I like watching Val for one major reason, he has a more theoretical approach to the game which he back with experimental evidence. This is the sign of a good teacher. One can learn a lot from his video. While other UA-camrs do a decent job at trying to explain stuff, they sometimes don't really know why they did what they did. They just do it out of experience or they are just clever. But to be able to explain your through process properly is a completely different skill. Keep it up man.

    Thanks for the video.
People hate siege not because they don't know how to use it.
It's because it forces one-dimensional and exhausting Springalds vs Springalds gameplay, which is extremely micro focused compared to the rest of the game, leads to losing the games in a second of multitasking, slows the game down, and replaces the multi-dimensional unit counter system with sniper duels between the same units.
If bodyblocked siege would not be unkillable with anything other than Springalds / Culverins and Springalds / Culverins would stop countering each other, the siege gameplay would be much more fun.

There was a lot of discussion on Reddit today. Siege warfare is not liked by many players.

@@Adribirdyup, siege is way too overpowered. Specially ottomans. 8-10 ottoman bombards can kill an 80-100 unit army within 3 seconds. There’s no other rts game with units that broken and over powered.

you can kind of treat mangos as though they are a horsemen variation. they beat range and are beaten by barracks units. So if you see something like spear mango then the answer can just be full spear. No springalds needed this way.

I think one of the best ways to avoid messiness in games is to be quick on your feet in cleaning up small messes/problems and coming up with adhoc strategies on the fly. That way if your game starts to derail you can course correct before it becomes a big problem. I think a lot of people panic and get frustrated a bit when things start to go wrong which usually guarantees it will go from bad to worse.

I've started to learn about strategies from your chanell. It was Abbasid feudal aggression, my first build order.

@@Valdemar1902 Thank you very much, Valdemar!
Today I've tried your newest Ayyubiid's build. It's great for one good reason: you are able to finish games under 20 minute mark, which is so great.
The only thing I need to figure out is how to deal with Feudal aggression, which is tricky as you mentioned in BO video.
