Your videos always seem to be posted at the perfect time! I'm resting right now as I just ran my first half marathon yesterday. I went into the race with low expectations because I think I was subconsciously categorizing the dozens of other participants as 'running people' or 'real athletes' and my mind was just set on not finishing last. At the starting line, I NEVER would've imagined that I'd finish in second place. It's the most surreal thing in the world, and something I had no clue I would ever be capable of doing.
The thing you were saying about breaking the race into small checkpoints is really useful, as I definitely feel that there were times where I was thinking "oh crap I feel like dying and I still have 5 miles" that might've slowed me down. Breaking it down seems like it'd be a great way to stay mentally strong through the race.
I didn't realize you were vegan! If you ever mentioned it in a video I must've missed it. Your potato bowl looked amazing! I feel like there's always a sort of social stigma around even talking about veganism, especially on the internet, but it'd really be awesome to hear about your journey and get some recipes if you're into nutritional eating! I'm always looking for new things to make.
I just realized how long this comment was, whoops! Just wanted to thank you because it was your last ultrarunning video that inspired me to sign up for that thing spontaneously. It was awesome and inspiring to see your first 50km, great video!

Something really cool that really pushes your out of your comfort zone is the run for your lives zombie race. It is annually held in Sweden (not sure if it exists in other countries) it’s basically a 6.5 kilometre run where you have three lives and along the way there are zombies trying to grab your lives and it’s really scary. Especially if you run late in the evening. It really pushed my comfort zone and it’s an amazing experience. Even if you don’t finish with all or a single life it’s an amazing experience. If you get the opportunity to try it, you definitely should! It’s life changing.

Adrian, thank you. I am a 19 y/o overweight vegetarian who’s been held back for so long by her own head, seeing all these people with perfect bodies and an incredible vegan diet making it look so easy - I’ve felt for so long that I was just a huge failure for not being able to stick to anything, be it regular exercise or a purely plant based diet. But the way you talk about how you used to drink and smoke and be the antithesis of a “sporty” person, the way you philosophise and just stress the importance of “one step at a time”, you’ve honestly inspired me beyond anything anyone else has to start running, and start making simple, healthy meals to lose the weight that’s kept me insecure for all of my teenage years, as well as gain the self respect I’ve lacked for so long by proving to myself that I can live a life independent of animal products and that I can be strong, healthy and motivated. You’re a wonderful human being Adrian, thank you for sharing. And well done!!! 😌🏅🏃🏽‍♂️

I’ve been so excited for this video since you posted about the race on your insta story!! Honestly ok this is really inspiring because it seems so rewarding, but I really do have trouble pushing myself to just start things, if that makes sense. I always have the THOUGHT of like starting to run or even just eating with a certain diet or something but like,,,...,,idk there’s always a part of me that just thinks I won’t keep up with it so why even bother? Idk. Your videos have really shown me that it IS possible, though, and I’m starting to get more motivation to change myself. Thank you for these videos, and please keep it up!!
Also, side note, did you ever run on treadmills? Or do you recommend running outside instead? I live in Downtown Austin so I’m kind of anxious when it comes to running outside, but I feel like treadmills are kinda? Shit for actually enjoying the run lmao. What do you think?

We are so proud of you!! You are my main inspiration to start getting my crap together. Because I hate myself and seeing how much that you've changed since you were 16 it makes me see that I am actually beautiful in my own way. It sounds dumb and it makes me seem full of myself but view me the way you want because I can think way worse about myself than you can. But then again... Adrian, you are an inspiration

when you make videos like this, i always feel so inspired. it's incredible to see your journey and you appear to be so incredibly mature - you're aware of what you can do and give amazing advice. one thing i would like to say though - even if i don't have the time to do any of this myself, i know i do want to start including things like this as soon as i do get some time.

This was so inspiring I usually hate exercise or even talking about it because I’m so out of shape. But after watching this I want to run! And that’s incredible to me how one amazing video has positively impact a thing I hate. So thank you so much! Your videos are amazing!

it would be really nice to see a video about how you started getting into running or something, like tips for starting
also a video about what you eat on a day to day basis would be really cool :)

absolutely incredible and so so inspiring! so proud of you and how far you’ve come in so little time. you totally crushed that race!! (and your knee ouch ouch)
watching you run through the pain with so much distance left to go was astonishing, your willpower and determination have to be made of steel! seeing you be strong like that helps me find my own inner strength, thank you!
(unrelated side note, but i just woke in the dead of night from one of the worst nightmares i’ve ever had and i needed a distraction to keep me awake. i am so so glad i chose one of your videos, you’ve given me the courage to face my dream demons once again and go tf back to sleep lol)
