I hate that anyone outside of our family knows the name Marjorie Taylor Greene. I’m concerned her stupidity distracts from the reality of who Marjorie Taylor Greene really is. She is terminally ignorant, apathetic, toxic, divisive, hateful, entitled and cruel. You have probably noticed she has a penchant for lying. Like Trump, nothing with her is ever as it seems. What I find disgusting is that I am the only relative to speak out/call out her bigotry and hate. It’s like they believe they can feign not knowing if they never acknowledge it. This is a woman who pathetically hid behind our great grandmother’s name to write her antisemitic, bigoted lies and conspiracies for American Truth Seekers. 2 of our great grandmother’s children were still alive at the time but were so old that they were unaware. Marjorie always thinks about herself first. Not America. Not her husband. Not her children. It’s The Marjorie Show. And her vile hate has definitely rubbed off on her children. Her son used the homophobic hate slur f&ggot in a tweet with his sister. Marjorie encouraged his transphobic tweets, ALWAYS loving them. It’s incredibly disappointing to see someone who has never wanted for anything in life or experienced true suffering, choose to use it in this way.

Confusing compliment and complement is forgivable. But thinking a Petri dish is a “Peach Tree Dish” and not having the curiosity to verify or correct yourself is scary. That’s a person who not only never thinks they’re wrong, but doesn’t care if they’re wrong.

This fact should scare people more than it does. This is why curiosity is an important trait for anyone, especially people in important leadership/government roles, to have. I'd say it's precisely because she is not very literate. If you see the written word, you know it's not peachtree dish, stroking or gestapo. True, one can see written words and not be sure how to pronounce them or of their precise meanings. Curious people will find out; MTG lacks curiosity. She employs clichés in her speech without fully comprehending their meaning. But it works for her. She knows a sufficient amount, is attuned to all the conspiracies and has a keen political instinct which she employs to good effect with 'the base'. For now she's a successful politician, love her or loathe her.

Misspellings, improper verbiage, incorrect punctuation, etc. A lot I'm sure, has to do with folks that just didn't pay attention in school. They were preoccupied with things considered more important. Some it was the education system. However, I think those of the older era's had more intensive education systems. Marjorie Greene is a product of a functioning electoral system. If she can get the votes in her district then they should be honored just like any other elected official. The fact that what is being said ;overall by her; may not agree with one person to another, we should not disregard the voice of the voter. It's not like she is a highly educated person as there are plenty of people with her general level of formal education who are still surprisingly stupid in many ways. From my experience, formal education is a great way to enhance existing intellect, but it doesn't reverse preexisting stupidity. As the old saying goes: "You can't fix stupid". Some people have trouble remembering faces, some people have trouble remembering dates, numbers or names, some people have trouble remembering the spelling of infrequently used words, and some people have trouble remembering the ‘pronunciation’ of infrequently used words.
Training helps getting better at this (and education is often a form of training) but I still typed ‘dislexia’ just now (but thanks to spell checking, this mistake got flagged). In some ways, when quite a lot of people write “there” instead of “they’re” or vice versa, that is similar to when MTG says “peach dish” instead of “petri dish”. If one would ask her which of these two options is the correct one (and if she would allow herself to think before speaking), she very likely would know which is the correct version.

For those who misspoke, we had a silly expression back in our 1960s college days: THEY GET THEIR TONGUE TWISTED AROUND THEIR EYE TEETH AND THEY CAN'T SEE WHAT THEY'RE SAYING !!!

She just doesn't know what she doesn't know. Like someone else commented it is kind of a southern thing (I've witnessed this a lot) Some southerners (not all) have their own words for what they think a word is and they just go with it. She's heard those words and phrases before but is perhaps not curious enough to find out what the actual word is that she is trying to use. Therefore she doesn't even know that she's not using the correct words and has not been taught otherwise.

I generally think of "dumb" or "stupid "as different from uneducated (or academically challenged). I have a friend who never finished high school. He tells me he stayed back twice and just couldn't focus on any studies. I don't think of him as dumb. He's a very accomplished carpenter and has good logical reasoning skills - he just, in my opinion, has a learning disability. When I use the word stupid, I'm usually talking about someone whose attitude is a big part part of the problem. Stupid people don't want to be smarter, they have contempt for education and well educated people, and many of them think of themselves as the smartest person in the room. One of the hallmarks of stupidity is the ability to totally ignore established facts and they often times substitute false or made up data to debate a point. So yeah, I'd say she's this dumb.

She is like a little child that mis-hears a word or phrase. As a toddler my daughter mispronounced “magazine”, and now years later we still sometimes call it “maglazine”. As for “peach tree dish”, if you are from Georgia- well, everything is ‘Peach Tree”! 😀

Little children call spaghetti “ busgetty “ but when they get older they learn to say spaghetti. MTG appears to be developmentally delayed in this process. And it’s not just in language skills either. She appears to have a poor understanding of science, history, geography etc.
