Hey team! Hope you guys enjoy this video. What else do you want to see from us? A big thank you to Daniel from FitnessFAQs for coming down to show me the basics to these three key calisthenics movements.
Nice to see you do a video with Daniel, love both your channel's. Would love to see you do another video with Daniel or the guys at Calimove on adding weighted exercises to body weight workouts to help with progressions.
Love the humility Eugene has here. Dude is super ripped and strong, but he's not showing his ego. Instead calmly accepting it's a new thing for him and learning from the ground up.
The thing with weight lifting is that it is a "fake strength". With calisthenics you build whole body strength, weight lifting gives you strength in isolated moves. It builds muscle for show, that is why you can pick that "strongest dude " in the gym and make him perform some calisthenics moves, he won´t be able to do it even the basic stuff.
@@Nerfer1234 they have the strength to perform the show, to do those isolated moves. Ask them to perform calisthenics moves, they won´t be able to, no real strength.
@@agauerm I wouldn't call deadlifting 1000lbs a show or squatting 1000lbs in competition a show. You could ask a calisthenics person to do either of those things and they wouldn't be able to do it. Why? Because they're completely different so stop comparing them. It's like saying that badminton is "fake tennis" becasue badminton players wouldn't be able to play tennis. No shit, because they don't play tennis. It's apples and oranges.
Eugene, even though you teach us so much, you're always trying to exit your comfort zone not only to teach us more, but because you're always a student of the game; a lifelong learner. You're an inspiring teacher and human being, thank you for your hard work and content. You always set an example for me to be better than I was yesterday.
This is awesome, didn't even need the generous time stamps. I just bought my 4 year old rings last week and started doing some progressions. I enjoyed a unique soreness after a few years of consistent body building. Thanks Eugene for the great content.
i always go to ur channel when bro science isn't enough for me. everytime i watch ur videos, ur calves are what stands out to me. its cool u try new stuff. much love from houston texas
Nice work boys. Calisthenics is the superior way to bodybuild imo. You get the perks of looking aesthetic like a body builder with the added benefit of it being more fun and looking way cooler.
Anyone else really enjoy watching Eugene take in and learn a new skill? Awesome to see the way he takes things in and applies them. Would love to see more of this, thanks Eugene and Daniel!
I like all of Daniel's collaborations, but this one I found especially interesting, because I've practiced weight training for over 30 years (although including dips and pull-ups) before I discovered calisthenics via UA-cam. So, training-wise, I come from a similar place as Eugene.
Was cool seeing Eugene being a complete newbie at calisthenics.. shows just how much its about technique and not just raw strength.. good tips from Daniel as well, overall enjoyable watch :)
big respect to eugene for not secretly practicing this for months before showing it to the world. also great that you have the couraget go for all these elite calisthenics moves even though they are very technical and almost impossible to get down correctlöy the first time
It is pure confident that you have someone standing there to see your weakness, see you doing the thing you have no idea wtf is that, and yeah that confident is the thing I need.
Brilliant video, both people totally understanding and respectful of the other too. That's bloody rare these days. There's often ego of some kind getting in the way. Great stuff.
I remember when youtube fitness first started really becoming mainstream, these "x athlete tries Y sport" always were really popular when it first started popping up, but somewhat became a bit dime-a-dozen. This was a really good video and still shows that if done right, the formula can still be executed really well without falling into the lame tropes of "omg look how different and hard this is" since this was still very informative. Great vid!
I have literally never try to do a muscle up on rings, after watching this video and learning the form I can do three in a row with super strict form. I have a little bit of experience was calisthenics and bodybuilding. Super thankful for all the tips and information I greatly appreciate it. Keep up the good work, I subscribed that I'm looking forward to new 💪😜🤙
Humbleness should be shown from both sides of the Railings... No matter if Calisthenics or Weightlifter we all aim to be better Versions of ourselves so its always great to see both helping one another.
Another really good sub is Bodyweight Warriors on the UA-cams. It's a bodyweight focused channel, but has a lot of cross over into mobility and flexibility which is paramount to all the moves you just saw. Especially if you lack either from strength training. Great content! Thanks
Respect to both Eugene and Daniel. We can learn from all disciplines. Whilst Eugene may have struggled on some movements, I'm quite sure Daniel would also be trembling if he were to attempt the Bulgarian drop set of death

Collab with TheFitnessjournals LLC dude's a bodyweight beast
Would love to see flexibility/mobility testing
Eugene held it down for team bodybuilder 👊
Thanks for keeping it classy
Came here from your instagram story. This is great quality content. Best of both worlds!
Big fan of yours. I follow both you and Eugene. I'm doing some bodybuilding and will soon mix some calisthenics. You're both inspiration to me.
@El CUCUY BOOGEYMAN Muscle definition and muscle volume are very different. You're seeing things.
Refreshing to see colabs not strictly from the calisthenics world :) good job guys

The collab we didn’t know we needed
Hey love your videos
Way to go Tom! Your content is top notch
Get a three way collab on!
Omg Tom is here too.
I like your follow along mobility routine videos. Please keep them up.
Nice, the two most calming personalities of UA-cam together.
@KVMVKVZ who’s the one sounding like a man baby here 😂
You obviously don't know HybridCalisthenics, check him out :D
Best content creator collab of 2020. Australia sure has fitness legends.
🙌🏻🙌🏻
I forget how tall Daniel is, which makes him doing the movements with ease so much crazier since the leverages on him are gonna be insane
Yeah right?! This guy is just next level strong. His legs are super strong and heavy too.
How tall is Daniel????
@@DBD120 He has mentioned that he's 6ft in several videos, not sure how accurate it is though.
@@jacobdn8964 He’s at least 6’1” if not 6’3”. I don’t remember his exact height, but I’m 6’0” and I remember he was taller than me
Plot twist, Daniel is not tall. Eugene is 4'1". ^^

This is my first look at Eugene's channel. Mad respect for the teachability and openness to the new movements, technique, and ideas. Love it.

This is the typical video that make you think “Don’t Finish, Don’t Finish”.
😅😅
Eugene and Daniel are two of my all-time favorite on-line fitness coaches. The two in a collaboration is a dream come true!
Glad to see fitnessFAQs here
You two have a good flow together. I’d love to see more content together. Great stuff!
Wow. Two favourites and the genuine ones. Thank You Eugene and Daniel.
No way the collab is so cool. So unexpected haha

Daniel is a beast! And clearly a really great teacher, so many great takeaways from this video!
I wish all the youtube fitness videos were this helpful. Really nice stepwise instruction. So refreshingly straightforward.
Yeahhhhhhh! Two of the most knowledgeable coaches together.
Thank you!
Daniel's leanness sometimes freaks me out.
I cheered so for you when you made it. This video was so helpful, thank you for creating and sharing

I’ve been waiting for this collab. It’d be cool if y’all have another collab where you and Daniel talk theory and technique.
Seeing Eugene get his first ring muscle up makes me happy :) . Nice colab boyyys

All Eugene needed to get it was to take his shirt off.
😂😂
Jeff Cavalier has a similar tactic when he’s teaching 😂

Thumbnail gave it away for me 🤣
Thank you for this amazing video Eugene. I would like to see how to implement Calisthenics movements into bodybuilding training.
Great idea
Check out the title Overcoming Gravity. Second Edition. This more or less the bible for such diciplines, but also a great text to add to your shelf
More collab like this when two iconic style of training meet teach each other what's best to offer
🙌🏻
More!
I wanna see you two go through a full bodybuilding type workout and then a full calisthenics workout after! That would be smooth!
Eugene, please do a gym tour, I genuinely think I get attracted to gym equipment at this point
