I am so happy to see these tree tutorials because I have been struggling to figure out how to get the colors and shapes for a natural look. You have been extremely helpful in so many ways, thank you!
I painted 15 trees from memory a few days after watching your video. Today I rewatched and am ready to paint 15 more trees. I would never have thought to use the #2 brush for these. Seeing and doing is believing.
Thank you so much! I love that the tutorials are clear and easy to understand. It makes it so much easier for a beginner like me to have the confidence to give these paintings a try :)
Thank you so much for uploading, I am new to water colors and I can’t afford art school but my passion is there. I am grateful truly I am I feel like I am in school
Wow, u have helped to clear up my road block with trees! Can’t believe I didn’t need to attend an art class in person to work on this skill! You are a blessing
Thank you for doing your tutorials in “real time”. It makes such a huge difference! You’ve really inspired me. I dug out my 18 (yes 18) year old M. Graham watercolors, and am so excited to start painting again!! 🥰❤😊
I painted some trees that actually look like trees! So happy, thank you :) Desperately waiting for either my local library to stock your books or Santa to bring them!
Jenna. thank you! somehow your tutorials are very easy and pleasant to follow. I'm so happy I started with your UA-cam videos. I tried other videos and got "sad" at my resulting work and always coming back to your videos make me feel inspired, encouraged, and motivated with watercolouring. Please put out more videos! They keep me going on this watercolouring journey!
Ma'am, seriously I have started watching this video from age 10 and now finally I can learn and draw trees from this video. From HEART thank you ma'am for this video
I have a painting competition tomorrow and I've never painted with water colours in my life but it is compulsory to paint with watercolors . I know that I can't make a perfect drawing tomorrow but , it's always good to try.
Thank you for sharing this! I have your watercolour book "Everyday Watercolour" and covered this section on trees (Day 7/8) which i enjoyed ...so a bonus to have the video tutorial which i will revert back to.......appreciated!
So good! It seems doable! Definitely giving this a try. Thankyou for a fantastic tutorial! And I agree - it's been too long since your last tutorial! Thank god you are back!
I have done TV interviews. I was the same as you when I started. I was looking at the producer for signals. You did a GREAT JOB WITH THE TREES. Its something I struggle with and that's not a good thing for a landscape painter.
Thank you so much I just finished watching the entire video. My favourite tree was the first one and last one. The second tree looked like an anime tree❤. The music was very calming. I would also be really happy if you showed me how to draw a camel.
Thanks for the feedback, I LOVE hearing what people specifically loved! I was just thinking of doing an animals tutorial, so thanks for the camel recommendation!
Jenna, I once went to a craft night and I seem to remember doing flowers starting in the middle, taking and doing a large circle by swirling the brush. Could you do a video on that?
Hello Christine from France!! Ugh, my husband and I would LOVE to go to France soon. We had such a fantastic time in Paris and surrounding areas, can't wait to go back!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@JennaRaineyChannel I'm lucky to live in France, I know, but your country is marvellous too. So many beautifull lanscapes to paint all around the world
Now this is an exercise for my patience! My brushes are not so good and I get suuuper frustrated when they get dry 😭 Also, where I live they don't sell the Princeton brushes 😢 the brands they sell here are only student level
Patience is an important part to well-rounded painting. You can do it! Supplies DO make a big difference, but I believe you can totally achieve what you want. Happy painting, Judi!
Jenna you are a godsend!!! What a beautiful girl you are, and WOW what an artist, teacher and all round superstar. Just wish I had your talent. Bless You xxx
I re-watched the video and did a new row of trees beneath my original ones. Night and day! The shaping and shadowing is so much better. The trunks look more natural, and-lol-the branches on the last two trees are not all going out to the right and left. When I looked at them yesterday I realized they reminded me of a kid's drawing of "mommy" where her legs are drawn at the edges of her skirt. Do you know what I mean? 🤪Now I have to improve my flowers...
These are the best water color trees in my opinion! I LOVE YOUR TREES! I love painting trees and your style is after my heart so thank you for doing this video, I love learning from you, and I just found you!! But now you inspire me!! So I'm going to go get my paints out and give it another try...I don't paint enough, but I can "FEEL" it calling me! lol Thank you!! :)
Hi Jenna, I'm new at watercolors and don't have that Jenna Rainey touch yet. :) Just got my Heritage brushes and really like them. Made my first trees and the good thing is-they look like trees. The bad thing is: they don't look like good trees, lol. But I I'll be repeating them later. I am really enjoying all of the basics, building my foundation one step at a time. Thanks for your wonderful tutorials. :)
Thank you for the tutorial. I watched a few of your other videos and appreciate the way you teach. I just subscribed. Please consider zooming in a little bit more. I love how you basically used the same colors to show different techniques and different styles of doing trees. A great way to contrast and compare. And I like the autumnal color variation.
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I was wondering if I could use some of these techniques to paint a weeping willow tree, one of my favorites. I love your videos, the music is so calming and you are very good at explaining what you are doing, it is so much appreciated by a beginner like me!
I’m so glad these videos are helpful, Daneen! Willow would be a fun one to paint, and yes! Take some of the tips you gathered and try out your own willow a few times! Happy painting!
I love how you did this & explained this bi had so much trouble painting trees. I am going to try this. I have learned so much from watching you. Thank you so much.
This is wonderful and albeit I struggled because my paper and brushes didn't want to behave the way I want them to, I made it work and my result was so lovely! I just LOVE your tutorials, you are so soothing and fun to listen to and the music is great. You are an amazing teacher, I have grown so much since I found you. If I could wish for one thing it would be that in the tutorials you show a close up of the finished tree (in this case) and of the brush strokes that you used more clearly (I am having troubles seeing this correctly or in detail on my phone). How would you use those trees? In what kind of situation? Do you have a finished painting you could show us? Thank you so much!
Hi Cordee wonderful to know that you learnt to paint trees from this wonderful teacher, If you like to see how those trees can be used I would suggest you take a look at this channel #artistsatwork53 you will get an idea of how these lovely trees can be incorporated into beautiful yet simple watercolor landscapes. There are a lot of videos to through, keep safe keep connected
