If you're alone, it can benefit to loosen the track more. In this case, leave the idler on and unbolt and remove the rear roller. This will allow you to release additional track tension, after which one person can remove the track. If you do this, you don't need to remove the idler, just the one roller instead. Note that sometimes it can be difficult to get the idler to pop up and out like it did in this video, but the rollers will always drop down and out of the way.
@@easyeddystrees I just helped my contractor get a track back on his fairly new MT-100 and I used a Harbor Freight 1-7/16" socket, which might run big. It was kind of snug (a little tight getting it off); I didn't try an 1-1/2". I suspect it is actually a 38mm, since I had to use a 15mm socket on the idler wheel bolts. The locking plate bolt is probably 14mm - I used 9/16" (14.29mm).

@@marcoa2222 It comes in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. I'm using a 1/2. But the impacting one is bulkier and costs probably $100 more. I don't know if the right angle impact would fit in that space. You have to run a larger battery on the ratchet to turn this bolt because it's a pretty big bolt with some extra resistance. I can't find any good spots to lubricate the threads. If I find that I'll show it in another video.
You do not adjust the parking brake. It is a round pawl that comes out between the drive sprocket points on both left and right sides. If your brake is hard to release then you should drive forward and/or backward very slightly while pushing the brake handle forward. Ice and dried mud can also cause troubles with the application and release of the parking pawls.
Last MT100 I bought got the tracks worn out after 200 hrs. Replacement from Bobcat - 1300$. I ordered from other place for 485. It's up to you to choose...
My machine has 107 hrs on it tracks are in far worse condition than the ones you’re replacing. I love bobcat but I’m not a fan of their oem tracks I find they wear out too easily. I’m not easy on them for sure making tight turns on pavement with a full bucket multiple times a day and much more so I’m aware I’m always going to have to replace tracks faster than normal but I’ve found a lot of the aftermarket tracks hold up to my abuse a lot better and it doesn’t hurt they’re cheaper too.
In a hurry i use 1imch rebar and a crowbar. Takes muscle and someone else to drive the tracks . Do it on sevice calls. But honestly removing that wheels makes sense.
Looks like the trick is removing the idler. Our MT85 is about ready for its new shoes.
Good job and thanks for the instruction.

What size socket is the tensioner?
It's a big boy, I think it's 1-1/2

A 37 millimeter also fits perfectly. For those with a Cal Ranch nearby, your can purchase a 37mm Tekton by itself
Thanks for y’all’s reply’s

Also what mini right angle small impact is that you use to take off tightening bolt?
It's not an impact, it's just a Milwaukee M12 electric ratchet.
The tracks cost about $1,000
@@easyeddystrees is it 1/2”?

Do you know how to adjust break?

What is the model number of the Milwaukee tool? 90 degree ratchet Thanks
I'm not sure but it's literally just Milwaukee 1/2" M12 electric ratchet
Did you buy OEM Tracks? If so how much were they?
Yes they were $1000 for the set
