  • There are countless tales and legends surrounding the Aurora Borealis in the Nordic region, most of which give different explanations of the mysterious light’s origin - for surely such a beautiful phenomenon must have magical and powerful roots.

    If you whistle at northern lights they dance faster and get brighter. Idk why they do, but I 100% know this to be true.

      We were told never to whistle at them so I didn't risk it 😂

      @@AnnaBridgland growing up in northern Canada we were taught they were spirits returning to dance in the night sky. They were seen as a good omen. And singing or whistling for them and making them dance was the equivalent of putting flowers on the grave of a loved one.

    The Pure Folk call them Angel Song because angels are beings of light and so they sing with light. It is best not to sing with the Angels of the Snow lest they become annoyed and cease their chorus leaving the night in darkness.
