The drums really are the heartbeat of a song
I wish more sound guys and music directors felt that way

U GUYS ARE ABSOLUTE HEROES PUTTING THESE DRUM TUTORIALS UP PLEASE DONT STOP, THEY"RE AMAZING!!!!
Absolutely so helpful as a worship drummer, and an awesome resource to show learning students :)
Great example of less is more, great dynamics, and playing what the song calls for without overplaying.
So glad they are taking the time to do this
Love hearing thats its helpful!!
Love this guy! Has a unique style. This guy can do some tight beats and monster fills but always chooses to do what is just right for the song. Man does he beat the brass out of those cymbols!!
He looks really chill and Focused at the same time. I like it! :)
Not a single ghost note... how does he do it.
If y'all are wondering about the snare to all of this, it's a Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5x14, HD (not sure if its a dry) Evans head, tuned roughly to a B (pretty low), a moongel or two, and a pretty tight reso head, which will get you this sound.
LukeBogart im going to try it with my snare lol
Wow that fill at 4:03 was so tasty 👌🏼well done
This drummer Vincent something. Is top notch. Perfectly placed notes.
Incredible talent. I think it's so generous to share this behind the scenes type of videos. Very good. Think we'll be visiting Elevation Lake Norman tonight as a family.
I think you got the definition of talent wrong
a wise man once said: "Treat the drums like concrete, and the cymbals like glass."
Thanks . My first time playing this on Sunday . Don't even know the song yet , let alone the drum part . This will help ( as all the tutorials have ) immeasurably .
JESUS LOVES YOU ❤✝ ❤
Drums are the best. Truly enjoyed the video. ❤️
Play with the feeling, this is wonderful!!! great.
The snare sounds heavenly!
You nailed this friend. Great job! You got this.
Thank You Elevation Worship for sharing your talent! ♥️
Awesomeness!!! Pure Awesomeness!!! Thanks for putting this out!
Snare is on point
I agree.
So clean! Thanks for this! :)
Hallelujah

Good job brother
dude crushes his cymbals
4:00 and on 😍💕 wanting to learn that part of entry for the drums
Good afternoon, very good your work. I would like to know where I can playalogns without batteries of these workship songs. Thank you very much.
My church could use a nice drum set like this one.
keep working on the one you have! not to sound condescending, but even “bad” drumsets can sound good with a lot of work.
Can anyone please give me a recommendation on how to get a snare to sound like that, tuning and what not? It’s sounds so powerful
I am a drummer and he has inspired to play like him
I belived this snare drum is a Ludwig Black Beauty Snare Drum - Tube Lugs 6.5x14, with Evans HD Dry head, sorry my bad english... i´m brazilian
you are correct man!! thats what we used on the album!
He is bad. Hands down just great.
Cool ...could have had a little more pizaz but it's good ...all glory to jesus
Really good
Better than me
top
Looks like he is The Sherminator!
Try to cover IBC version :)
I need to know how to get snare sound.....😍
Are the last 3 minutes of the video, the reprise? Great play through!
yeah it is!
That snare sounds amazing!!!!! How do you guys tune???
Baterista bom Deus abem soe
What cymbals are those....?
Bad (EQ), THE DRUM IS SUPER GOOD
Is he the main drummer at Ballentyne?
I want that snare sound!
What's the name of the guy who did this cover because I want to look him up? I like how humble he is and how he doesn't try to exaggerate all of his movements like some drummers think they have to do.
Probably Vincent Baynard from Elevation Worship
Hello Elevation Worship, could you please tell me the cymbal set up you are using in this video & sizes?
Jason Argo probably all heartbeat cymbals. A few of their studio series i think? Pretty pricy but really gorgeous sounding.
Jason Argo Heartbeat cymbals are actually not as much as they should be. You are getting very high quality Turkish cymbals for a fraction of the price! From the looks of it he's using classic hi hats or epic hi hats maybe 16 in on those. Looks like and sounds like an epic ride, probably a 22 or 24 in, a classic crash maybe an 18 or 20, I want to say 20 in from the nice full sound they have, and a studio crash 20 in as well. If those are in fact the classic hats, they're most likely the thin version.
All Heartbeat Cymbals - hi hats: 17' classic light - left crash: 20' classic thin - ride: 22' epic ride - right crash: 22' studio ride
benpo97 not that pricey when you look at comparable cymbals like istanbuls etc. for what they are, they are well priced. (Though that still doesn't make them affordable for me) lol
Minute 4:04 the fill in. Whats drum sheet. Perdon my inglish
Is that a flat snare?
wow wow snare, what snare and heads, please?
Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5x14, HD (not sure if its a dry) Evans head, tuned roughly to a B (pretty low), a moongel or two, and a pretty tight reso head
Sounds Great! but this is not a tutorial, but more of a demonstration of process. I would love a Tutorial where you take the time to explain certain parts. God bless!
I know, but from a drummers perspective, this video is worth more than a thousand tutorials!!! I've learnt a lot just by watching how he plays the song (video also shows his foot work) Not sure any explanation could have done any better! Cheers
Who is that drummer?
Is that a Gretch Drumset?
SBDRUMS it’s a DW Design Series in a tobacco finish
How do you get that snare sound?
Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5x14, HD (not sure if its a dry) Evans head, tuned roughly to a B (pretty low), a moongel or two, and a pretty tight reso head
Good tuning
Tuning
Add reverb
Lots of reverb 😉
How are those cymbals not broken?
Isaiah Freeman I mean Cymbals are made to take a beating
they sound broken
Cymbals? What about the drum sticks?
Felix Jaffet but he's hitting them so freaking hard
Yes they are, but with dynamics. Which none are shown here.
Maineime is Danial
How many drummers does Elevation have?
Shon King roughly 4 that play for the main church ballantyne
@@taitemarshall why so many?!! Is that necessary? I don't play drums so that's why I'm wondering haha
snare
BPM?
What is his name? Anyone know????
Vincent Baynard! He is one of our drummers here at Elevation Church
Elevation Worship he is epic! Very dynamic musician. I’m playing this song this week and looking forwards to the power of his beats. I followed his tutorial on come to the altar and while it’s fairly simple it feels huge with the band, and moved the church to tears. Thanks for providing us with his name, as drummers are always overlooked.
@@elevationworship Where have drumspectrum
@@elevationworship please do drum covers on 'Hallelujah here below' album songs also....that would be very very helpful..
i love how he is using rock band drum sticks XD
Or is it DW
Anybody know the drummer's name?
vincent baynard. he's not really active on instagram or twitter though.
Vincent Baynard
what is the BPM for the drum?
Makr souji 86 bpm
You hit those symbols a bit hard but other then that awesome cover.
don’t like those heartbeats... but what a solid drummer
Esta bueno, pero la EQ... No se oye bien
Not a fan of Heartbeat cymbals. Almost sound like zildjian K’s
