- Two new giant pandas will arrive by the end of the year to the National Zoo as a result of a new loan agreement with China.

The ice popsicles do not harm the pandas. They are made from water, honey and fruit by expert nutritionists. Every panda from this zoo that was sent back to China was in excellent health thanks to the wonderful care of the zookeepers in DC.
Ice popsicles will harm pandas intestines n digestive system pls if want to loan pandas hopefully DC zoo will treat pandas with love kindness n humanity 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏plsaje sure pandas are wed fed with fresh food supply n bamboos n not starving them🙏🙏🙏

Stop with your lies!!!! Have you seen the pandas at the zoo?? China has seen what the zoo feeds them and they have no problem with it so neither should you! They get fed plenty of bamboo, fruits and vegetables same as what China feeds theirs. They are NOT starving!!!

I don’t understand how Pandas born in the United States can get recalled to China. These babies don’t belong to you, they belong to us. They’re American Animal Citizens being born here you know what I mean? They’re protected by us, they are ours now. They’re children of this Nation too and deserve the same rights as our dogs. If China demanded we give all Pugs back, we’d laugh in their face. Pugs originated in China. Pandas are the face of the World Wildlife foundation, they belong to everyone who loves and respects animals.

Why are we having them birth cubs into zoo pens? It’s a sad existence and they’d be better off in a sanctuary - add some live stream cams and call THAT a zoo.

Sanctuaries do not have breeding programs. Zoos do, which is the only reason they are being sent here, to prevent extinction of the species.
DC panda facility had live cam in the past for the pandas went back to China. DC zoo will have the 24 hr live panda cam as advertised already.
