Wow, thank you so much for this - I've just seen the concert on UA-cam, which I've never seen before - really interesting - the time when REM were making it big internationally and starting to get crazed fans - also nice to see Michael not skinny!
i was 2 when they did this what a shame lol all my favourite bands i missed!!!! dont really wanna go see em now i know that suks but no berry £90 a ticket if your lucky lol this stuff is priceless!!!!!!
Yeah, I agree about the daylight. When I saw them in Berkeley (a couple of weeks ago) the REM took the stage at about 7:30! Michael actually made a couple of comments about being able to "see EVERYBODY".
Bill’s rhythmic drumming is an overlooked part of what made early REM so great. This is golden time REM…
Overlooked only by idiots. 😂
Just listen to that drum ..😊

Wow... Peter's using 12 string on this. Kinda cool.
V cool
it's kinda weird seeing them play in daylight...can't believe I've never seen this before.
Old rem is great
@khasperg Have you seen Stipe’s momentary mimic of Brando (from Apocalypse Now) in the video ‘Bittersweet Me’? ;)
Great! Entire concert out there?
Love that guy who runs on stage and gets dragged off!
Guitarist looks like Izzy Stradlin from GNR
Actually Izzy looks like Peter Buck. Buck came first.
Ironic...he doesn't seem too passionate at this concert :-P
