I love the details on the expressions! Their eyes' sizes become different when they die, they flash to black when they die from electricity, their faces turn purple when they die from poison, and they get burned when they die from lava.
They also do the thing where they flail their arms and legs, like how Mario did in Super Mario World.
The electric death sound has so much emotion behind it, like they really got charles back just to taser him in the back for that line

I also LOVE how Luigi is just looking up the whole time while Mario's ghost is literally begging him to save him. He's like, "Huh? Who's there? I think I heard something from up there! Hello?" Maybe Luigi honestly can't see him since he's not a physical being anymore, which would be funny cause everyone can see boos clearly.

Okay, but I was asking about the voices themselves, not the voicelines. In Wonder, I think one of the Toads has a male VA as opposed to the usual female VA.

I love how Mario's death animation in this game kinda resembles his death animation from Super Mario World. Which I used to see all the time as a kid.
Kevin Afghani’s doing a great job filling in the shoes of Mario and Luigi. I miss Charles Martinet, but his legacy is certainly living on and Kevin is doing a fairly good job filling in those shoes.

Yoshi’s body doesnt change that much as a ghost, he just loses his legs and thats it, he already have a ghost tail to begin with XD

Interestingly how they added a Too Bad! message, which was only exclusive for 3D Mario Games (Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2, 3D Land and 3D World).
The other 2D Mario game that had the Too Bad! message was New Super Mario Bros. U, but it was only for Challenge Mode, not for the main game.
Super Mario 64 DS and New Super Mario Bros DS also have the Too Bad message in the Poker minigames, you know.
@@kelvindean I don't think those would count because that is a minigame, completely different from the main game, and it is a Poker Card game instead of a 3D or 2D Platform game.
Challenge Mode from NSMBU counts because it still 2D Platformer, based from the main game.
It's kinda funny how the ghosts spin out of existence if not revived

Deeply. Charles did wonderful work as Mario's voice actor.
I think we all do to be honest. Charles Martinet did a great job voicing the Mario and Wario Bros for so long. It won't be the same without him, but Kevin Afghani is doing a great job keeping the spirit of Mario & Luigi going. I wonder who will be voicing Wario & Waluigi.

Charles was the OG voice actor, and he did it for many years. He's kind of getting up there in age too. The man deserves some time off after serving us for so long.

Fun fact this is the first 2d Mario game to have it when Mario or any of the characters fall in lava or poison with a power up they lose it in the animation in the oils games they still have the suit on in the animation
Mario and Luigi are not the same without Charles Martinet. Even Charles stopped to voice our favourite plumbers he will be never forgotten!

I want to know what Nabbit and the Yoshies would sound like if they were being electric-shocked (even though they can’t die by getting zapped by electricity) because afterall, I knew Nabbit sounded cute when he’s zapped by electricity in NSMBUD (New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe), but what about in this game? Like I know some of Dawn Benett’s Nabbit voice clips, but not all of it. Plus, the Yoshies might sound different when they’re zapped by electricity.

Well, he doesn’t take any damage from enemies (just like the 4 Yoshis), but he can still die from falling into bottomless pits, getting poisoned, burning into lava, and getting crushed.
Yet it’s not like that heartshattering Nabbit artwork on DeviantArt called “If Nabbit was Nerfed” by that-one-guy-again, and I must warned you.
“If Nabbit was Nerfed” was so terrible that it made the Nabbit fans feel pain in the heart and possibly go into a mental breakdown after seeing Nabbit being so tearfully in pain right after he tripped on a stone and got blood on his left knee.
