU! This is the version I grew up listening to, and after searching for awhile I was starting to think it was a fever dream or something. This ending is the way I hear it in my head any time I listen to this song, SO GOOD.
No one else notices that the percussions are much more pronounced in this version? I think it's pretty damn different, plus the xylophone replaces the keyboard during the bridge and yeah his voice inflection differs as well.
this is BY FAR the BEST version. So much more emotion in the vocals 3:24 on, the other "regular version" loses all that. Highlight lyric I always notice is "Here you me MY FRIIIIIIIENDSSSS."
Phil Brandau I heard the regular version of this song today, immediately had to come find this version because you are absolutely correct - this version is much more raw, emotional, and better. I agree with you entirely. The only part I miss is the female vocals, those add a really great element in the album version imo.
I want you all to know that the pain you feel and know that God understands loss. And i want you all to know come to christ when it hurts when u been worried and when u miss someone come to church if it ever feels like its calling you to come.
This version of Hear You Me, My Sundown and the demo version of Sweetness (not the one with the acoustic guitar part) are so much better than the final Bleed American versions. He sings with more power and emotion on both and the songs just sound more genuine. As much as I love Bleed American, I can't stand to listen to the album versions of Hear You Me and Sweetness simply because I know these superior versions exist. When I bought the album digitally, I deleted the album versions of both songs just so I could throw in these demo versions.
How can i listen to this version in the past year and i have known lately if this version isn't the originial one. When i played this song again in spotify i feel so unsatisfying with the "my frieeeeeeend" part. That was sad :(
His intonation is slightly different in some places and his spacing of words in some places is different too. Also the instrumentals may be subtly different. And yeah that last part.
I prefer this version but it depends what kind of music you like. For me, it's the imperfections that make me like this version more. The album version is a professional, well-rounded recording but it just lacks the raw energy that this version has. The part at 3:20 til the end takes the song to another gear that the album version never hits for me.
Been looking for this version for 14 years. The ending the best.
100%
Agreed. Took me forever to find this
Best version ever!
Is the best version bro
This version is way better, and so underrated.
In this 'alternate' version, at the very end you can hear him belting grittily- almost screaming- something he doesn't do in the 'original'. (:
This is the version I got from limewire years ago. Lol
Hahaha same... good ol' Limewire days.
Yess best version was so sad the cd had a different version of this and sweetness
Yup!

Same exact thing for me; I thought I was going crazy
Omg me too! I thought i was just imagining it 😮😅

Best version. So much more intense.

For what it's worth, this isn't actually an alternate version. It was part of their Bleed American demo.
Is the demo just not on any streaming platform?

In my opinion, he sounds sadder in this version. Or at least more *emotional*.
I like this version much better

This is definitely the better version. So much more emotional
screaming at the end is just epic
this version is so much better in my opinion

Why is this version not on Spotify or iTunes?!
Thanks!
Glockenspiel !!! no Piano , amazing !!!
Why isn’t this song on Apple Music? This is definitely the better version.
Still the better version. More emotional.
how is it alternate?
like a demo
Am I the only one in here who doesn't like this version?
Why do people like this version? I mean it’s decent but the album version is better by a long shot
