The Celerio is quite spacious, especially in the back, compared to the Spresso or Kwid. The K10C engine is smooth and sufficiently powerful; it feels a bit exciting at higher RPMs. However, there is a slight torque lag below 2000 RPM, but once you pass that point, the engine performs exceptionally well. In my opinion, the comfort level is quite good. Overall, it's an ideal car for city driving and occasional highway trips, although safety is not strong, similar to other Maruti vehicles. The fuel efficiency is remarkable; my 2023 Celerio manual easily achieves 26 kmpl on the highway at speeds between 80-90 km/h. **Pros:** - Incredible fuel efficiency. - Comfort is superior to most cars in the segment, except for the WagonR (which offers more headroom) and the Tiago (known for its better seats). - The K10C engine is exciting when you want it to be, but Maruti should consider offering a 1.2 engine for effortless highway driving. While the 1.0 is adequate for most situations, fully loaded, like all cars in this segment, it requires pressing the pedal to the metal. - Equipped with Yokohama 175/60 tires and R15 alloy wheels. - Features such as auto-folding ORVMs, push-button start, and keyless entry. - Smooth gearbox. - Overall, it’s a very good car; you should definitely take a test drive. -Good service experience. **Cons:** - Average build quality. - The power steering is not very responsive (there’s an auto-centering issue). - Poor noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels-both the Tiago and Santro perform better in this regard. Otherwise, the Celerio is similar to most cars in the segment. - No adjustable headrests. - Average-quality music system. - Poorly placed power window controls. -The lower variants, except for the Dream Edition, do not offer good value for money. Despite the cons, I am very happy with the average fuel efficiency of this car, and ease of hassle-free driving. .
Used to write off the Celerio as why bother when you get the same engine in the alto n spresso, or get the wagonr/ignis with 1.2l engine. But now slowly warming to it. Handling wise this looks like the spiritual successor to the 1st gen k10. The new k10 feels like an spresso with sloping bonnet. Also people have reported the celerio gives more mileage than the light alto k10 (start stop system?). Only doubt is the steering return action. Did you find the steering return action satisfactory or stuck like most cheap Marutis?
The celerios steering do return back What i noticed in recent maruti cars are at first the steering has good response and feedback and has self centering and after running for some kilometers it gets worse and feels dead.
@@revlimits hmm.. our old '09 F10D WagonR had the same. Steering was typical small Maruti EPS system, but after 30k kms, the damn thing was lifeless. Not just in feel, but was sticky in nature. Not fluid at all, and you had to constantly correct it. The service centre, workshops and tyre alignment shops could do anything about it.
@revlimits That baleno had steering related issues. Newer Maruti's actually have better steering return etc by electronically making that motor work in the opposite direction
steering problem because of low lubrication in steering rack and pinion, just pop open the rack end boot and add grease both sides steering on my celerio 2018 backs to life.
@@arunpranav3085 ZXI plus AMT.. Kerala Reg. Actually after I booked I have seen alot of videos it's old and may be complaining about Steering wheel issue. Happy to hear that now it's fixed. Thanks.
The jokers at maruti put celerio zxi plus price as high and same as Wagon R zxi plus. Nowonder why the celerio failed to click. Everyone's buying Wagon R instead. I also did the same. I went to see celerio and then realised Wagon R is way better deal so I took Wagon R.
❤ informative. . Thinking of buying the celerio Vxi AMT as my First Car next year mid, due to heavy city usage and 700+ kms once in 3 months highway usage..Budget is around 7.5L.. Will this be a good choice ??
