@@thatonesentientbagel4043 'Truer Lies' is an all-timer for me. The birth of Fries Quatro-Queso Dos Fritos and the beginning of a great three episode run into 'Tuesday the 17th' and then 'An Evening With Mr. Yang' that was an incredible three weeks of television when it first aired.
Gus Walks Into A Bank. This episode perfectly demonstrates how Shawn would die for his best friend, and it also exemplifies Shawn's genius and intuition
Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark is one of my favorites as well for this same purpose, it shows off his intelligence and charm to win the respect of his captor and gives him a fighting chance of survival. It also shows Shawn and Gus' great connection, but the other way around.
Last Night Gus was my favorite. Everyone was so funny and the scene where Gus is drugged and oblivious while there's a shootout happening around him has me laughing hysterically every time. I also like the Dual Spires episode a lot just because I loved Twin Peaks so it's nostalgic and funny.
"IMAGINE THAT YOU COULD MAKE A KID BELIEVE THAT YOU HAD GIVEN THEM ICE CREAM WHEN YOU JUST GAVE THEM A CONE! AND WATCH THEM SKIPPING AWAY LICKING NOTHING BUT AIR!!! IMAGINE THAT IMAGINE THAT JACK!!!!"
Let’s all be honest, it’s the episode where Shawn and the gang wake up after getting completely wasted and Carleton thinks he shot someone. The donut ahahaha.
Last Night Gus is a good episode, and almost certainly the best “late season” episode of the show, which to be honest got kind of wobbly after season 5. The single best episode of the series from my perspective is a no-brainer: Shawn 2.0. It was the show at its most perfect. Hilarious, clever, impactful on the ongoing narratives. Amazing episode. The next five best likely includes 65 Million Years Off, Lights Action Homicidio, Not Even Close Encounters, Six Feet Under the Sea, and Shawn (and Gus) of the Dead. Tons of other great episodes too, obviously.
I really like "Shawn takes a Shot in the Dark"n because we can entirely see how Shawn can be strong, smart and brave. It's a special episode. But the Yang trilogy is even better. I really like when Shawn became serious and became the best. (like Santabarbaratown 2)
I honestly believe "Heeeere's Lassie!" from Season 6 is the best episode in the series. It has funny dark comdey and the style of the cinematography really nails the horror genre it's replicating. Also, the actor that plays Lassie has a really good performance in this episode.
When I watched it as a young one I didn’t like it so much, because it freaked me out! But as I studied film for a little bit, I grew to love that episode. All of the references and the cinematography were a-plus and even the scene where lassie chases gus, it’s freaky but it also perfectly keeps intertwined the comedy with gus’s screaming and trying to reason with Lassiter.
I liked when they made reference to movies that Dulé was in like Holes in “Sixty Five Million Years Off” and Gus keeps acting like he doesn’t know the movie. They did a few other times too, but that was the funniest.
Last Night Gus is my atf. “YOU PUT SOME SUNGLASSES ON!!!” My girlfriend’s favorite is Six Feet Under the Sea. When Lassiter asks the name of the victim and then he’s like “Thesealion? Is that French?”
The yang trilogy, they we're serious, dark and have two of the most pscyhotic villains that i saw in a crimen show Ok, mr yang was More of an antihero than a villain, but anyway
I’d like to piggy back this because I really though Mary was one of the funniest characters the show ever produced. He really stole the show every time he was on the screen.
Filter: Has to feature Woody Strode. Honorable mention: S6 E14 Autopsy Turvy 1st Place: Last Night Gus Psych was a family event for us. All our kids would climb into our bed we'd watch each new episode together. It still holds up so well. I can't die! I have 43 Twitter followers who depend on me! -Woody Strode.
Gus Walks Into a Bank is definitely one of my favorite episodes, absolutely hilarious Also one of my favorite moments is in 65 Million Years Off when they see all the holes dug in the ground and Shawn keeps asking Gus 'what was that movie with all the holes and Shia Labeouf' and Gus (Dule Hill who's actually in the movie Holes) refuses to answer. It gets me every time lol
The episode where shawn is shot is criminally underrated because it finally confirms that Jules likes Shawn while also being tense and scary. Still though, nothing beat the yang trilogy
"Disco didn't die, it was murdered" is definitely up there. "Dual Spires" is also great, even if you don't get all the twin peaks references. Man, there are so many great ones, it's too hard to decide.
It's a scene that flies by really fast, but the clip of them rolling up to the club in the beat up car and Gus limping inside like one would in the 70s because his leg fell asleep was so funny and clever
I'm on board with these! Disco didn't die I'd say is my number one with last night gus also right up there and my god tim curry is excellent in American Duos.
I’m sure I am in the minority on this, but I really dislike the Yang episodes. And they became increasingly less good as they continued to try too hard to make those dramatic. Took the show out of its comfort zone, which was the heart of the problem. All of those episodes are near the bottom of my list.
I dont remember the name, but it's the one where they find a guy with a bunker with like automatic weapons and a mine, and Lassie is very excited to find all that stuff. It's my favorite because of the scene where Gus and Shawn go back to their office, make like nacho chips, and sit down on their couch, right onto the mine. They couldn't get up without triggering it, since it only triggered once the pressure plate was pushed down and then released. So they called the bomb squad, and when they sent in the robot to defuse, they directed it to the nacho chips instead of the bomb
The "Office Space"-intro is the funniest segment of Psych ever. That alone makes it a great episode. "Last Night Gus" is also a great episode, which is the funny all the way through, unlike "Office Space", but I really have to favor "Office Space". My third favorite episode has to be "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark", because it is impossible to look away from what is happening in front of your eyes. An honourable mention would have to be the finale, because it may be one of the best series-finales to date.
My favorite was always Romeo and Juliet and Juliet. Gus accidentally throwing Shawn through the window gets me every time, along with Shawn thinking he can leap a fence just to cross body it.
This is and always has been one of my fall-back comfort shows. When I am down and out and just need to have the world around me melt away, I watch a half-season or more of this show.
“Lassie Jerky” is an amazing homage to Blair Witch Project with the handheld feel to the episode that matches perfectly with the comedic horror elements throughout the story. There are so many quotable moments with Shawn, Gus and the new side character introduced which blend perfectly into the cast. As you said in the first Psych video, “This is comfort television”
There are lots to choose, and like he says in the video, it has lots of elements, I'm here for the comedy, so this is one of my favourites, but I finished my first marathon, and now I'm on my second view so I find gems in almost everyone💖🍍
It’s so hard to pick a good episode because the script is so good in every episode, there is always at least one, if not more, hilariously quotable lines in every episode. If you go back and look Psych has created so many really famous meme templates and barely ever gets credit for them. I will rewatch this show over and over and I never come to an episode I want to skip because they’re all so great.
Sorry all..... but the episode that has me laughing from start to finish is Romeo and Juliet and Juliet. When Shawn takes one class and thinks he knows Wu Shu is hilarious. The fight scenes where he tries to get in on the action are first rate, and the scene where Gus acts like a lawyer is pure gold!
my favorite has to be "Sixty Five Million Years Off", it's the episode where an archaeologist find a t-rex skeleton on a farmers lands and the farmer kills him. it was the first psych episode i watched, i was flipping through the channels and stumbled upon it, only saw the last 20 minutes but i loved it right away and then started watching psych.
That's a hard question for me..I'll just say some of my favorites Tuesday the 17th Duel Spires The devil is in the details in the upstairs bedroom Not even close encounters Yang series Last night gus Shawn gets the yips
Henry: I saw the shooting on television, I been trying to call your cell phone. It keeps going to voice mail. I been worried to death. Shawn: I... forgot to turn on my phone. Henry: Gus, let me ask you something. What was the very first thing you did right after the shooting? Gus: I called my folks to tell them I was okay. Henry: And what's the first thing he did? Gus: He ate a banana. Henry: [to Shawn] You ate a banana?! Shawn: I sure I did. You know why? Because it makes me think of you, because you're my big old papa monkey.
Shaun and Gus of the Dead is my favorite episode, but there are so many great ones to choose from. Gus with the Mummy room kills me though. And the Photo by Bruton Gaster, and the 11 point turn
Yin/Yang trilogy for sure, but Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark is also a favorite. Lassie calling Shawn "detective" and complimenting his aim is so touching. The character relations in the show are truly the highlight of the show.
Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Shawn 2.0 holds a special place in my heart. The cameo by Curt Smith was unexpected and perfect. I still remember the scene where Shawn and Gus are in the process of confronting Declan at his mansion and the whole thing gets completely sidetracked when they notice Curt Smith playing acoustic guitar. Shawn pretty much pauses the entire episode just so he can declare his everlasting love for the man. I probably would've had the same exact reaction in that situation :)
It was perfect! I was especially amused at how Declan was bossing Curt around, as if Curt was his servant. Before PeeWee Herman's scandals in the '90s he did a Christmas special and was bossing Annette Funicello(sp?) and Frankie Avalon in a similar way -- forcing them to lay on a beach blanket and make Christmas cards. It was almost like Psych writers used PeeWee's Christmas special as inspiration.
Last night Gus. 65 million years off, American duos, here’s lassie, lassie jerky, lassie did a bad bad thing, viagra falls, Black and Tan: a crime of fashion, shawn (and gus) of the dead, Christmas Joy, high top fade out, high noon-ish, not even close encounters, the tao of gus, office space, 100 clues, cog blocked and of course, the break up.
I’d have to say my favorite episode is the John Hughes memorial episode. My dad showed me The Breakfast Club when I was going into high school and the homage to that film in that episode really hits home for me. Additionally, I would have to mention Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark. Great episode that builds on the relationship between Shawn and his dad. Next would be all of the Yang episodes and Tuesday the 17th for the same reasons you mention.
I have to say I agree on your episode choices. On second viewing, I found the relationship between Shawn and his Dad even more pivotal to the plot and devleopment of Shawn's character and risk-taking attitude. You just see how it is quite traumatizing for young Shawn to be treated that way.
@@NaterTot I totally agree there! And I love the open endedness of the last episode too. We all have our fingers crossed that at least one of these new films will bring Despereaux back. It was set up perfectly for that to indeed happen, so I think its just a case of waiting for it to happen rather than hoping it will. I can't imagine they won't do something further with him in one of the movies in the future.
You showed the clip for one of my favorite lines from the whole show. I still remember it. "I feel like an angel baby swaddled in a cocoon of cloud candy."
I love psych!!! IMO the spelling bee was the one the best episode and just as you said, I start my rewatches with that. The particular scene was when Shawn started giving the grocery list as spelling bee words, I almost peed my pants laughing.
I really like "Office Space", I mean the start of this Episode was so funny XD... But also the Episode with the marriage proposal from psych for juliet was great ;)
I saw a reaction to Psych American Duos and the guy gave it like a 5/10. Im like, then just give up now because A, that episode is amazing, and B, it sets the framework for the entire rest of the show. I really didnt watch it before that episode, but after I was hooked.
It is a good episode, the first episode of that season, but it suffers a bit by comparison the next episode - 65 Million Years Off - which was simply a much better episode.
I think someone describes this below, but "Cog Blocked," because Dule gets his due in acting moments, and also because it was so satisfying to see him throw his sample case on his boss's desk.
it's hard to pick an overall best, I think the two funniest episodes are last night Gus and Deez nups. but I will say that I have never laughed harder than when Gus made the AK-47 sound over the grocery store intercom in we'd like to thank the academy 🤣
season 7 episode 11 of psych pretty much sums up how psych works, gus freaks out then drags shawn in (and vise versa) and they eventually go to henry for help. its my favorite episode because everything went so wrong and the way gus freaks out is classical.
My favorite episode has to be Episode 6 of Season 1, Weekend Warriors. The Yang trilogy was good too, and while the spelling bee episode was a good introduction to what the show would become overall, I think I enjoy the pilot a little more for some reason. I think the, "...a Lieutenant Crunch is here to see you." "Actually ... it's Captain Crunch." lines are a good starter for the slapstick humor the show would bring.
They're ALL the best. I think 1 of my all time favorite scenes, was when Shawn went boneless, though (episode when he haunted Gus's boss)! Took 5 min before I stopped laughing😂
I watch Psych, all of it, once a year. It's the greatest show I've ever had the pleasure to bond with, and that includes Buffy. The characters are perfect, for all there flaws an all. At the risk of sounding like a real white guy, I love them all...
A great analogy of the Mr. Yin episodes. The ending is so dramatic and the song choice that I think starts with the scene between Shawn and Abigail is perfect - particularly how it's playing over any dialogue between Juliet and Lassiter so the actors are really bringing the emotion through their body language and facial expressions.
I love all the episodes but i love scary sherry and the last episode. All the yang episodes are great. Psych really is my favorite show tied with monk. It's nice seeing people still talking about it, i watched when airing(rewatch it every year) but no one i know ever saw it
Love so many episodes, as well as the theme song. But #1 has to be ”Last Night Gus". Sooooo hilarious! Seen it a million times, but still laugh til tears run down my face.
One of my all-time guilty pleasure episodes is Autopsy-Turvy (Season 6 ep 14), when Grace (the mortician) tries to frame Woody. Woody is hilarious, and there are so many cool cut-away settings and cameos (the fortune teller, the performance artist, the ballroom etc.) I have yet to see anyone on any forum bring it up, so it may just be me!
I think one of the most underrated episodes is the episode right after Juliet finds out Shawn isn’t Psychic. Shawn plays the scenarios and solves the case. Just a great episode!
I hadn't thought about that one. It's so upsetting to watch, that I think I pretend it doesn't exist. The two timelines format is brilliant, though. Not talked about enough.
The Yin-Yang trilogy is also my favorite in terms of overall production, but the funniest episode to me is Last Night Gus. It's the first time Woody gets some real screentime, which is really why it's so much funnier.
One of my favs is "Shawn takes a shot in the dark”. It is sooo unique. Building in tension and character growth. (Love the growth we see with Henry). We definitely need more of those!
It was so tough to find just one. I honestly could have named about 70% of the show! I hope you consider subscribing, supporting and checking out my other videos!
Honestly I love all of the episodes. But if I had to then dive down and go into my like personal favorites. They all would kind of be based upon my mood. Like. I love rewatching High Top Fade Out when I want a good mix of funny but also serious. Same with Shawn takes a shot in the dark. But I absolutely love watching Santabarbatown 2 if I need to let some good tears fall down my eyes cause it’s just such a good episode and I don’t think I’ll ever forget the adrenaline I felt when I watched that episode because it was live. I had no idea if Henry would survive. I was feeling what Shawn was feeling. Good stuff. But like my all go to laughter episode? Would probably be last night Gus. It always just cracks me up with it’s chaotic nature. But office space and no country for old men also just make me laugh so damn hard. But I also love the Yang/Yin series especially because of how in-depth it is. Like. I’ll admit. When I first watched the trilogy I didn’t realize how in-depth they had made it. But. They did. And I love that! So I also love that. I also love watching extradition 2 The actual Extradition Part when I wanna see Shules canon and just feel a victory when they do kiss. Just gosh. I could go on and on about favorite episodes. So I’ll just say all, but if you want in-depth. It depends on my mood 😂. Sorry for the long comment man 😂.
I rewatched this show maybe 10 times and I don't think there is an actual bad episode just some better than others. This is easily one of the best and most underrated shows of all time
The Yang trilogy are definitely the best episodes (I agree on the Hitchcock one), so I'll go with "best moment" - S6E06 where Gus grabs the gun and is grooving to Kenny G... so ridiculous but I don't think I have ever laughed that hard at something on TV.
I honestly can't pick. I have laughed, cried and enjoyed each and every episode I've watched with utmost pleasure. This is by far, the best show out there!

GREAT episode, top ten for me.
“Does he have those old man boobs?”
beginning of office space is maybe the hardest i’ve ever laughed at a show
I actually had to pause the part where Gus is trying not to contaminate the crime scene to take a pee break the first time I saw this episode.
Yes!!!
'you said the meat and cheeses were not gonna touch Shawn' it is seriously one of the best openings ever.
When lassiter shoots the doughnut I lose it every time.

I like that one too. I like when Shawn steps out of his wheelhouse a bit, beyond just being goofy and is the hero we all know and love.
I love the first 2 Yin Yang but honestly the last one was underwhelming and disappointing in comparison to the other ones
Those are both in my top 3
Most underrated show of all time makes me sad it doesn’t get the recognition it deserves

There are lots to choose, and like he says in the video, it has lots of elements, I'm here for the comedy, so this is one of my favourites, but I finished my first marathon, and now I'm on my second view so I find gems in almost everyone💖🍍
4:45
Last night Gus, (the episode with billy lips I forgot the name of), the spelling bee and dual spires are some of my favorite episodes
i DIE for last night gus, any episode with screen time for woody is a winner for me
@@soup6925 the one with billy lips is ‘100 clues’
"He ate a banana"
Only true psych fans will understand...
“‘Cause you’re my big ole’ papa monkey!”
Bollywood Homicide!! “ I’m also one quarter Jamaican “- Shawn
No you're not. Stop telling people that!
Phaahaa!!!!
“Even their water is spicy who does that.”
I agree 100%. Why this show is so beloved!!
Hands down, pineapples up, it’s the episode where Gus contaminates the crime scene of his dead boss. Never laughed so hard in my life.
The musical episodeeeeee
"Ive heard it both wayss the right way and then yours"
Sorry all..... but the episode that has me laughing from start to finish is Romeo and Juliet and Juliet.
When Shawn takes one class and thinks he knows Wu Shu is hilarious. The fight scenes where he tries to get in on the action are first rate, and the scene where Gus acts like a lawyer is pure gold!
This was my show and connection with my friend who passed unexpectedly, now going on two years ago. I miss it and him.
Pilot might have to be my favorite episode. Early Psych is so raw and mysterious and don’t forget the blu letters on the window of the Psych office.
my favorite has to be "Sixty Five Million Years Off", it's the episode where an archaeologist find a t-rex skeleton on a farmers lands and the farmer kills him. it was the first psych episode i watched, i was flipping through the channels and stumbled upon it, only saw the last 20 minutes but i loved it right away and then started watching psych.
I love that story! It's so cool to find something that's partly or mostly over and you know you need to see more of it.
Great episode. Definitely top 5.
That is a top 3 episode for me. Terrific.
Season 5, the police academy episode. Funniest episode in my opinion and one of the best ones as well.
In my humble opinion, Season 2 had some of the best episodes of all time like American Duos.
Agreed. I think that is when the show was the strongest or at least most consistent!
"The extra T is for extra talent."
My favorite ep is the tella novella one. Plus Lasiters baby moment.
That's a great one!
That good one, there's so much good episodes I love 95% of Psych episodes
Is that Mauricio in there?!
Is that the last of the secret sauce in there?!
That's a hard question for me..I'll just say some of my favorites
Tuesday the 17th
Duel Spires
The devil is in the details in the upstairs bedroom
Not even close encounters
Yang series
Last night gus
Shawn gets the yips
Henry:
I saw the shooting on television, I been trying to call your cell phone. It keeps going to voice mail. I been worried to death.
Shawn:
I... forgot to turn on my phone.
Henry:
Gus, let me ask you something. What was the very first thing you did right after the shooting?
Gus:
I called my folks to tell them I was okay.
Henry:
And what's the first thing he did?
Gus:
He ate a banana.
Henry:
[to Shawn] You ate a banana?!
Shawn:
I sure I did. You know why? Because it makes me think of you, because you're my big old papa monkey.
Yips is great. I havent finished the video...or the comments. But I loved the high school reunion
I never knew cinnamon pie existed until the Duel Spires episode. Now, we make one every holiday LOL
My favorite is the Yang trilogy as well
But The Break-up, American Duos, and anything with a lot of Shules are honorable mention
Agreed!!!
Gosh dang it, every time I hear about Mr. Yang in Psych, all I can think of is Andrew Yang. 😂
I laughed so much when I watched the telenovela episode! I would love to watch all the Psych episodes all over again.
Shaun and Gus of the Dead is my favorite episode, but there are so many great ones to choose from.
Gus with the Mummy room kills me though. And the Photo by Bruton Gaster, and the 11 point turn
That episode is definitely near the top.
That is the single best episode of the series for me.
All great episodes
Cog Blocked was a good one !
I like the one where the lawyer thinks he saw aliens abduct his co-worker. Just thinking about it makes me giggle.
That's a great one.
Last Night Gus, Black and Tan, and the spanish soap opera episodes are definitely my favorite. All amazing.
“we’d like to thank the academy” is a FAVVV of my friends and i. every line is hilarious
and american duos oh my god
"Not Even Close... Encounters" - "I don't want to get probed,Gus!" That might have been the hardest laughs I had in the last decade.
"We're seamen Shawn." by far the greatest line in psych
All but just the “earth wind and …wait for it” episode and I had tears in my eyes our boys looking so heroic
I like the Telenovella episode
Love that one!
And the laundromat scene where they referred that episode was hilarious
"That guy was on the show for 4 episodes"
I have to say I agree on your episode choices. On second viewing, I found the relationship between Shawn and his Dad even more pivotal to the plot and devleopment of Shawn's character and risk-taking attitude. You just see how it is quite traumatizing for young Shawn to be treated that way.
The Yin Yang trilogy would have to be my favourite, but a close second for me personally is the 4 Despereaux episodes because, well, Cary Elwes.
I love the intrigue of the Despereaux episodes. They did an excellent job developing and writing them. Of course Elwes is amazing too.
Yes! Such a good line!!
But also the Episode with the marriage proposal from psych for juliet was great ;)
Frantic Gus is Gus at his best, in my opinion!
I think someone describes this below, but "Cog Blocked," because Dule gets his due in acting moments, and also because it was so satisfying to see him throw his sample case on his boss's desk.
my favorite is "The Greatest Adventure In The History of Basic Cable" season 3 episode 4.
That's an excellent one.
it's hard to pick an overall best, I think the two funniest episodes are last night Gus and Deez nups. but I will say that I have never laughed harder than when Gus made the AK-47 sound over the grocery store intercom in we'd like to thank the academy 🤣
I just wrote the same thing!! i watch that clip on youtube so much.
bounty hunters will be my all time favorite.. that shawn-jules moment at the end, love it..
The opening scene of Bounty Hunters was so entertaining, I had no doubt it was going be a great episode...and it was!
I love Last Night Gus because of the interactions between Lassie and Woody and just the whole plot of the episode is amazing
season 7 episode 11 of psych pretty much sums up how psych works, gus freaks out then drags shawn in (and vise versa) and they eventually go to henry for help. its my favorite episode because everything went so wrong and the way gus freaks out is classical.
The episode in Chinatown where the one girl is "kidnapped"
I love Shawn 2.0! Especially the "who the gug is that guy" scene
For me, that is the undisputed best episode of the series.
It's nice seeing people still talking about it, i watched when airing(rewatch it every year) but no one i know ever saw it
Scary Sherry was the first episode I’d watched, the night it premiered. Been hooked ever since.
Love so many episodes, as well as the theme song. But #1 has to be ”Last Night Gus". Sooooo hilarious! Seen it a million times, but still laugh til tears run down my face.
Romeo Juliet and Juliet is the funniest episode and my personal favorite outside of ying yang episodes.
One of my all-time guilty pleasure episodes is Autopsy-Turvy (Season 6 ep 14), when Grace (the mortician) tries to frame Woody. Woody is hilarious, and there are so many cool cut-away settings and cameos (the fortune teller, the performance artist, the ballroom etc.)
I have yet to see anyone on any forum bring it up, so it may just be me!
no way i love that one too!!! whip chatterly is an amazing name too.
Everytime I rewatch Psych, I always forget the spelling bee one is the second one, because the quality feels way too good for only the second episode.
I love the holes references in one of the last seasons. When I started watching psych I didn't realised dulé Hill was the same actor HAHAHAH
dude my favorite is the one where Gus's boss gets killed and he goes to the crime scene before the police and messes it up
I'm gonna sub because not enough people talk about psych, and everyone needs to see it
I love all of the episodes so much, but my favorite has to be Last Night Gus. It’s so hilarious!
I love Psych and I’ve been rewatching it because of quarantine. I completely agree with this video, but I also think that every episode had its gems
Psych is the best that has been done!! Every episode is unique, love them all!
"We'd like to thank the academy" was a good one too! Love the honorable mentions, and I agree with your list though.
I could just repost this word for word. Nicely said. I think we have the same Psych eyes
The addition of mary lightly/Jimmie Simpson just pushes that trilogy over the top.
Hes ridiculous in that
I rewatched this show maybe 10 times and I don't think there is an actual bad episode just some better than others.
Made me laughing remembering it. 😂
I honestly can't pick. I have laughed, cried and enjoyed each and every episode I've watched with utmost pleasure. This is by far, the best show out there!
My favorite was the ‘Cinnamon Festival’ episode. I hadn’t even watched Twin Peaks first.
the one where he first lied as being a psychic & the one where he finally owns up
