    Your nurse is fantastic! She's so friendly and confident. I would feel very safe with her giving treatment.

    Your home health nurse, Danielle, is so awesome and helpful for being comfortable with being in your vlogs. Kudos to the home health company, as well, since it doesn't seem to have a policy in place that completely prohibits her from being filmed. =)
    Between her pink hair and normal street clothes, her chill and laid-back personality, and the way she takes the time to carefully and calmly explain every step of not-so-routine medical procedures that could potentially become dangerous, life-threatening situations at any moment (although the risk is low), I can only guess that she's probably already helped make the idea of home health a lot less scary to more people than she can even imagine.
    [insert really big thumbs up, right here, for Danielle]

    Yay! I just took a break from my homeschool and I saw your video. You really make my life easer Jaquie! Without you I would not have a port, I would not have a feeding tube that has saved my life. My life would be a lot harder without you jaquie. Thank you for all your love and support you have given us!!! As a chronic illness warrior myself I know that you are always in pain and you have helped me go through that pain and I will try my best to help you through your pain! Stay cool Jaquie! And thank you again for all your love! (And I have been with you sense the first days of your channel and have always loved it) You are one of my favorite you tubers Jaquie!!!

    I love your nurse!!! I dubbed the nurses I grew up with (my mom’s a retired nurse; for most of my childhood and into adulthood she was a burn nurse in our local hospital’s burn unit) and MY best nurses from doctors offices and the Infusion Center, “Nurse Thugs.”
    It’s both affectionate and the highest of compliments and admiration.
    Danielle is DEFINITELY a high standing Nurse Thug.
    I couldn’t do Remicaid in my home; for me I much prefer the Infusion Center. I started getting Remicaid when my (18th Birthday Girlie TODAY!!! 🌯🍨🎂!!!) daughter, Ripley was three. So it was a four hour mini-break in a comfy chair, cable TV, and adult conversation, none of which I had at home. Also, most of the nurses I originally had knew or had worked with my mom. Her boss once started my IV. (Hospital staffing is constantly changing; she wasn’t always her boss, but at that time, she was.)
    Plus, my Infusion Center is only two miles from my house. When the weather is nice and my symptoms controlled, sometimes I walk it.
    So, it wouldn’t work for me; and also for other reasons than the ones I listed, but it’s TERRIFIC for you, and I am SO glad you have it!!!

    Hi Jacquie! I just found your videos and they are great!! I have many of the same conditions as you ( POTS, EDS, MCAS, and I have CVID and a rare IgG3 subclass deficiency as well as B cell dyscrasia and abnormal T cell population (CD4+|CD8+) sooo I’ve been on IVIG and SCIG for years. I totally empathize with what you’re going through with it. I just wanted to chime in to let you know from experience that you’re instincts are correct : it does get better with each infusion. Your body does learn to tolerate it. Like you, I had the “incredibly rare” experience of aseptic meningitis from one infusion, another time my blood pressure dropped to 75/50 during the infusion (and not from POTS for once! Lol!). I’ve also had infected PICC lines, horrible experiences with one jTube and I had to go back into surgery 3 times that week and have drains put into my abdomen to suck out stuff that leaked. (I know, gross, and tmi, sorry!). Anyway, I just want to say hang in there, you’re such an inspiration. I’m sure you’re helping sooo many people with these videos. And, if you ever want to chat about anything, I can tell you’re very well informed and you do your research as I have for years, (what choice do we have, right??) but I’d always be happy to discuss anything (IVIG brands, infusion frequencies, etc.,) or just life stuff that comes with all of this.
    Gentle Hugs!
    Adrienne
    P.S. Harlow is lovely!! My dog and fiancée are largely responsible for my ability to maintain my positive outlook on life (and my fiancée would say it is more the puppy 🐾🐾).

I have diabetes, congestive heart failure with internal defibrillator, PTSD and anxiety. You help me keep my attitude right. Plus I love Judd and relate to him and his career and military service. I was in the military and worked for Careflite Dallas. Anyway I find comfort in your videos and am learning from you. I also have a single AFO for my one bad ankle. Love what you do and how many people you help.

    When I have to go to the ER and they push fluids to fast. I have the worst side affects, the last time I went I made them slow it down. Which made me feel a-whole lot better. I’m always so dehydrated, I sweat way to much. I don’t know why, just no matter how much I drink, I’m still very dehydrated.

I have been running fluids for the past few days (lots of them!) so I was not effected too badly this time. Usually blood work does not effect me all too well."

      It ensures our port is working properly and there isn't a clot in the catheter etc. Also as you saw we use it to have our blood drawn often times by the time we have a port our veins are doing poorly (like her friend Janice) that we rely on our port to be the point where we get blood drawn for labs

    This question has nothing to do with todays vlog. Do service dogs need to be registered?

    • @hollywittenberg7031
      @hollywittenberg7031 6 років тому

      Angela Guenther Not in the United States

      @taryn2540 6 років тому +1

      In the US no (if your somewhere else i'm not sure) There is no legal certificate or registration, there are ones online but they have as much legal standing as a paper that you wrote service dog on in sparkle pen. What makes a service dog a service dog is "a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person's disability."
