Something I've noticed about this dude is that atmosphere and "ambiance" might be some of the most important things to him creatively. In video games, anime, television, and of course, the production of his own channel. The way he inserts himself into settings (with a green screen) and interacts with these artistic environments-the music he chooses, the compositions and editing choices he makes-even going the extra mile with acting (5:50) and humor. Internet Pitstop is a vibe, in and of itself. Watching these videos, it DOES feel like an actual pit stop on the internet to rest at, and vibe at. It's actually kinda meta that he makes videos about atmosphere, presenting them in the way that he does. There's a lot of commentary channels on the internet. But this guy has saturated his brand with far more than just commentary. I don't just feel like I'm learning watching these videos, but rather it's an entire experience. And he didn't have to choose this route as a YT Creator-he could've just been a faceless voice laid over gameplay. Yet he chose to go the extra mile, the extra lightyear! Each video is a true work of art. You can tell he put love into every aspect, and deliberates over every second of his presentations. For going above and beyond (simply writing just) the script... and for creating an inviting, nostalgic, and sentimental pit stop on the internet... I express my thanks. (And, I should've done this much sooner, but I will now be joining the Patreon supporters to continue to fuel this man's creativity and this community's safe haven. Heck, I'm pretty sure it helps UA-camrs out when you purchase from their sponsors too... so I'll make an order from Hello Fresh while I'm at it.)
Wow man thank you so much for this comment and your support. And it’s funny cause you are right I do think a lot about the vibe or atmosphere on my channel. Much like adult swim, I don’t want it to be just another channel I want it to be it’s own little world and experience. Rereading your comment made me realize I actually am even more obsessed with this idea of atmosphere than i thought, so I really appreciate this.
You're very welcome man. Coincidentally, your Adult Swim video was your first video I saw!! I remember you saying the bumpers in your videos were inspired by it. It clearly impacted your creative direction. I'd agree that "little world" is the best way to put it. Watching Adult Swim at night did feel like entering a "little world". I can't call many other YT channels "little worlds", yet you achieved exactly that in your catalogue. You're on to something! Hope to see your community continue growing. Can't wait to meet some of them in the Discord. Cheers
I'm surprised you didn't talk about Skyward Sword, that game's atmosphere makes me always feel like I'm living in some beautiful oil painting, the dungeons can be terrifying, atmospheric, calming, skyloft feels like a cozy home and flying around in sky you can almost feel the wind on your skin, funnily enough the most the most linear Zelda of them all is the one that gives me the sense of growing wings and soaring through the clouds Edit: With that said, Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask are by far still my favorites
The vibes in Skyward Sword are unmatched. When I got the game when I was younger, I spent literal hours wandering around Skyloft before finishing the “prologue”. Absolutely majestic up there.
@@cosmicwinters I'm not them so I can't say exactly which they were talking about, but Ancient Cistern is pretty up there when it comes to creepy Zelda dungeons
This channel is like my new adult swim, literally every video of yours is unique and makes me feel like im taking a break in a secret little corner of the internet
Dude, I’m so jealous!! I wish I could go back to my first play though of that game.. it’s so epic and definitely one of my 2 favorite games of all time! Ocarina and TP hold a special place in my heart for sure!
Me too! After using my "Nintendo time" for the day, I would leave the game on to play the title screen music over and over and over. It created such a relaxed yet focused state of mind, even for my anxious little kid brain. I think the horse running sound effects played a big role too, the music alone doesn't quite do it . . . though an amazing track regardless.
Majora's mask always has a somber and dark tone, which is only inhanced by the people you meet the themes of the game it's self, but that doesn't mean there aren't happy or joyful moments, such as reuniting two lovers one affected by a curse, after being freed will always warm my heart. That's why it's my favorite zelda game.
Honestly it kinda ruined persona 3 for me. It did the whole "remember you will die" thing better and Link didnt even die in it just help others accept theirs.
This why I like this kid, he got a funny little one liners. Out here dressed like a Metal Gear Solid villain. 😆Keep up the content grind, ur uniqueness is appreciated.
The little moments of Zelda games, imo, are the things that elevate them so much. Little attention to detail, or world/character building things that didn't have to be there, but were put there anyways because the dev team cared so much about the product they were making. The injured soldier in Ocarina of Time during the section after getting the Ocarina of Time but before getting the Master Sword. Or the little character interactions all over Majora's Mask that give so much insight about them, such as the section where Anju's mother talks to her about her fears that Kafei may have cheated on Anju with Cremia. A completely missable and even hard to find interaction that most players won't see. Stuff like that does so much to sell the setting and atmosphere, to make it feel like its own little world.
Zelda games have so much atmosphere that if they spontaneously replaced Earth, all life would immediately die under the immense atmospheric pressure created. Not as short and quippy, but more scientifically accurate
Glad I'm not the only one who fell in love with the Temple of Time atmosphere so hard they slow walked in there too. To this day it's still my favourite song from OOT
You've captured the essence perfectly in this video. It's the atmosphere that always draws me back into playing Zelda. Exploring forgotten ruins and magical forests is a strangely humbling and immersive experience. And as we all know, nothing beats the unparalleled atmosphere in Link's Crossbow Training. Anyway, fantastic work on the video!
I just started Twilight Princess last night and hot DAMN the atmosphere is insane so far. Unfortunately now I wanna play the game first before watching this, but I already know the video is gonna be peak when I get back. Thanks for the legendary content Internet Pitstop! Also your dog rules.
Twilight princess is so good, for whatever reason it’s not my favorite, but it’s probably my most replayed Zelda game. It just makes me happy to playthrough it.
For me, Majoras Mask is a rare example of a game that truly transcended it's medium. The 3-day cycle, which you can freely move through and explore, allows this deep and meaningful presentation of these characters as they transition from daily life into impending doom. All of these characters you can interact with as many times as you like, try different things at different times, maybe fixing their problems, but the small number of lives you can fix are ruined once again at the end of the cycle. This multi-faceted approach, combined with sorrowful and often beautiful writing simply brings these characters and stories alive in ways that are just not achieved in other games.
Tears of the Kingdom had a fantastic atmosphere for me, whether you're running around the Surface seeing what the people of Hyrule can do once they've finally got a foot underneath themselves, or the somber lonely vibes of running around the Zonai ruins in the Sky, to the feeling of constantly having to stay alert and on your toes in the Depths. Finally, that fantastic final confrontation with Ganondorf is one of my favorites in the Zelda series. I hadn't felt that intimidated facing Ganondorf since playing OoT3D as a teenager.
@@capitanpastabase6342The atmosphere is pretty good, but I find the atmosphere of Twilight Princess’ finale as well as Ocarina’s finale is better, partly in due to those games having better _setup_ atmosphere. The payoff is better because it’s thriving off a better foundation. But that’s my opinion.
Twilight Princess set in motion my love of Gothic Dark Fantasy as a child. I can't thank it enough cause that led me to the soulslike genre. I feel this level of atmosphere hasn't been present in the newer Zelda games.
I love the BOTW segment. It's super easy to be low on that game now but it is still a masterpiece to me. It truly commits to what it is. It'll always sound boring to explain it to others but the game evokes wanderlust like nothing else. And that includes TOTK (bigger map does not equal better).
That aspect of past media not being afraid to create darker/ more mature content for "children's content" is the aspect of the things that i MISS from the 90's. I was born in '89 and i loved that things didn't always treat us like we were stupid little kids. Things found creative ways to cover very relatable, conveying topics that taught us A LOT ABOUT LIFE AND THE WORLD AROUND US. I miss that so much!
My favorite experience was snowpeak ruins in twilight princess. the music and even the 'dungeon' itself ,which isn't even called a dungeon because it's just some ruins the yeti couple moved into, were so mysterious
I just got vr and found a steam vr map of the outside of snowpeak. I was immediately in awe seeing it like that. I never noticed how elegant and beautiful the architecture is. Just sat there for 30 minutes and took it all in.
Internet pitstop is LITERALLY such a treasure. I cannot emphasize how much your work means to me and your effort you put into these videos. You collabing with Kingk and Liam triforce felt like the Triforce shards forming for me. And this mans outfits each video be FIRE everyyy time. You don’t miss man. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again.
ain't no way you've managed to make an hour long video after the insanely long anime backgrounds video thank you so much IP, starting the year off with a bang and blessing us with so much awesome content!
ocarina is such a heartfelt fairytale masterpiece that really respected its audience and wanted to instill courage. This is what makes it almost completely unmatched.
i agree i know it's kind of a meme to call it overrated/the goat but it's still my favorite game, just because no other game really made me feel like i was going on such an adventure. also I'm a sucker for time travel and the type of game zelda is (used to be?) lol
I really enjoyed OOT when I was very small on the N64. I was so young I can't remember any specific details but I remember how I felt playing it (and Mario 64) that I finally completed it on the 3DS... These games do stick with you.
There's something about the N64 that had a really unique feeling that's in a bunch of games that I can't explain. Yoshi's story, Mischief Makers, Mario 64, Turok and others that I haven't felt in other games.
There's some bias in this for me, since Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game/video game, but to this day my favorite moment from any Zelda title is when you're running as Wolf Link, carrying Midna on his back to save her. I've played TP so many times at this point, but every time, the urgency to help her is still there (just wish Midna's Lament didn't cut out every time you came across an enemy; it ruins the moment). Honestly, TP's overall atmosphere is my favorite from the franchise. The soundtrack, the sound design in the temples and dungeons, the orientation of the cutscenes, everything. It's all so beautiful.
The music cutting out underlines this all too well: the atmosphere of that moment is _incredible,_ it is huge and palpable and it is the result of a lot of details working in unison. And it is fragile; the music changes and it _ruins the atmosphere._ And yet, it was powerful enough that we all remember it as one of the best moments of the game.
I'm a fan of Stone Tower temple. I really like how the wind blows through the dungeon whether its right side up or upside down. The music for the upright version does a great job of representing the spirits you heal with the song of healing.
Man I teared up during the Majora's Mask portion, when talking about the people's stories. The NPCs in Majora's Mask are without a doubt, some of the most real feeling characters in any video game, ever. It's heartbreaking to hear and see people react to something so horrifying and unescapable. Once when I was a kid, I was sick and had to stay home from school. I had recently learned about Ben Drowned, which I found incredibly interesting and spooky in the best way. So as I lie in bed, I watched a Let's Play of Majora's Mask on my dinky little tablet. It's what got me interested in Zelda. A year later, I got Wind Waker HD, which became one of my favorite games of all time. I'm more of a Mario fan. Always have been, and I always will be. But Zelda never ceases to hit something in me that nothing else can. The atmospheres are so unique, and they can be so _real,_ that they just get to me. I can't imagine who I would be today if I never got into Zelda. I know there's no way I would've made it to this point without getting into Zelda, especially after Breath of the Wild, but man. It's had such an impact on me.
Something about the distinct way the N64 produces sound is just so important to the atmosphere of OOT and MM. Its that combined with the graphical limitations and quirks. You just can't replicate that exact atmosphere even if you were to remake the games now.
Yeah, this guy might be my favourite channel on UA-cam. The work rate is insane for the level of editing, and he talks about these kinda obscure things that just hit hard. It’s not a review of a game it’s a review of the atmosphere and that’s just the kind of thing that I like. Thanks man and keep it up.
The Forest Temple music paired with the twisting hallway is probably the most memorable gaming experience I've had. I felt like I had a gamer high & was so immersed in the atmosphere (this was the 3DS version because I was too young when the N64 version came out)
The Rito Village, covered in snow, as you enter it and the music hits. That shit is the greatest zelda moment ive had. Comparing it to the full of life Rito Village from BOTW, the TOTK one made me experience a new type of chills down my spine
That snow covered Rito Village made me pause, pretty much all of the main towns did. They felt like real places that were in trouble and I wanted to help them..
Isn’t it wild that a large number of us voluntarily walked through the Temple of Time? I distinctly remember not running. It’s why we don’t run through the coliseum in Rome… it’s why we don’t walk on church pews… why we don’t yell in beautiful areas. There’s a Gaelic concept of “thin spaces”… those spots where the veil between the divine and the temporal start to overlap a little. They can be different for different people but generally share common characteristics of being invested with value and meaning. Of course I think in the same way quality novels can transport us before God… so too can transcendent games. Props for the amazing video big man!
Your videos man, your videos... they got that enchanting vibe like stumbling into a peaceful hidden away place where you forget about the outside world for a while. Then you come back and it feels like you never left. What a great way to start the year. I might replay OoT now, I've been thinking about it for a while.
2:50 on top of that, Tears of the Kingdom Link will hum old Zelda tunes while his food is cooking! Just a cool detail I thought you may not have noticed
I used to LOVE Link’s Crossbow Training! It was the one game I could play with my grandparents growing up. I’m so obsessed with your videos man. I got my snackies and the vibes are always immaculate. I appreciate watching your channel grow and I always stay wishing for your success 🙏🏾 keep it up king
Wasn't expecting a new video so soon after the last big one. And it's about Zelda, hell yeah! I think BotW has the best atmosphere for me. The remnants of the Calamity, the ruined towns, then the beautiful peaceful nature around it ... Fantastic. Oh, and happy new year, everyone! 🎉
I genuinely just discovered your Channel and boy am I impressed.. my first video was you talking about TP, which is my favorite LoZ game of all time and hearing you give it the love it deserves was so amazing and to top it all of the comedic aspect of your content is so refreshing. Thank you my internet roommate you’ve touched my heart my friend.❤️
My first Zelda was Link's Awakening, even though the battery couldn't save I still played it every single time to see how far I could get. Jumping from that to Ocarina of Time was an amazing experience
I will NEVER forget the feeling I got in the first scene from A link to the past. The rain, the music, the sense of danger, sneaking around the castle defenseless oh my god I love it
Your twilight princess video auto played after a podcast I was listening too while driving to my grandmother's house. That was the beginning of a heck of a rabbit hole and I binged nearly all of your content, highlights being the twilight princess video and the dark souls atmosphere video among many others. Only halfway through the video but it's again exemplary. Keep doing what you are doing and helping us 20-something year olds hold on to a bit of our childhoods. Phenomenal as always, and if I ever decided to make content, I would aspire for it to be a quarter as enthralling, captivating and wholesome as yours.
I couldn’t handle the pressure of playing Majoras mask esp since I have a perfectionist habit, but the way you spoke about it makes me wanna give it another try
11/10 vid, watched the whole thing on the tv while eating dinner with friends. The part about the North Korean missiles and the moon was insane to sit through with people . This was amazing
Your brother saying the villages make him think Bosnia makes SO MUCH SENSE to me that’s exactly how I feel about them. Like this feeling of home that you brought up. I can just sit in the villages all day long
You're absolutely killing it man. This was such a beautifully crafted video and trip down memory lane. I love the passion, the editing and comedy was 10/10, with some genuinely compelling more somber moments. New favourite channel by far.
i teared up multiple times watching this. you talking about the atmosphere of wind waker especially, it really brought me back to being 5. it was winter break in kindergarten and my dad and i had just done the tower of the gods. we had just had a blizzard, so all day we played. i remember feeling like i was in the king of red lions, slowly descending my way to this castle. i remember i was nervous the dark nuts and moblins would just start attacking me out of no where. i always think of the this memory when it snows and it hasn’t snowed in a few years where i live, so i thank you for bringing this memory back to me. thank you for creating this pitstop
Another great video. You really captured the aesthetic beauty of the Zelda franchise. Though you forgot to mention Skyward Sword, that game is so underrated and full of heart
I’m so glad whenever UA-cam recommends your videos. I just love how you just talk about these things that you always thought were special, and just talk about them like your having a whole conversation. The atmosphere of these Zelda games, and the other ones you’ve talked about are truly amazing; but I think the atmosphere of your own videos are even more amazing. Because here you are after playing these games, whether in your childhood or as an adult, talking about how much you love them and being able to get across what changed you or helped you understand things you’ve never really thought about before. I love to watch you videos a lot, especially when I’m drawing and I need some good background noise. And because your videos are usually so long, I don’t need to look for another video right after 20 minutes or so have passed. (I mean, I’m still working on finishing you 4 hour long anime backgrounds video; I’ll finish it one day.) But seriously dude. Your videos always emit such vibes that I can’t describe, and it’s honestly inspired me a lot. So, thank you for this video! Keep up the great work. (Also, how do you edit videos that are this long you mad lad)
Having always been a person who loves to soak in the story and vibes of the games I play, I have to say this video gave me chills from start to finish. Just the way you describe them reawakens the memories of my very first time playing these games. I just wanna say thank you for that. I needed it.
I feel like you're channelling Jim from Treasure Planet with your fit in this video and I'm here for it. And yeah, the way the Zelda series seems to effortlessly dance between wildly different, yet equally mesmerising atmospheres might be the main reason I love the series so much, especially when you consider how much music affects atmosphere. I am kind of bummed that Skyward Sword was left out of this video, as I think it has a couple of the most atmospheric dungeons from the entire series and the Faron & Lanayru regions have some really special areas, but I know we can't have everything . It's always so satisfying when people make amazing video essays that put to words how you've always felt but could never articulate- THANK YOU!
Bro you are a genuine artist from your delivery to your choice of video. Im your senior yet your the one who inspires me to do what i love. Keep it up you legend
Kinda sad skyward sword wasnt mentioned, as some areas like the thunderhead, sandship, and the forest temple really have great atmosphere imo but man this was such a fantastic video. You've been killing it lately dude, keep it up!
You know those memes of looking inside a video essay and instead of an actual essay its only a summary? This guy's videos are the EXACT opposite of that. Always amazing insight, insane amounts of passion for what he's talking about, and a great sense of humour. I'm not even that big of a Zelda fan (I've only played Ocarina, TP, and BOTW) but I still loved this video to bits.
Dude I love your videos so much. The atmosphere and vibe of this one is immaculate. The cozy nostalgia of hearing you talk about things that I've loved since I was a kid is unparalleled. Thank you for putting so much love into what you do.
The vibes on Links Crossbow Training are SUPERB The little details, the clever illumination, the birds you can see in the air from time to time It's such a great game with some of the greatest vibes ever really such a waste you didn't talk about it on this video
Your videos are so great man, you can really tell that this is made from your love of these games and your passion for it. Thank you for putting in so much effort! The way you articulate your thoughts and describe this experience most of us had playing the games is just great.
i know this just came out but it’s already one of my favorite zelda videos of all time. dude really gets what i love about the series - there’s this mix of hope and melancholy that almost nothing else i’ve seen can match.
It always warms my heart when I hear someone talking fondly of and praising Twilight Princess (I am still clining to the hope that we may - one day - get something akin to a sequel to TP). Very well done video, as always. Cheers.
I've said this on a different video, but you do such a great job in mixing humor with the actual topic, and you put words on your topic so well. It's not content and humor, it's content WITH humor, but in a natural way and not overdone. Of course the editing and narrating is very refreshing too. Hope you keep doing your thing and get rewarded for it!
I'm so glad I found your channel in 2022, your content has only gotten better, love the humor, the narration, the topics, thank you for blessing our new year with a new heartfelt a dedicated video! I wish you all the very best this year
Wow, man... This video is crazy good. To say your breakdown of these games is good is such an understatement. You point out almost all of the resaons why this franchise is godly in quality imo, and I also loved your nuanced interpretations of the characters, the world, the story... You got yourself a new subscriber, my guy! Also - loved the comparison between Bosnia and Hateno as a guy from the Balkans, it absolutely checks out and has never crossed my mind before. Svaka čast!
I remember standing around for hours as a kid in the lakebed temple and twilight realm just listening to the music and taking it all in. I don't know what it was but something about those places felt eerie to a point of almost being comforting. I still have a playlist full of twilight princess ambience to this day. Your section at the end of the Majora's Mask segment was amazing too, the bit about the wedding, both for the developers and anju/kafei had me in tears it just hit so hard. It's just numbers and pixels but the weight of that game's atmosphere is still so unreal and conveys such a strong urge to save those people. It's the perfect mixture of despair, sadness, comfort, and hope.
I was a Playstation kid, it was Brave Fencer Musashi for me. However, I have played Link's Awakening since my cousin had the original NES. RPG/adventure games really affects the young mind and acts like an interactive story you get lost in.
Damn I actually cried hearing that dialogue from the Lon Lon Ranch sisters in Majora's Mask... Beautiful game, and wonderful video! I love the length on this one too, the Anime background one was great but a bit long to digest at once, but this felt a lot better pacing wise.
my favorite area in zelda is the astral observatory. perfectly reflects the entire games vibe and feelings into one room, and the song is undeniably the most emotional song for me. i’ve had my happiest moments and saddest moments listening to it. and that with the sound effects and what not is something i couldn’t help but be immersed in. everything down to the colors breathes this tragedy, but also feels cozy and hopeless. it’s a roller coaster of emotions, but it’s really amazing how the tutorial (which to me is the beginning of the game to when you first play the song of time) reflects perfectly on the games tone and the type of world you’re in and how you will have to go about saving everyone. it’s great how the observatory is so tucked away, and was super exciting to figure out how to get there, and i think it’s the only enjoyable “tutorial” ever
Majora’s mask is and will always be my favorite game of all time some people don’t understand the greatness of Majora’s mask and I could never explain it I’m glad you were able to explain it in a meaningful way and successfully showed thousands of people the greatness of Majora’s mask
It’s so nice to see you get the recognition you deserve man. One of the most wonderful communities and content on the internet. Love the stuff you put out and excited for another year with whatever you cook up!
This video, especially the part of majoras mask, genuinely brought me to tears. I grew up on these games and I have never heard that emotion the games brought said so perfectly. You perfectly captured the exact way I felt playing these games and explained it in a way that just worked so well. Thank you
I think your channel is one of my favorites nowadays. The style and uniqueness of it really brings me a more personal feeling than most of the channels I have watched in and out of my language. Maybe, someday, I will do a channel, and most likely will be something inspired by you, and for such, I shall thank you from the bottom of my big deformed heart.
never have I had a video give me goosebumps so often as this one. Never has a video awaken memories from games that i wasn't even there to play when i was released, yet played it still recently. Never has a video motivated me as much as this one to actually draw without worry. Never has a video been so pleasantly presented to the world as this one, I might be overexaggerating, but this video it really saved a dying light of an interest i dont think i will let go of for years.
Oh of my favorite cuz I have a lot is the final boss battle in ocarina of time. It was PITCH BLACK And I couldn’t see anything. Scared the absolute frick out of me. This also reminds me of a moment in one of the Call of Duty World War Series. You had to get past a tank that unloaded shot after shot. Couldn’t see anything. Just like the final boss fight in Oot it was a fight for my life. Love it Bonus: Piecing together The Song of the Hero in Skyward Sword. Levias singing and then the dragons joining while link floats into the air to reach the heart. It really cements the idea that this is where it all began.
Bro just wanna say I love your content. I don't see much UA-camrs doing what you are doing and something about your videos just feel so entertaining with the balance between being calm and relaxing and being funny at the same time. Keep up the work man!
Man. Every video the pitstop grows. Turning this thing into something much bigger than yourself. The community you're building is talented and just as passionate. Another timeless video my guy! Keep fucking going!
Something really synergistic about Majora's Mask themes/atmosphere with sense of doom, is that due to the 3 day time cycle, you're constantly having to undo all the work you put in to help the people of Termina: You CAN'T save everybody at once and are forced to watch as the people you do save are put right back where they started every time you reset the cycle, as if all you're doing is wasting your time, and of course the passage of the time limit also adds a sense of urgency and stress: The player's own emotional state is just as much a victim to the falling of the moon and the game's sense of gloom and dread as the world itself is. Anyways, if you do another one of these videos on a specific franchise, I think the Halo series would be a great option: I think a lot of people see Halo as a sort of generic dudebro FPS but it's art design, music, and sense of atmopshere and mood to a lot of it's playspaces is really something.
You videos always feel like being curled up in a warm blanket, this one was another spectacular video. Thanks for letting us stop on by the pitstop again.

What 4 hour video? I can't see it. But I want to.
I'm surprised you didn't talk about Skyward Sword, that game's atmosphere makes me always feel like I'm living in some beautiful oil painting, the dungeons can be terrifying, atmospheric, calming, skyloft feels like a cozy home and flying around in sky you can almost feel the wind on your skin, funnily enough the most the most linear Zelda of them all is the one that gives me the sense of growing wings and soaring through the clouds

Brilliantly put. He should definitely do a follow up talking about Skyward Sword.
Which one did you find terrifying?
the silent realm especially
@@cosmicwinters I'm not them so I can't say exactly which they were talking about, but Ancient Cistern is pretty up there when it comes to creepy Zelda dungeons
This channel is like my new adult swim, literally every video of yours is unique and makes me feel like im taking a break in a secret little corner of the internet
Dude, I’m so jealous!! I wish I could go back to my first play though of that game.. it’s so epic and definitely one of my 2 favorite games of all time! Ocarina and TP hold a special place in my heart for sure!
Yeah, like a pot stop
tbh his videos feel a bit too derivative of nakey jakey's channel, i wish he would diverge a bit more from the vocal cadence / green screen content
Almost like you're talking to a dude at the gas station
@@mrghost3272 you very accurately described how i feel watching this video lmao. The editing is top tier too haha!
I will never tire of Majora’s Mask artistic and emotional analysis
Before I had access to the internet, I'd put on OoT on the TV just to let the music play while doing homework.
I just came across both this channel and yours within the last few days. Glad to see legends respecting legends!
I used to do the same with Chrono cross!
Me too! After using my "Nintendo time" for the day, I would leave the game on to play the title screen music over and over and over. It created such a relaxed yet focused state of mind, even for my anxious little kid brain. I think the horse running sound effects played a big role too, the music alone doesn't quite do it . . . though an amazing track regardless.
hello when new video?🤨
Manley and IP. Two channels I get to say I watched before they inevitably blow up. Yea I’m weird like that.
Also, your fits are on point as usual. I love your stuff, keep it up.
Honestly it kinda ruined persona 3 for me. It did the whole "remember you will die" thing better and Link didnt even die in it just help others accept theirs.
The overwhelming bleakness makes the healing you can achieve that much more satisfying and meaningful.
WE SLOW-WALKING OUTTA THE TEMPLE OF TIME WITH THIS ONE BOYS 🔥🔥🔥
Zelda games has enough atmosphere to create its own solar system
But none is required for that.
Bars ! Bars! Bars !
Zelda games have so much atmosphere that if they spontaneously replaced Earth, all life would immediately die under the immense atmospheric pressure created.
Not as short and quippy, but more scientifically accurate
@@thepotatoportal69 its true tho
This DOESNT MAKE ANY FUCKIMG SENSE!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for both your comment and your great vids showing off this ambience they really helped with getting shots for this vid 😁
I just started Twilight Princess last night and hot DAMN the atmosphere is insane so far. Unfortunately now I wanna play the game first before watching this, but I already know the video is gonna be peak when I get back. Thanks for the legendary content Internet Pitstop! Also your dog rules.
I envy u rookie 😂
The game even looks like a Renaissance painting.
Twilight Princess is not just my favourite Zelda game, but my favourite game period, have fun with it
Same. One of my faves.
This multi-faceted approach, combined with sorrowful and often beautiful writing simply brings these characters and stories alive in ways that are just not achieved in other games.
i wish i liked the 3 day cycle lol but it's annoying to have a time limit in games personally lmao
@@highdefinition450 It's such a weird game. Honestly it gets better when you know what you're doing and play it on consecutive playtrhoughs
Man just dropped a 4 hour masterpiece on us and then blessed us with a 1-hour banger for the New Year. What a Legend
I hadn't felt that intimidated facing Ganondorf since playing OoT3D as a teenager.
sky and depths were too same-y for me :/
TotK finale is the best in the series. The atmosphete is unmatched.
@@capitanpastabase6342 its not a bad game but in terms of atmosphere nothing beat majoras mask
@@waiz0231 I mean specifically the atmosphere of the finale, simply unmatched
@@capitanpastabase6342The atmosphere is pretty good, but I find the atmosphere of Twilight Princess’ finale as well as Ocarina’s finale is better, partly in due to those games having better _setup_ atmosphere. The payoff is better because it’s thriving off a better foundation. But that’s my opinion.
Twilight Princess set in motion my love of Gothic Dark Fantasy as a child. I can't thank it enough cause that led me to the soulslike genre. I feel this level of atmosphere hasn't been present in the newer Zelda games.
It also looks like a Renaissance painting thanks to the natural colors.
That’s what makes it timeless imo.
Agreed the whole vibe being cast away as a beat in wolf form to the twilight realms… will forever be my personal favorite
I love the BOTW segment.
It's super easy to be low on that game now but it is still a masterpiece to me.
It truly commits to what it is. It'll always sound boring to explain it to others but the game evokes wanderlust like nothing else. And that includes TOTK (bigger map does not equal better).
TOTK’s map is basically BOTW’s map with extra content and that’s really just about it.
I have never been happier and prouder to be a Majora's Mask enjoyer. You truly did that game justice.
My favorite experience was snowpeak ruins in twilight princess. the music and even the 'dungeon' itself ,which isn't even called a dungeon because it's just some ruins the yeti couple moved into, were so mysterious
One of my favourite Zelda dungeons, #1 in the category of creative dungeon concepts and vibes
Thank you fam!
Every time you talk about Twilight Princess, i wanna do another playthrough.
ain't no way you've managed to make an hour long video after the insanely long anime backgrounds video thank you so much IP, starting the year off with a bang and blessing us with so much awesome content!
I was about to say this is crazy
ocarina is such a heartfelt fairytale masterpiece that really respected its audience and wanted to instill courage. This is what makes it almost completely unmatched.
i agree i know it's kind of a meme to call it overrated/the goat but it's still my favorite game, just because no other game really made me feel like i was going on such an adventure. also I'm a sucker for time travel and the type of game zelda is (used to be?) lol
Twilight Princess is my favorite of the LoZ series but Majora's mask isn't far behind
Such an incredible video
Agreed.
I recently played the two N64 Zelda titles and man... the magic of both games is insane.
Both are experiences :)
Couldn't have said it better myself. The atmosphere in OoT literally changed my life. So many iconic locations!
Korki Forest
Hyrule Field
Castle Town
Inside the Deku Tree
Lost Woods
Water Temple
Gerudo Valley
Fire Temple
Temple of Time
So many iconic locations!
Probably just nostalgia.
the way you blend your charm with your editing is something else. I appreciate your content, genuinely helps me decompress, thank you.
Same your editing is really fun! Keep up your good work!
Wasn't expecting that Any Austin shoutout. Haven't watched him in ages but loved his stuff ever since his eggbusters days. Shoutout Aysha too.
I felt like I had a gamer high & was so immersed in the atmosphere (this was the 3DS version because I was too young when the N64 version came out)
5:48 Marky Mark Gigachad Super Saiyan Big Brother is my favorite character in the Internet Pitstop extended universe. 😂
Love it whenever he pops up.
The Forest Temple unforgettably sets the tone for the second half of that game.
It's still crazy to me just how good these videos are considering there's only 35 videos on this channel.
"That one friend that makes everyone laugh (he's sad)"
Damn man, that hits...
i teared up multiple times watching this. you talking about the atmosphere of wind waker especially, it really brought me back to being 5. it was winter break in kindergarten and my dad and i had just done the tower of the gods. we had just had a blizzard, so all day we played. i remember feeling like i was in the king of red lions, slowly descending my way to this castle. i remember i was nervous the dark nuts and moblins would just start attacking me out of no where. i always think of the this memory when it snows and it hasn’t snowed in a few years where i live, so i thank you for bringing this memory back to me. thank you for creating this pitstop
I was 15 and my youngest bro was 7. We both felt the vibes the same way. These games transcend generations. Thanks for the flashback
Lol I love treasure planet! And always thought Jim was a cool looking character so that makes sense!
The atmosphere of windwaker especially during ganons curse creeped me out as a small kid😂
Bro you are a genuine artist from your delivery to your choice of video.
Im your senior yet your the one who inspires me to do what i love.
Keep it up you legend
At 1:04 hearing “u” from To Pimp A Butterfly was *chefs kiss*
I came looking for someone mentioning this in the comments. 100% - it was perfect
I feel like City in the Sky from TP is underrated. It captures the atmosphere of a lost and abandoned sky area perfectly.
Kinda sad skyward sword wasnt mentioned, as some areas like the thunderhead, sandship, and the forest temple really have great atmosphere imo but man this was such a fantastic video. You've been killing it lately dude, keep it up!
What a way to start the new year with another Internet Pitstop banger. Happy new year everyone.
16:14 phantom discord notification, truly atmospheric
Dude I love your videos so much. The atmosphere and vibe of this one is immaculate. The cozy nostalgia of hearing you talk about things that I've loved since I was a kid is unparalleled. Thank you for putting so much love into what you do.
The vibes on Links Crossbow Training are SUPERB
The little details, the clever illumination, the birds you can see in the air from time to time
It's such a great game with some of the greatest vibes ever really such a waste you didn't talk about it on this video
You got me feeling all nostalgic and in my feels over games that have been so special to me for over 20 years now. What an amazing video!
Just dropping more indirect Twilight Princess love for New Year's huh? *I'm here for it.*
Bro yes, shit had me tearing up while reading the article and writing the script lol
god i love majoras mask. i’m actually proud to be a majoras mask enjoyer, nothing beats this game and the atmosphere it gives in the final hours
Let’s go, the LoZ franchise was so memorable and fantastic
my favorite area in zelda is the astral observatory. perfectly reflects the entire games vibe and feelings into one room, and the song is undeniably the most emotional song for me. i’ve had my happiest moments and saddest moments listening to it. and that with the sound effects and what not is something i couldn’t help but be immersed in. everything down to the colors breathes this tragedy, but also feels cozy and hopeless. it’s a roller coaster of emotions, but it’s really amazing how the tutorial (which to me is the beginning of the game to when you first play the song of time) reflects perfectly on the games tone and the type of world you’re in and how you will have to go about saving everyone. it’s great how the observatory is so tucked away, and was super exciting to figure out how to get there, and i think it’s the only enjoyable “tutorial” ever
You're truly a man of culture. The transitions, also the editing game is DELIVERING more more with every video!! Keep it up! love your channel!
Thank you for preaching about how important vibes are in these videos! Being able to articulate a feeling very well is something I’ll always love
51:40 ah yes, the Hebra region, my favorite area in all of Zelda. Certainly beats BOTW and it’s Snowhead region
You're the goat bro. Haven't played many Zelda games myself, but watching your videos makes me feel like I grew up playing them
never have I had a video give me goosebumps so often as this one.
Love it
Bonus: Piecing together The Song of the Hero in Skyward Sword.
Thank you man!
I love your videos. Perfect to have on a second screen and just having a good time.
I will never get sick of hearing people sing praises to Majoras Mask. What a gem of a game. Ohhh I really got to replay it again
You videos always feel like being curled up in a warm blanket, this one was another spectacular video. Thanks for letting us stop on by the pitstop again.
